We started using Lang a few years ago to level our mobile home and an emergency bathroom plumbing repair and he did a good job. In the last year he has done multiple projects for us from dishwasher installation with our funky plumbing, replacing our bathroom sink and toilet including giving us good recommendations, and today replacing the belly bands around our home. Update: Ok, not sure what is happening but I guess I am experiencing the unfortunate scheduling mishap through David. We called several times. The first few times, we left messages. Then the 4th time he called back and apologized he did not get back to us and said he would stop by Tuesday or Wednesday and come by in the afternoon. We didn't hear from him, so we called him again and he apologized again and offered to come the next day which is today (Thursday 9/2). He would come by first thing in the morning. No one showed. We called a couple more times, no answer. It is 1:30 pm, I think it's safe to say he doesn't want our business? I'm giving him 2 stars because he did a great job the first time. The came on time, they were clean, quick, and helped walk us through every step of this terrifying process. Lang's team did a above and beyond job by checking every wall and door after the leveling was complete. I'm giving this company a one-star review because they never even made it to do the work at my house. This company used to be owned by the father who passed away and now it's owned by the son. They came and gave us an estimate on my bathroom about 2 months ago and then said that they were in the middle of a job and could do it probably the following week. Remember I said this was 2 months ago. My mom has been calling back every week or so and they don't even bother to answer the phone. Then today out of the blue, the owner sends my mom a text message saying that they can't do the job anymore and the estimates not approved and they're too busy and they just can't do it. Like that's literally the way he wrote the text message He didn't say hey this is such and such from Lang's mobile home services, He didn't say sorry for the inconvenience, And just like that it was over!! Waited 2 months for them to show up and then for him to just finally return our calls and say that they can't do it. I do not recommend these people to anyone this is a joke of a company. Needed our porch deck on our mobile home rebuilt due to the fact that it was 23 years old and no longer safe to walk on. Contacted Lang's Mobile home service and David came out to give us a quote and assisted us with choosing the materials needed for the rebuild. David is very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to mobile home upgrades and repairs. What kind of business owner says he is coming over to give estimates and tells the customer REPEATEDLY I am coming over and will give you a call back a half hour before I show up! Then you wait and wait and you call back and he says "oh yes I am still coming! but you know I am working on this (or that) swamp cooler because it is going to be hot and so I will be another or so ....Of course you try to be kind and understanding and there you wait and wait ...and wait and stand on your old arthritic back instead of going to physical therapy or doing all the other things you really need to do for yourself... You are hoping the man will show up and give you an estimate for which you are prepared to spend a significant amount of money for good quality work and you feel like you are in the twilight zone because then after six hours of waiting and repeated discussions with him and call backs to this guy who keeps kinda almost laughing you off, you realize ITS A JOKE, he is NEVER GOING TO SHOW? On the phone while you are waiting suffering physically because you are a senior with arthritis and you told him and you have been trying for months to hire someone to do this work and have read his excellent reviews (really??? )... I just had my mobile home fixed up with them, and they did an amazing job! Mike came out to the house for free and gave me a quote (at first I called a bunch of people to see who had the lowest prices; these guys were the most affordable). A couple weeks later I called him and said that I wanted to follow through with the repairs. Mike came the very the next day and did an amazing job. Not only did he level the whole house as promised, but he also helped align all the doors and fix the locks. While he was leveling the house, Mike also fixed many several minor issues without charging me anything extra. He looked over the whole house and gave me loads of advice on how to correct and prevent other potential problems. He helped me pick out a new garbage disposal online, and recommended products that would help me maintain the house. This man has clearly been doing house repairs his entire life. OMG! These guys are great. Responded quickly, called me back, came out and fix repaired all in one day. They were friendly and very helpful. As the person I had reschedule 2 other times to come do the handyman work (door trim around 2.5 doors, light fixtures put up and a couple of other things) was a no show. I have floors coming in on Friday and needed the trim put up prior to that. I called several companies even one person from Repair Wizards was basically rude and hung up on me. Well I called Lang's Mobile Home Service and spoke with David Lang, I explained to him my dilemma, but he wasn't sure he could do the work he said he would get back to me in an hour. I kept frantically looking for someone to do the work, then David Lang called me back and said they could come out and put up the trimming. He also put up 3 light fixtures, gave me some pointers on painting I didn't know about and put in 2 new door knobs for me. I am very impressed with Lang's Mobile Home Service especially on very short notice that they were able to come out to help me with my situation. I cannot speak highly enough of David Lang and his team. While most contractors who advertised in the local Mobil Home magazines wanted a big chunk of cash prior to the job and wouldn't take credit cards, David Lang's company is totally professional. Before the new floor was installed in my elderly mother's Mobil home, I got seriously ill and hospitalized. Unable to assist with even the tiniest detail, I was overwhelmed, amazed and so impressed with Lang"s ability to take the initiative, go in and get the job done in one day! First of all, I know I'm very late on writing this review. Work was done in November 2018. Since Lang's has been out, starting Feb. 2019 till present we've had 5 deaths in our family & I've had a severe leg injury that required extensive surgery & still recovering from. I hired Lang's to replace the carpets on the front porch/steps and the back landing/steps on the driveway side. David prices were extremely HIGH, the work was decent BUT when he was finished I had to have him come back in the next day or two to put ALOT more glue so that the carpet (front porch) would stay stuck to the wood platform. The back door landing (platform) was put in a long time ago by my Dad in several pieces, over time they became weak & squeaky. After the work was done (back steps landing) I noticed that David DID NOT put (1) solid piece of a wood platform. When he came back to put ALOT more glue under the carpet on the front porch I asked him about the back steps landing. He said that the wood was fine and if I wanted a (1) solid piece of new wood he was going to charge me $300.00 to go to Sacramento to get the permit to put in a new landing and another $700.00 to redo it. My father had already paid David over $1,300.00 for the work he had already done and wasn't done right. My father refused to pay him anymore $. David should have been honest and told my Dad & I that the wood on the landing should be replaced due to safety & codes and let us make the decision on whether or not we wanted a new wood landing, (which we would had agreed on to have had it replaced) but he did not give us that option. Any GOOD contractor would have had showed us this & suggested that we do the replacing of the landing due to first & foremost safety & then codes. When he came out for the estimate I asked him if he cleans & resprays the iron rails and he said no that would be a extra $150.00 when it should have been part of the estimate not a extra charge. My Dad asked him if we bought the black spray paint would he do the rails and he said yes with no charge. Are you kidding me, to charge someone for doing the rails when that should be included in the estimate & the job, that's part of doing the steps & landing. It is both my father & I fault for not getting more estimates but Lang's was highly recommended by my neighbor, so I took his word. I will NEVER do that again & yes I learned my lesson. Now 2-1/2yrs later the back porch landing is aweful due to David lack of interest in his work & not being honest with my father & I on recommending that the back door landing be replaced for safety reasons & up to code. I feel he did this on purpose to make more $ off of my Dad. I did tell the personnel in the office of the mobile home park I live in what he had done. They were not happy on hearing what had happened. My Mom & Dad had lived in this park for 37yrs and always had good luck with other businesses that are related to doing repairs on mobile homes. There was a strong terrible smell coming from underneath my mobile home. I thought the smell was from leaking sewage. I called Lang Mobile home service and they came within one hour. They checked and found no leakage but found a dead rat instead! They removed the dead rat and didn't charge me any service cost! I insisted to pay but they declined! Lang's Mobile Home Service did a good job for me. I needed skirting repair and similar repairs and he did it efficiently. He really knows what to do. As described in a few other reviews I read, he is generous and willing to do a little extra work at no charge. There was something I forgot to mention to him, and at the end I told him about it, and he offered to fix that extra thing at no extra charge. That's really going the extra mile. And he did that extra work in that same hour. I would have put 5 stars, instead of 4, but I had difficulty trying to get a call back, when I tried to reach him after the estimate. Later he explained that because of the holiday season there was nobody to answer the calls while he was out working. So if you have that problem, then I say just be patient and call at all the different times when he might be between jobs, or before he goes out to a job in the morning. I reached him when I called at about 8 or 8:30 a.m., and from then on everything was a breeze, and he did all the work that same day! He is helping me with a complete remodel of my master bath, It has really just started and he has been a big help and a wealth of information, super easy to work with, and knows how to fix just about anything and his rates are FAR better then anyone else I have spoken with. I am in construction on the General Commercial Side, residential is a totally different beast....the home owner is much more at the mercy of the trades people so it is nice to know that Lang Construction is more into helping people than ripping them off. He was the one who actually came out, greeted my wife with a very friendly introduction and wrote up an estimate for the front porch steps recarpet and gutter reattachment. He even left a carpet sample. The other person who did call me back never showed up again after rudely asking my wife if I was home, and just left because I wasn't home. David was called back to perform the work he estimated. He didn't make assumptions and wasn't trying to have me replace my gutter or redo my porch, including rebuilding anything that may have rotted. None of that was the case from David. Things looked good, so he took care of it. Just straight to the point and not upselling. The recarpeting looks great - all the threads lined up symmetrically. We have a hard time closing our main door until it was impossible to close it. Generally, this is due to level problem so I Yelped and called several mobile home service for a ball park cost. Among them, Lang's Mobile Home Service quoted the lowest. The schedule was immediate and after three days, Amir (with another guy) came to do the final inspection to determine the scope of work. Instead of getting the final estimate, I got a FREE door repair that restored everything back to normal. Yes, it's free of charge considering their effort of coming over to do the inspection. Apart from the free service, they also gave us tips in maintaining mobile home. Isn't that nice? I will surely call them back for future repair. read more

David came out the next day and discovered what the problem was, two of the fan blades had broken off. Repaired it quickly and efficiently and did not charge us an arm and a leg. There is no comparison to David and his team for the quality of work and expertise they have. We have done multiple jobs with them. I have to be honest, I was hesitant to give a 5-star rating, but only because he can be difficult to get hold of. That being said, my experience with his service and price has always been great. I needed a fast temporary fix applied to a leaking roof and David responded next-day to my voice mail. With a new storm approaching in 48 hours, David got things in place with time to spare and for almost $100 less than the other quotes I had been sitting on and at least two weeks sooner. He also took photos showing me the extent of the damage so I could protect myself from other contractors overselling any permanent repairs in the future. The nice thing about dealing with David Lang is that maintaining mobile/manufactured homes is all he does, so he knows how to do things right and how to find the right parts and materials.
