This is a larger Marshall's than most in San Diego. Departments are larger and better-stocked for the most part. Associates are helpful. There's plenty of parking in the shared shopping center. Access from the I-8 is relatively straight forward except for traffic on Mission Center Road, which tends to congest at the I-8. read more

Love this store! I always find everything that I didn't need here. So many fun random things to look at and it's open u til 9:30 pm for your retail therapy pleasure. LOVE this Marshalls! Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a Hello Kitty fanatic. I bought 2 Hello Kitty luggage sets, a Hello Kitty shaped vanity mirror, and a Hello Kitty yoga mat when I don't even do yoga! LOL They had so many Hello Kitty stuff here, I felt like I hit the jackpot! Now that I have my dreamy luggage, I'm ready for my next vacation! I'll have to come back to this Marshalls again soon, to see what else they have! The store is really clean and organized. Employees were all very friendly too! And of course, great prices! read more

I was shopping here today after going through a medical procedure. The cashier Gabi is literally the best employee I've ever encountered in a Marshall's/TJMaxx or Homegoods. She might have been able to tell that I wasn't feeling well but she asked and I explained and she was so empathetic and personable. She is an employee every store would want and she should be promoted within! She was incredibly sweet and made my day. I hope she reads this and realizes what an impact she had on me and I'm sure all of her other customers as well. As for the store this is one of my favorite Marshall's the selection is always amazing. They have high end clothing, skincare, and shoes. Similar to a Runway TJMaxx and they always have a ton of clearance. It for the most part is super organized. The only downside today was that the women's bathrooms could use some cleanup. But hardly a reason not to shop at this store. And when you do say hi to Gabi and thank her for being awesome! read more

Takes longer to check out than to shop. 16 people in line on a Thursday at 11:30 am. 3 cashiers, then only 2. One cashier having a ten-minute social conversation about nothing with the customer instead of focusing on the transaction. This has been the same experience the last 3 times I've been there in a couple of weeks. Happy to pay more by shopping online elsewhere. read more

Went to this Marshalls location after a hair appointment in the area. Was in the store about an hour, and unfortunately had my purse in the baby seat compartment of a shopping cart. I am *very* conscience of anyone being 'in my space' and (thought I was) pretty vigilant about watching my purse and personal items. I crouched down to look at something on a bottom shelf in the home goods section, for maybe 20 seconds, and when I stood up, I noticed my purse was unzipped and WIDE open. The cart was RIGHT next to me. I immediately noticed my wallet was missing, and ran to the front of the store. Told an employee near the front doors that my wallet was JUST stolen, and was met with a blank stare. I was then told that they had security cameras and would review the footage. 15 min. later they told me there was no footage of the area I was in. As I was waiting near the front doors, a woman came up to me and told me her wallet had been stolen 2 weeks prior from the same store, and the thieves immediately went to the Apple store in Fashion Valley and charged $2000 in merchandise. So it appears Marshalls knows this is an ongoing problem at this location. Called 911 and was told I could file a police report online. As I was walking to my car, I got a text from one of my credit card companies asking if I was attempting to make a $1500 purchase at Best Buy, right down the street, to which I replied NO!, and then received another text saying the card was declined. Long story short, I went home and cancelled all my other cards, but there were several items I wanted since I had spent an hour in the store picking out a couple holiday gifts. So later the same day, I went back to this same Marshalls location, around 8 pm at night, and resumed shopping. While I was there this time, I was looking at purses, and right in front of me, a 35-ish year old man walks up and starts cutting the cables to all the expensive purses with wire cutters, and has -no exaggeration- 10 purses on each arm, while the alarms are going off. A couple workers walk over to the purse section, and practically step aside while the man STROLLS (slowly!) out of the store nonchalantly with 20 or more $150+ purses. I asked a worker who was standing there is that guy worked there, as I could not comprehend what was even happening. The worker said no, this happens all the time. So the guy just stole over $3,000 in merchandise and was allowed to walk out of the store, no problem. WHY AM I PAYING FOR MY CART FULL OF MERCHANDISE???!!! If I want to purchase a bag that is locked up, I have to find someone to unlock it, and then give my name and it is held at the register for me when I am ready to check out. But absolutely NOTHING is done to people that make a living stealing customers wallets and purses, and the same people are allowed to just walk out of the store uninterrupted with thousands of dollars in merchandise. I love Marshalls and TJ Maxx and shop exclusively at these stores. But I am tired of paying (through higher prices to cover theft) for merchandise other people are allowed to steal. Obviously when one person gets away with stealing $3000 in high end purses, they will not only do it again, but tell their friends who will also do it. I have to wonder what would happen if I, an older caucasian woman, were to do something like that, if I would be detained, or I would be allowed to just exit the store with $3000 in unpaid merchandise also. I would also like to address the theft of my wallet... since I was immediately told by another shopper that this exact thing had just happened to her the week before, I feel like Marshalls should put up a warning to customers that there have been multiple incidents of pick pocketing, purse and wallet theft at that location, and to PLEASE keep your wallets and purses on your body and within sight at all times, and maybe the thieves would go elsewhere. Marshalls would probably think this is bad for business, however, they would be doing their honest customers a big favor by warning them. read more

I'm nuts for giving a Marshalls five stars, right? Some may say that I am, some may find me to be cheap, some may agree, but the moral of the story is that in a world of terrible sister stores, this particular Marshalls stands head and shoulders about the others. Four times, four freakin' times an employee approached me and asked how I was doing or if I needed any help finding anything. You know what, I did! The employees were eager to assist and that is a feeling that you never encounter anymore at places like this. I came here to check out the high end makeup but I didn't find any high end here until I hit the front of the line that wraps around. They had Kat Von D shade and light contour palette but I don't contour my face. They also carried Marc Jacobs foundation and powder which I already have. I did find a nail polish by Marc Jacobs for $4.99 but came out the store with nothing. The store was descent and clean. There were many workers here tonight. Lots of nice stuff. I kept looking but no such luck for me. I will try another location in San Diego. Maybe I will have better luck trying to find the Kat Von D shade and light eyeshadow palate in plum at another location or at TJ Maxx. Plenty of parking in front of the business. This location was pretty busy tonight with shoppers. The line here was pretty long. I will be back to see if they restock on high end makeup. read more

I am a really big fan of Marshalls, especially this location! One, the associates are always so nice and they really do keep their store clean and organized. I came here on Saturday with my best friend Cheryl after being here on Thursday. I thought I had found all I needed on Thursday, but after shopping about, I found a pair of black velvet palazzo pants and a Clarisonic dupe, they were each $4! What?! Amazing! I'm actually wearing the palazzo pants as I type! I usually come to Marshalls to purchase home goods and I rarely search through apparel so I was so excited to find something inexpensive but still pretty luxe looking! Cheryl actually came here for their candles! Candles here are so affordable starting at $2.99, there are a ton of different scents to choose from and then you don't feel guilty bringing home 4 especially at that rate! On our way to the register, Cheryl found a pair of Karl Lagerfeld sneakers that originally retail $139.00 for $28, plus they're still at Dillards for $84! What a steal! The cashwrap experience was pretty great, on Thursday I stood in line for at least 15 minutes, while on Saturday we were in and out of the line in minutes! Should you have time to traverse the many unorganized aisles, this place is for you. You will find something to your liking at a great price, guaranteed. From clothing, to household goods and even furniture there is so much here. Don't bring a cart with you, because it will quickly fill up. The line is always long, but moves quite fast. Ignore the many things in the line while you wait, because they are quite tempting (candles, candy, mugs, etc!) Also, the return service is great, IF you have your receipt. They are kind however, and the managers will try and work with you to help you stay satisfied. My personal advice is to have your receipt saved, or email it to yourself when you purchase something. It will be an option when you checkout and pay. read more

I am not a fan of shopping, unless I'm in the mood to browse through everything and take a ridiculous amount of time deciding I hate everything to find one decent outfit. Usually when I feel like it I have the boy with me who follows me around like a puppy. This place actually kept him busy for a good hour or so. I got to look through the clothes and find nothing I loved but I was grateful for the time I had by myself to find a decent bra without his comments and puppy dog eyes staring at me. The part that probably won me over was the lack of lines, yes kids you heard that right! It was the first Marshalls I have been to that didn't have that ridiculously long line that makes me want to discard my finds and run to the door. We got the boy some pretty good priced running shoes and a cute bra for me! I like that this place is close to work too! I challenge you to show me where. The racks were hopelessly picked over. There were shirts and skirts and pants and shoes on the floors in the aisles. There were people yelling at each other over items in their carts. There were signs for a "sale" section, but that sale section didn't seem to exist. It was pure misery. Not all Marshalls are created equal. Each store had a variety of items that you sometimes can't find in other stores. This is why I like to shop at Marshalls when I'm on a road trip in another State. This one is located in an area with a lot of shopping options. It's one of many on our list of stores. On our most recent trip, I found some cool San Diego Chargers t-shirts for our friends back in Phoenix that are fans. We got some early Christmas shopping done. To find the same deal in Arizona would've been impossible. Other than that, we didn't find much. However, the store was clean and well organized. Don't go when there busy it's crazy book not that bad but I went on Labor Day weekend and it was packed. I returned the next week during the day and much more chill and easier to shop. I got some nice name brand dress shirts for $15 a piece. Very stylish. I also got a named brand hoodie for the same price. Definitely a good place to shop if your looking for a deal on named brand stuff at a discount price. I always find first rate deals here especially in the home goods section. Calvin sheet set 500 thread count $34.99. Tommy Hilfiger bath towels $12.99... wash cloths $5.99. Superb prices. I love shopping in their kitchen, bed & bath, and home decor section. Overall, they are totally understaffed. The lines are horrendous. 3 cashiers and 8 people in line. That's horrible customer service. I have never been able to locate an associate for assistance. Nevertheless if you don't mind waiting in line. Certainly go to Marshalls especially for their reasonable prices plus brand name inventory. They have amazing deals, great finds with extraordinary prices. Parking is hectic!!! read more

This store is a great place to shop. Once you get past being followed and scoped by Loss Prevention at the front by the shoes the first 15 min, and you actually move to the cosmetics area to shop, things get better. I browsed for about an hour and was able to find what I needed in housewares. With after Christmas shopping it's always busy and long wait for checkout, but this store had multiple registers open and they moved the line very quickly I was very happy with my checkout lady and excited to start the New Year off right! Thank you check out lady for making up for the 2 Hispanic Loss Prevention guys who followed me for 15 min while I was shopping for shoes (which I didn't end up buying since I felt like I could not try any on but that's originally what I came to spend my $60 on 2 pair, oh well, DSW is next door). read more

Obviously looking at the reviews and the merchandise in this store, this is one is more for the ladies. My guess is that 3/4 of the merchandise is geared to women. The rest is housewares and there is a little section off the side for the men. We mostly buy soap, shampoo and conditioner. My wife says the prices are good, I have no idea, and I don't care. We have bought some pans there at good prices. The things that I don't like about the store are: Merchandise thrown on the floor by knucklehead customers, lack of organization, crowds kooky of people, long lines and just the general depressing atmosphere. This is materialism at its worst. I am always amazed to see shoppers with full shopping carts. My advice is if you must go, go early and on weekdays if you can. P.S. The reason I have so many check-ins there is that my wife likes me to go there with her. I go because I do love her! read more

I like to shop at Marshalls for Discounted cookware and kitchen tools, with any discount store its gonna be hit or miss, thats the price you gotta pay for bargain hunting. I like Marshalls in general over Ross because among the clutter of cheap stuff you'll occasionally find high end brand name items. I come here to search for All Clad and Le Creuset cook ware, and some brand of kitchen tools that im gonna keep to myself. (its hard enough to find them in the first place) I've even seen a Kitchen Aid stand mixer there! Of course there going to cost more than a no name brand, so you have to keep in mind what the original sticker price was and have an appreciation for the quality that you are buying. The trick to buying All Clad at a discount store is to know exactly what you are getting. Look on the underside of the handle at the base. No mark its first quality (no flaws) if theres an X its a factory reject if there's an S its a factory second Keep in mind that they have very high standards and most times you won't even know what the difference is, sometimes its just a visual flaw or scratch. What i don't like is the long lines, i guess they move pretty quickly and its just another price to pay for bargain hunting. read more

The customer service here is terrible. I turned around and walked 10 ft and they take your cart and put everything back. Prob won't spend much money here due to the lack of customer service. When I found my cart no one wanted to to admit that the returned the items from the cart. There is no urgency to assist customers. The store is always a mess. read more
