Lived here for about a year to be closer to work and was completely blown away by how beautiful the decor & floor plans are. This complex is large, tons of amenities & they do keep the property clean & sanitary. Huge shoutout to my leasing agent, Clay. His expertise & exceptional customer service is what stood out through & through. He always went above & beyond to resolve any issues I had during my stay here. I do believe the actual management and staff changed a few times while I was here. I heard there was some theft going on but I didn't experience any thankfully during my stay. I do wish they were more transparent and communicative with any updates, especially important news that residents should be in the know about. Tons of residential & visitor parking lot & this property is super walkable to a variety of businesses. Hefty rent prices but I received concessions that made it much more feasible for bay area living. read more

I recently toured Landsby Apartments, and I was genuinely impressed from the moment I walked in. I've been a resident of Landsby for over 18 months and I can't recommend this community highly enough. The units are sized well, stacked with best in class amenities, and swanked by a quiet and bustling mix of greenery and shopping centers around. The leasing team is par excellence. Responsive, considerate, and hard working. The maintenance staff is responsive. More importantly, the community is safe and welcoming. If you care about having a good lifestyle and balancing mental and physical health, this place has enough to offer at a price point that can seem justifiable. My girlfriend pays $5,800 a month in rent, but this is the worst apartment she's ever lived in. The management and security are terrible. Her Amazon packages are constantly being stolen, and today her credit card was stolen from the mailroom and charged $20,000 (she's already filed a fraud claim). And her roommate's car window got smashed and broke in. The lack of security here is unacceptable, especially considering the high rent. It's outrageous that the Landsby team does nothing to address these issues. read more

I've really tried to avoid writing a review and went to management directly first. I was going to wait until the end of our lease to write a fair review but hope to help save potential new tenants from our experience. When we brought our concerns directly to Landsby, the solution offered was that if we don't like it here we could pay our concessions back (thousands of dollars) and move out as "our issues were all normal parts of living in an apartment". I have lived in apartments the majority of my adult life and have never encountered these issues especially in a luxury space The ironic part of this review was that I had trouble posting it because the Wifi (they force you to have) is out for the 6th time since living here for 9 months. This has been beyond an "inconvenience" it is affecting our lives and careers. I cannot take telemedicine calls from a public space so rely on having connection at home. During our tour they advertised how great working from home is here. To be fair, the co-op spaces. Private offices, and phone booths are really lovely. There have been no solutions offered after discussing the wifi issues with Landsby multiple times. We have asked if we can have our own wifi company or if they can implement a back up wifi and nothing has changed since move in. If you work from home, steer clear as today my husband couldn't lead a very important client meeting determining a contract he had due to the wifi being out once again. I will say that this complex is immaculate and always clean and spotless. The management team has changed since we first moved in and are much more communicative. Sasha and Roman are both kind and I feel that many of the issues stem from upper management/Greystar. It's very pet friendly and the amenities are stunning. There are several lounges, tables, and grills so there is always one that is accessible. The pools are nicer than resorts. However once you get over the oohs and ahhs, you'll see that this is just lipstick on a pig as another reviewer put it. You'll notice many of the positive reviews on Google are from people who recently toured and don't live here currently or just moved in. Like those individuals, we were blown away during our move in process. We really were so hopeful and excited when we were moving in and feel deflated. Shortly after moving in, we noticed that something was broken on a weekly basis. To the point I made a game of guessing what would break down this week. This complex is just over 2 years old. The elevators are down for weeks and this has been ongoing since we moved in. You can hear someone sneeze in the hallway from your bedroom. Every time someone leaves their front door from a different unit, our unit shakes. Our building door was broken every other day for a couple of weeks. There have been mail room and storage unit break-ins. The units have design flaws once you get over how shiny/beautiful they are. The parking garage is an accident waiting to happen. Things are beautiful and not functional. For example, the dog spa doesn't have a trash can or a place to hang a leash (I had to ask for this and the trash can was there for a few weeks and then removed). There is no soap or blow dryer. These are small things we don't care about but add up when your overall experience has been negative. The mail parcel (that you have to pay to have) was down for over a month. We had to go to the office whenever we were expecting a package and the staff would have me go through every single parcel box to find my packages. Whenever I would ask how long it would be down for, they'd respond there's nothing they could do. Never an apology. We didn't receive an email from the office for several weeks and they claimed they weren't aware of the problem despite us asking 5-6 times about how long the issue would last. The following week I got a charge for not picking up a package in 72 hours while I was on vacation. I would like to acknowledge, Roman did make this right with us down the road. There was a time the water was contaminated (there is another review about this) and it took several hours for them to notify our building. There are random loud and incessant beeping that repeatedly occurs in the lobbies. Overall, there are pro's and cons of this complex but there are several luxury apartments in this area and I would recommend exploring others first. read more

Awful. In a word--that's been my experience. They call it "luxury living", but management does very little to deliver residents anywhere close to a luxury experience. First off, theft of the storage lockers (not in the garage, inside the buildings mind you, next to resident units) is rampant. Yet, management chooses to do nothing--no installation of cameras, no locks put on the doors leading into the storage locker rooms. Mountain View police say the thefts are 'an inside job'. I agree. How could they not be? These thefts should be easily preventable, and yet the management team does nothing, and residents keep getting robbed. These thieves have stolen so much they could probably take extended time off and go on an international holiday. Secondly, the apartment ceilings/floors are poorly insulated, which means you can hear nearly every sound, footfall, door slam, your upstairs neighbors make. If they've active late at night, look out, you're in for a night of little or poor sleep. There are widespread complaints about this, unless you live on the top floor. Thirdly, there's been repeated flooding in the lower level resident parking garage that, only until recently, has finally been semi-addressed. Prior to that, the water pooled, and sat there...and sat there. To get to your car, you would wade through puddles. The building is less than two years old! Lastly, random, loud and incessant beeping repeatedly occurs in the lobbies and garages suddenly, and for no apparent reason. This happens almost weekly. Management isn't inclined to fix or even address that issue either. In fact, the new motto for the Landsby management should be "Don't Admit, Don't Commit" as in "Don't ever admit anything is actually wrong, and don't actually promise to fix anything." That's what luxury living means at Landsby. During your tour of the Landsby, you'll be wowed by the ample amenities--gyms, pools, social areas, rooftop decks, but don't let the glittery trimmings fool you. It's literally the definition of lipstick on a pig. Save your money and avoid living in this place--like the plague. read more

Please don't be fooled by the nice amenities at Landsby. The leasing management/office is a mess and extremely unresponsive. A lot of the 5 star reviews you see on here are written by new tenants who are pressured into writing good reviews for better rent deals. I do not recommend anyone to move here if you don't want to constantly deal with incompetent management. read more

If you want to go back and forth for weeks and weeks with management with no resolution - then this is the place for you. While the amenities are nice, don't let them fool you, the management here is terrible. I lived here for 1.5 years. I had to reach out to the team to get renewal terms for my apartment and in the first case, they sent it to the totally wrong tenant. The 2nd time they sent it less than 3 weeks before my lease ended. There was no ownership on the delays from their team. Now I'm waiting on my security deposit refund. It's been 2 months since I've moved out, I reached out via email several times (the first few times I was ignored, only until I threatened legal action did they respond), and I've visited in person. It's gotten insulting at this point and now have to involve a lawyer. If they expect me to pay rent on time, then I expect them to pay me my security deposit on time. It's that simple. I would reconsider living at ANY Greystar property. (The one exception is Clay, he is a genuinely kind person that cares and does whatever he can to help). read more

First of all, i was going to pay June 3 at 11pm by bank account transfer. but then it requires me to verify that the bank account is mine by sending me a small deposit into my bank account. the small deposit is not made until today. Also the late payment is already posted on June 3rd at 11pm. Why would there be a late payment on June 3rd if June 3rd is still an on time date to pay? second, i was not advised by the leasing office that it takes 3 days to verify my bank account. I did not know until i try to pay for the rent. i try to pay it on time but your system didn't let me and make me pay 3 days late. third, when i was trying to rent this unit livebylandsby.com says get 10 weeks free. This is not what i get in the leasing agreement. Manager Maria drafted my leasing agreement and gave me 9 weeks concession. lol. Better read your lease agreement line by line or you can be tricked. fourth, I've asked multiple people and they said they did not pay a pet deposit. Maria sent an email in which she gave me BS attitude and charged me $500 pet deposit. fifth, there is no bathtub, you have to stand to shower which is fine but the water leaks out of where you shower and create a huuuuuuuuuuge water puddle on the water and make you trip. BEWARE Sixth, Manager Maria called me personally and gave me BS attitude cuz she heard someone took videos and photos of my urinating on the unit hallway carpet. LOOOOOOOOL. first of all my pet did not urinate on the carpet. second of all, NOOOOOOOOO one has ever took a photo or video of my pet urinating on the carpet and Maria still gave me BS. You will live in anger if you choose to live at Landsby. read more

Came to inquire about their STR policy. The leasing specialist Quincie made it sounds like it was not a problem and the management is fine with it plus others are doing it on Airbnb already. The next day I came to submit my application and were minutes away from singing it only to find out, just by chance, that there is a limit of 180 days that you can do that. That is a big piece of information to not disclose and just push to sign for an overpriced apartment. Her not disclosing this at any point during my 3 visits would have cost me a ton of money! read more

In the midst of dealing with their wifi, I received a rude message from an employee Maria Hurdato threatening eviction after putting a "scarlet letter" on my door. All because I clicked the wrong bank account! Now I am forced to use credit card to pay rent, adding $100 extra per month in CC fees plus paying their bs fee. This is absolutely ridiculous and I have never seen this before! The late fee is understandable, but not allowing the renter to use bank account is absolutely unacceptable! ^^ EDIT: Maria contacted me and reinstated my bank account and offered to waive the mandated wifi fee. She probably could have worded email better: this is a "luxury(TM)" apartment and not some 500pm dingbat, , but the response is the baseline expected customer service.. Moving from 1 to 3 stars. The apartment looks nice but only an idiot would pay its non-promotion price for 4200 for 1br. Mainly newgrad techbros who think their salaries make them royalty (unfortunately they will not be getting rsu after 1 year, assuming they don't get laid off) There are some nice aspects about this place, like the gym. But the negatives are too numerous given the expensive price: they don't clean windows properly, sort trash properly, force you to buy your own fridge filter will probably keep your deposit over some scuffs on the walls, .. Also, slow maintenance, annoying tiny garage door, not 100% soundproofing, bad kitchen layout. Never will choose greystar property again - should have known, the fancy looking but terrible apartments next to my university were greystar and after my friends were burnt I avoided them like the plague! I am so glad to be moving out in a few months! What a terrible place surrounded by Walmart/Target traffic, run by a terrible corporate behemoth. read more

The first time we found Landsby was in 2022 when it there was only building and the other 3 were still under construction.  We were relocating for the first time in the Bay Area and safety and Japandi style living was our goal. Clay was our lease expert and he has always provided top notch professionalism and very knowledgeable on the best units to pick from, his calm & friendly demeanor definitely sets him apart! After happily living in their 3 different units from 3 of their buildings as we renew our leases, since we've moved in 2022, we would have to say that the Landsby has met all our expectations! It is a beautiful property & their upkeep with the cleaning crew for all amenties is on point all the time. Any living interruptions are always communicated by an email and we've witnessed their staff go above & beyond in fast tracking resolutions to issues.  It such a safe living area with security reachable, available & visible especially at night.  We have seen different property manager teams here and the current one superseded them all!  Our last unit had unexpected water damage and it forced us to have to relocate out of the unit. This is usually a stressful situation, but we live at the Landsby so people are so on top of it! From the maintenance team, Nate and Travis providing the humidifiers to dry out the damage while Sasha, the assistant manager advocating and empathizing with our situation, to Quincy helping us find the perfect unit to move to, to Bird's friendliness and personal touch in welcoming us transition to our unit with  access and keys, the most wonderful general manager Roman who made everything right by us when checking in on how we are doing and even asking the corporate to help us with the transition, there is no better way to attest how awesome this team seamlessly work to make their resident's lives satisfied with their services.  We absolutely love living here & their social events, five star team, and beautiful living spaces and amenities really makes it hard to look anywhere else! Nothing compares to the whole lifestyle picture that the Landsby has to offer. read more

This is the worst apartment to live in. You have pay a mandatory $500 fee just to apply and guess what, they won't return the $500 if you don't end up living there or they deny your application - even tho they tell you they will you apply. They force you to pay $65 every month for their internet service. Their manager Maria has the worse and unprofessional attitude I've ever seen. This place gets a one star from multiple yelp users for a reason. You've been warned. read more
