The previous owner is a very friendly guy who builds all his rooms. The waiting area could use some updating. There's not much high tech materials used but he did stuck to the theme in terms of the props he used. Although there's a few props in there that needed some updating as some were torn by other players. The great thing about this location is that even if you have two people you can still book the room as a private party. We went back another time and this time in their "Secret Agent" room. We had three people this time and was able to book it as a private party. Most of the puzzles were operated by number locks. The puzzles were quite linear and a bit easier than the "Alien Abduction" room that we tried. There were a few "tools" we've never encountered in this room that was clever and well incorporated into this theme. Overall, it's a great beginner room to tackle. Finishing off with their last room with four people in the "Quest For The Throne" room. Most of the puzzles were operated by number locks which we don't mind as long as they are logical which in this room they were. The hint system is quite unique as he basically puts the hints in correspondence with the puzzle folders. So it's extremely tempting to look at since they are right there and the hints are pretty much unlimited. We did use a few, but definitely tried to refrain from any temptation. The design was minimal to the theme but there was one "cool" gadget. It seems like sometimes it may be a bit "stuck" depending on how you use it. We did appreciate that the room didn't have too many red herrings and it was direct and to the point. The "Quest For The Throne" is definitely recommended for beginner escapers to try. *Since we've played at this location, the owner have changed and the name has also changed so we're not sure if the room's condition has been revamped or not. We were invited to join another couple in this escape room adventure. The business is located on…read morethe lowest level of the casino's underground outlet mall. Enter the mall inside the casino, there is no exterior entrance, and take the escalator or elevator to the lowest level. They are located at one end of this single hallway, multi level, mall complex. (Maybe check the casino website for a floor plan before you go.) The business is open limited hours and requires online reservations. We arrived early enough that they had not yet opened their doors. Another party reserved in the same time slot called to let staff know they were running late. The staff were able to accommodate their late arrival and begin our session a bit late because that nights schedule had room. Normally they would have begun the session at the scheduled time. The waiting area is super cool. I just love it! Very imaginative. Fantastical. And they have a Zoltar! Very nice. Just don't make a wish to be 'Big'. Staff were all very friendly. Once everyone was present, we were lead down a hallway behind a door off the waiting area and brought into one of the rooms. The staff member gave a very quick rundown of some rules and let us know if we needed help they were watching and to just raise our hands. Everyone had to ask for the hint to get one. There is no speaking communication. The hints were given on a video screen overhead so reading English is a must. We worked pretty well with the other party. I had expected one puzzle to lead you to the next, but these were mostly independent puzzles. You didn't know which you needed to solve first, but each time a puzzle was solved a door or compartment would open to reveal something you will need for another puzzle. All together there were three rooms and I lost count of all the different puzzles. Honestly it was kind of frustrating at times. We did manage to get a few puzzles completed without a hint, but most took one or two hints. We were 'on the right track' but just hadn't pursued it quite enough. Time was running short - yes, the sessions have a time limit - so we asked for all the hints that we could! That really helped move us along, and yes, we did manage to solve all the puzzles and get to the exit. Woo-hoo! In the end, it was quite fun and a nice entertainment. There were a variety of puzzle types and some props were used for more than one puzzle. There are also plenty of items that are of no use and just there to distract you. It took everyone's different skills to get the puzzles done. The rooms are on the small size, some more so than others, and I would not have liked more than eight in the space, but ten may have fit comfortably as well. At the end of our adventure we were quickly escorted out of the area so they could reset it for the next reservation. Our memories of the experience are very positive. Maybe a bit pricey, but in the end, we don't remember the cost and we do remember the experience. So there ya go.

It was a great escape room, good quality and many rooms. We did the apocalypse one. We died.read more

While I had never been to a VR arcade before, I have used an Oculus headset in the past and so I more or less knew what to expect. The staff member working at the time, Scott, was extremely friendly and helpful, and gave me an overview of all the different games that were available to play. For Room-Scale VR, they have 30, 60, 90, or 120 minute play times. I paid for 30 minutes, which was $28. I started off with an archery game called Elvin Assassin, where I had to defend a castle from orcs who were invading. I felt like Robin Hood, it was so fun! Next I played a Rythmatic 2 game (which was similar to Beat Saber) where I had to use light sabers to slash beats of music as they flew toward me. This one also required some shuffling back and forth, and I was honestly a little out of breath by the time I finished! I ended with a game called Ragnarock, which was another music game where you're sailing on a viking ship and need to pound drums with giant hammers to the sound of the beat. I was able to play all three games within the 30-minute session. I had a really fun time and can't wait to go back! I would highly recommend for a night out with friends, birthday party, etc.

I thought it was so cool to have the ability to play multiplayer games with our friends where we could actually see each other in-game, and they had an awesome selection of games to choose from (100+!). My favorite part was getting to do the racing similar with my fiancé. It felt so real, and the feeling of accelerating was so cool! I wasn't sure how I would do since I have a pretty bad history of motion sickness, but I was surprisingly fine. Xperiment VR makes a great family outing or date night, and would definitely be a great place for birthday parties!

As far as the rooms....we did the Captivity experience. I wouldn't want to do it with the full number of people, particularly in the captive half, as the room was kind of cramped. The puzzles were ok, some were clever, some annoying, some simply "find the hidden item/key." In general, a lot of finding codes. No physics tricks, no riddles, no math puzzles, etc. At least not on our side. We were grouped up with 4 other people (in the adjacent room) who had to help us. You could tell they were bored about half way through or so. Its also kind of odd that you spend the entire event separated into two groups. The last time I did a multi-team, multi-room one, we were joined about half way through, and worked the rest of the clues together. Couldn't do that here, so it was frustrating when I saw some of the people on the other side give up. Should have considered the BYOB option... The setup in some of the other ones I've done was definitely more developed, and they also watched us and interacted at times. This one they definitely do not, nor do they have any waivers or agreements. It's also cheaper though, particularly if you use a Groupon...

We drove around the large complex twice, and no luck. We called the number on the website, and no luck. Finally, after walking near every single door, did we spot a sign for the location (conveniently located behind a plant), and then a tiny sign on a door not visible from the street. The location is three interior rooms at a business park-- shabbily put together. When we told the nice, younger woman working about the signs, she told us that they know about the problem, but the signs keep disappearing. It took us about 20 mins to find the spot - new signs need to be put up! We went with the Egyptian themed room (the hardest one, we were told). The room had a few locked boxes in it, some Egyptian "artwork" on the walls, etc. Most of the puzzles and clues were trying to determine the combinations for the locks, but some of the clues were so (for lack of better word) lame. Invisible ink was overused, a lot of clues were just magic marker on index cards, and at the end, when magnets were supposed to unlock the door, we were off by millimeters and it didn't open, even though we had them properly arranged. The whole room felt rundown and lacking any creativity. Overall, not worth the time or money. Find a better escape room experience.

All at a price point that won't leave you scratching your head. My wife and I came here to wrap up our anniversary escape room tour and absolutely had a great time. We were immediately welcomed by the owner who struck up conversation about how they just opened recently, what they're working on, and some of the neat little features that they're implementing as part of the Escape Room Passport program that a lot of other New England escape rooms are starting to do recently. Super enjoyable and warm to talk to, like most owners in the escape room community seem to be. The prices are right on par with others in New England at $25 a head, though I did LOVE the option for a little more (+$5\person) to make the room private. That's a feature that not many others offer, and gives great flexibility to people wanting to give these types of games a try in a more private atmosphere, without worrying if you'll be grouped up with strangers in the room. The room itself was really fun. Clues were clear, and flowed into each other nicely. There weren't red herrings typical of big box or amateurish rooms that artificially inflate escape rates for bragging rights, and the non clue props were a nice touch, though a bit misleading in some spots. The production quality was right about what we expected for a newer business fresh into the field. Lower quality printouts and some hard to read handwriting had us scratching our heads in some places, but we escaped the room, and had a blast doing it. Overall this place has so much promise, and if you're in the Wakefield\Naraggansett area looking for a fun activity that isn't tough on the wallet, this place is a super fun tucked away spot to have a great time!
