The previous owner is a very friendly guy who builds all his rooms. The waiting area could use some updating. There's not much high tech materials used but he did stuck to the theme in terms of the props he used. Although there's a few props in there that needed some updating as some were torn by other players. The great thing about this location is that even if you have two people you can still book the room as a private party. We went back another time and this time in their "Secret Agent" room. We had three people this time and was able to book it as a private party. Most of the puzzles were operated by number locks. The puzzles were quite linear and a bit easier than the "Alien Abduction" room that we tried. There were a few "tools" we've never encountered in this room that was clever and well incorporated into this theme. Overall, it's a great beginner room to tackle. Finishing off with their last room with four people in the "Quest For The Throne" room. Most of the puzzles were operated by number locks which we don't mind as long as they are logical which in this room they were. The hint system is quite unique as he basically puts the hints in correspondence with the puzzle folders. So it's extremely tempting to look at since they are right there and the hints are pretty much unlimited. We did use a few, but definitely tried to refrain from any temptation. The design was minimal to the theme but there was one "cool" gadget. It seems like sometimes it may be a bit "stuck" depending on how you use it. We did appreciate that the room didn't have too many red herrings and it was direct and to the point. The "Quest For The Throne" is definitely recommended for beginner escapers to try. *Since we've played at this location, the owner have changed and the name has also changed so we're not sure if the room's condition has been revamped or not. You have the option to get help and there shouldn't be any reason you don't get through before the hour ends, so the low reviews from that are bull crap. That being said, as a long time escape roomer, this place is top notch. The decor is awesome, the clues are well thought out, and like I said, you can get help anytime you want. It's only as difficult as YOU make it. I've done both the Aftermath and Temple of Laughing God. Both were so much fun! You seriously have to give this place try. You can tell they put a lot of thought and love into it all. Don't miss out!

So my critique is not with him! The critique is with the fact that this beginner room was very difficult. I mean maybe they are all this hard, I wouldn't know. But our one hour ran out and we still had the challenge we were working on and three others left. When the game god came in and said time was up, we chatted for a bit and asked what the success rate for this particular room was. He said it was 17%. We thought that was a bit ridiculous for a beginner room. But again, maybe all places are like that. So if you don't mind losing, lol, then yeah, definitely check it out!

I had a similar experience to Mark K last Friday…read more We had two foursomes and bought a replay. I have heard a lot about the course and wanted to play for some time now. The first round went fine and the course is beautiful and expansive (long rides between green and tee boxes), I don't think anyone would want to walk the course unless you have 6-7 hours. The second round didn't go so well. We were told that we had a threesome in front of us and that we would be able to finish the second 18 no problem. We got on the 2nd hole and that threesome became a sixsome. We called the pro shop and they sent the starter out, it initially cleared up but by hole #7 there were 6 people on the green all playing their shots. We called again and it became a he said she said thing. We were told that there the 2 extras were only watching, but yet 6 people had bags on their carts. To make things worse, our cart died. We had to get pushed to the turn where we switched out our cart. While we were getting our cart switched, I walked into the pro shop to voice my displeasure and asked if they usually let sixsomes out. The reply was "not usually, but sometimes". If I had known that, I wouldn't have driven 1.5 hours and paid $200! Since the people in charge decided to do nothing about the sixsome and we would never finish the second 9, we decided to play the front 9 AGAIN. After 3 holes, our cart died again. There was no answer from the pro shop and we asked the cart girl to send help...that help never came. To top it all off after having my cart pushed for the remaining 6-7 holes, when we finished, we pushed the cart next to my car where I unloaded everything. I was about to leave and someone who was in charge of the carts came and got the cart, he told me "it was a d!ck move to leave the cart there". So I have 1 cart that doesn't work, switch it out for another cart that doesn't work, have to play behind a sixsome and don't get to play the 2nd back 9, and I am the one who is wrong? It's unfortunate because the course is beautiful, but the customer experience is probably the worst I have ever had. It was not worth the drive or the money for me.
