Was greeted right away. Came by to find a blouse to wear for an upcoming concert. Great selection overall. Unfortunately a lot of their clothes run short. I'm a rather tall gal and need my blouses a little longer. It's a bit hit and miss for me. I wasn't able to find a blouse this visit. However, i was able to come home with 2 new bras.... YAY!! Lane Bryant often has good sales. So you can find some nice items at a decent price. read more

I always visit this LB location when I'm in San Diego. Good selection of both clothing options as well as Cacique. Iliana and Michelle were kind and helpful, answering questions about current promos and style recommendation's. I didn't make any purchases this visit but the customer service alone motivates me to return when I am in town again. read more

Horrible staff at this location. Lied about me and my family. Go to the other location

I do mostly online ordering. Love their bras and underwear. My previous order of underwear wore out so fast. I couldn't believe it. In all the years I've been ordering, never had that happen. Beware if you use their credit card. If you are late, the fee is very high ($30-$40) and they harass you every day with calls but no messages left whose calling. I found out through reverse search who it was. read more

I love the clothes I bought! However, when I walked into an empty store with two employees in the front area, I wasn't welcomed or acknowledged until I needed a fitting room. I told someone I was disappointed with the service...found out she was the manager and said she was going to lunch. Staff could use some good customer service training. Love my clothes, tho! read more

I came in to buy bras and the young lady was so nice to me she went out of her way to help look for my size bras. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. She is a young Hispanic girl that works there. I'm actually going back this week to get some more stuff. Thank you for your wonderful staff! read more

They seem to have cute stuff here, I came to return a gang of ill fitting and very uncomfortable bras I bought online, which took way too long to show up. I couldn't find anything that fit me very well and I ran out of patience and time as I was getting no help in the fitting room and told I could make an appointment for that... uhhhhmmmmm yeah. No thanks. Get undressed, try on bra, get dressed, get another ill fitting bra, go back in, get undressed, etc. By the second or third time, I was totally over it. Very frustrating and time consuming. I'm not a mall shopper in general and this place didn't have me itching to return. It was just a general fail. A good friend of mine suggested I try this place out, it didn't work, at all for me. Sadly. The bra search continues. Sigh read more

I was greeted by a person who was more interested in her list of prices than in helping me. I needed to exchange some bras I ordered online because you did not have my size in the store. I returned 4 and left with two - only two bras in my size in the store. The exchanged bras were not honored the sale prices that I got for the first set which is disappointing. It's so frustrating. Going to continue to shop online because it's less hassle than dealing with the store employees. read more

I stopped here on my way to Target, thinking why not, I needed a few pair of underwear and I figured Lane Bryant would have something for me. A pair of women were working that night, and greeted me right away, asking if they could help me find anything. Well, it turned out I also needed some pants but I wasn't going to ask because I assumed they wouldn't have my size. But since she asked I said, "Do you happen to have any TALL slacks?" and she said, "What size?" and I said, "Maybe a 16 or an 18?" and she said, "Let me see..." and she actually found me a pair of pants!!! OMG. Brick and mortar stores almost never have tall pants, so I just never bother to ask. But she found me actually two pair and one of them fit me well enough and I bought them! They also had underwear on sale so that was an extra bonus. Huge props to the women here, for being so helpful and friendly and cheerful and supportive! Thank you! read more

We were delighted to find a plus size store so close as I am on vacation and just found out I have an interview in LA on Monday. Being from the Bay Area there's no time to go home for new my interview clothes. Unfortunately this store had next to no professional clothing. All summer type material and style. The staff however is AMAZING! So helpful and kind. I would go back, especially if I need casual clothes! read more

Shopping for bras is always a pain an you're well endowed. Things have gotten extremely expensive so I suggest waiting for the deals. I needed to exchange a bra that didn't fit. I can't remember if I was greeted or not but I spoke a woman and asked to exchange the bra, I asked her if my size was available and she showed me to a rack near the fitting rooms. She did not help me search for the wireless bras which was a surprise. After my search hunt I found one wireless bra in the whole store that was my size. Katelyn completely the exchange and refund, she was very sweet. She told me about store deals and asked if I had found anything. She needs a raise. Thank you, Katelyn you were AWESOME!!! read more

Everything I go in this store, I have to tell them to just let me look and shop on my own. I'm there to look and buy things, possibly. But the employees are taught to constantly ask if you need help. You don't need to constantly ask people!!! I don't need to be spoken to more than once within my first 2 minutes in the store. Let me look. When I have to be rude when I'm not a rude person, it hurts me. And it's only this location that it's always to the point of harassment, each time I shop. You're making second guess if I ever want to shop at your company again. read more

Debra helped us today, one of the key holder managers and she was absolutely fabulous. The clothing was amazing and terrific prices. The clearance stuff was an additional 30% off. There's always some kind of sale a promotion going on. They put my clothing in the dressing room and came back and checked on me three times and got some additional sizes for me. They even checked other stores and online to get me a size that I needed in a pair of pants. Lane Bryant has really upgraded their styles and their price points are terrific. I was really lucky that I had Deborah help me because I was able to find some terrific Outfits to buy read more

Everyone at this location is super nice. The shoppers as well as the employees are all very friendly and willing to give you tips and advice on everything from finding clothes that fit properly, to weight loss advice, to just flat out saying "You can do it. You won't be shopping here much longer!" If it wasn't for the following, they would've gotten 5 stars: - Lane Bryant's clothing is very expensive. - The clothes aren't really made that well. The shirts are very wide and not long enough. Not all of us are wide.. some of us just have a little "junk in the trunk" and "junk in the..front?" Ha. - The lingerie is too "mature" for anyone under 40. - Not all of the clothes are sized the same. There can be a 5-size difference between two similar shirts. read more

The service I received from the employees was lovely. One of the ladies working there gave me compliments on my hair (long, wavy, and dyed teal) that really lifted my mood, all while being very helpful in finding me the sizes and styles of clothing I was looking for. She was attentive and made sure I found just what I needed. I would return to this particular Lane Bryant just for the incredibly friendly and helpful employees that were working there today. Much better service than another Lane Bryant store in the area. I came here for the 5-for-$25 underwear sale, because the hipster-style undies here tend to be of a better shape for my body than the selection found in department stores, and they do have some prints/colors that are suitable for the teen/20's crowd if you prefer comfy or cute over sexy. I recommend them. The only con is the price, as others have said. Average-quality clothing with a slightly-high price point, seemingly marked up simply because it's plus-sized. (Even the size 14/16, which is what I bought, is higher in price than comparable items at other stores, for the same quality of items.) Definitely try to come during sales or use the coupons they (e)mail out, as those will help alleviate the high costs. read more

My first time in Lane Bryant was a disappointment. I waited 5 minutes for an associate to unlock a dressing room for me while they just didn't seem to pay attention to the customers - and I wasn't the only one. Slacks and jackets were below average quality, small store with a minimal selection. I don't usually fit into Lane Bryant sizes but I have found a few good pieces online. If I decide to shop with them again it won't be at this store. Sorry, I just wasn't impressed. read more

So me and my friend went here to get full outfits for interviews that we both have this week. We walked in and Jennifer greeted us and when I told her the challenge she immediately started pulling stuff for us. I have kind of a difficult body type and when the first set of trousers didn't work she immediately knew which ones would look better on me. It was the easiest pants shopping I've ever had. Then there was of courses the tops that we had to go through. Me and my friend are in completely different color wheels but Jennifer managed to find us both tops that we loved. Then of courses there's the horrendous bra shopping. I needed a plain black bra and every woman knows how awful bra shopping is. Jennifer found me the perfect bra in the perfect fit in 20 minutes. The whole experience was amazing. read more

I went in to grab some sale bras. Not only were the deals awesome but the ladies in the store this day were fantastic, super warm, welcoming, and helpful! Allison was awesome! She helped me figure out the best way to go about my return/exchange combination with my online orders, and I left one of my purchased items in the dressing room without noticing, so she called me shortly after I left the store , and said she would have it shipped to my home, no problem, since I live in North County, and I rarely drive down to Mission Valley. Dear Lane Bryant: I could be writing this to Charming Shoppes as a whole, I could also write a letter to Old Navy, or even Torrid. I have many things to say to all of them, as well as the seemingly endless list of stores that carry 00-14, 00-20, 00-whatever arbitrary size they choose to end at (as long as it's a straight size. Don't need no fats coming into their ~beautiful store~), but the bottom line is no one is as backhandedly spiteful to the fat chicks as you, Lane Bryant. I've been wearing your clothing since I was eight. I don't know that your halls ever housed a bastion of delicious style that women were scrambling to purchase, though there were a few times when some nice items could be unearthed. No matter how many people have contacted you to complain about the fact one 26/28 is stocked per style, no matter how vast the sea of 14/16s and 18/20s became on your inevitable clearance racks, you have not changed; your quiet defiance saying more about your true feelings towards fat women than your "real woman" ad campaigns ever could or would. All of that has been said before, said well, and said by people better than me. This has been said before. The real complaint, for me, right now, has to do with what I saw when I went into your location last night. I saw a teal-and-navy chevron dress with a front-to-back bias cut. I was taken aback-- I was not expecting to see something I'd like so much. I tried it on, and it fit well, which is another thing that I never would have thought. The material was a light jersey, very similar to what Old Navy would peddle on their website. I tried a few dolman-sleeve sweaters for work as well. Everything was similar cut and fabric quality to Old Navy. There's not really a problem with that-- Old Navy is relatively cheap material, but it's affordable. So, what's my problem? The price for the dress was 79.95, and the sweater I'd thought about buying was 54.95. That is ridiculous. Before you even factor in sales tax, it's about 135.00. For two items. Two items of dubious quality, no less. I had seen a "Reebok for Lane Bryant" or whatever athletic top as well, but before even trying it on, I checked the price. 59.95. Now, I can't speak for others, but I would say I make a solidly middle-class wage, and for me, that is flat-out unaffordable. Let's play a game for a moment here. Let's pretend Lane Bryant does not actually hate its clientele. Let's pretend everything the media has to say about fat people is true. I'm not talking about health issues so much as socioeconomic issues. If fat people are truly lower on the money ladder, why is it that you choose to take sub-par clothing and price it on a much higher scale? The argument that there is a much smaller market, so the profit has to be higher per unit is bull. After all, according to the media, the number of fat people is just exploding. My entire point of this now lengthy ramble is that I am sick of having prices hiked up simply because the company knows its customers do not have many other choices. I would absolutely love to shop at places other than Old Navy online, Lane Bryant, Avenue and so on. I don't have a choice, though. I don't know how else to get the attention of Charming Shoppes/Lane Bryant-- Lord knows the emailing hasn't done a thing. I honestly hope that people will see this and talk about it. read more

WORST customer service on the PLANET!!!!!!! Walking into the store and two employees were too busy gossiping. We just had the most pleasant shopping experience at this location. Minutes before closing, on a Friday night, my family and I entered the store and were received with welcoming smiles and greetings. My mother and I went shopping yesterday evening for my mother to find something to wear to a girls night out. Defienlty found items that we loved for her outing, and could use our coupons with them. I do want to say how exceptionally professional and caring and helpful the sales associate Megan was, we were checking out and had issues with the machine taking the card and what not and Megan offered my mother a chair because she overheard her say how her knees were starting to hurt, and that to me was exceptional customer service, because she didn't have to offer that to my mother. I appreciate her helping us understand the sales and checking us out. I hope we we go back we get Megan to assist us. read more

I ended up at Lane Bryant for a bra, because my boobs need to shop there even though the rest of me doesn't. Bra shopping usually ends with me in tears and is always a nightmarish experience. Maria, my sales associate, pretty much held my hand through the entire thing, making sure everything was adjusted properly and that I left with a bra or two that I was happy with. She was super helpful and supportive (no pun intended) and I am so very grateful. I didn't give five stars because one of the bras will be going back because it's a little out of my budget right now, and even though I told her my budget, she wanted to push it so that I got two. I really wanted the two but I just can't right now. On the other hand, they were having a sale and she helped me find a 15% off coupon. Even then, my budget was stretched. Overall, this was the most pleasant bra shopping experience I've had in years. Thanks, Maria! read more

This Lane Bryant scams its customers! They up their prices when they put it on clearance and they're rude as heck. I was trying to buy a pair of pants and the original price was $49.95 then they put on the clearance rack and added 40% but they changed the tag to $52.99. When I told them about it they said it was just a mistake so they went and gave me the 40% off. But it wasn't until later that I realized me they charged me based on the $52.99. I confronted them about them and they were so rude about it. They said, well we gave you the 40% off didn't we? Yea. They did. But off the wrong price. They basically upcharged me what they were supposed to and were acting as if they were the ones inconvenienced. Hello. You work there. It's your job to fix these mistakes. And if you don't like it get a different job. The employees and the manager. Why? Why do you even work there? Now I have to wait for the district manager to give me a call to get this all sorted because customer support is just as useless. I'm not sure what this company is training the employees but it sure ain't customer service. read more

If i could give this place a zero star rating i definitely would right away. I agree with two other reviewers about the extremely WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I walked in and was not greeted at all, it wasn't like the store was extremely busy either. There were two cashiers behind the desk and another woman walking around helping other customers. I went to look around and see what bras they had on sale. I went to the rack where they had the buy 2 get 2 free ones. I felt incredibly uncomfortable due to the woman walking around helping other people glaring at me and making me feel like she was watching me to make sure i didn't steal anything. I had my 4 yr old with me and the glared at me like i had committed an obscene crime. I went on to pick out a few bras to try on in the dressing room, i wasn't sure where they were so i went to the desk and asked. The lady who was following me proceeded to snatch them out of my hand as i handed them to her, i asked her if there was a limit to bring and she snapped a said no. I went on try to said bras and went to check out. The cashier EMILY was extremely rude. Didn't say a thing except are you ready in a rude tone. And kept giving me son a dirty look. No conversation at all. She took my bras off the hanger and proceeded to throw them on the counter. I was finally done and paid. Before she rings me up she decided to play nice and ask if i wanted to sign up for a credit card and tried to sell me on it, i immediately said no. Why would i open a credit card with a store that blatantly disrespected me and my son? The only reason i went to this one was because i remember coming here and having great customer service and options as far as bras went. I will not be coming back to this store, i'll take my hard earned money elsewhere. They need to train their staff better. I don't know how they think it's okay to get away with this sort of behavior. read more

I just moved to San Diego and needed to find a lane Bryant close to me. When I lived in New Jersey I got most of my clothing there. So far I've been here twice. The first time I just came in to browse. The second time I went in to buy new bras and see if there's any clothes. When I got there, there was only one enployee working the floor and it was busy. Because of this, she was on the register the whole time and no one was working the rest of the store and had to wait for help. Eventually another employee came out. I didn't have the patience to try the clothes on, so I checked out and went home. Luckily everything fit. This is the only lane Bryant near me (10 minute walk from my place) so I will continue to shop there. I'm hoping the problem was only because it was the last day of the bra sale and not a regular occupancy. I will try shopping during the week next time to see if that's better. read more

Absolute worst service ever. Today I went into the store and was never acknowledge by staff. The store was empty upon my arrival. Multiple customers came in after me and were acknowledged and informed of current sales. I had to get a dressing room myself and on the second trip to the dressing room a staff member asked me if I needed help finding sizes as she was walking away from me. Never stopped or even made eye contact. Upon attempting to check out the cashier was on the phone and did not say a word to me. She proceeded to take my clothing of the hangers and still did not say anything. Finally she left a message for who ever she was attempting to call and hung up. She did apologize flatly but are you freaking kidding me she wasn't even speaking to somebody and she couldn't acknowledge the customer in from of her?!?!? She remained extremely rude and short with me. When I called her out on it her response was "there are only 2 of us here!!" I only purchased what I had picked because I needed the items today. If I had my way I would not have given these people a dime of my money let alone $115 of it. read more
