    CBI front/middle skids installed

Last fall (sep/oct '20) I finally got around to beginning upgrades on my Tacoma, I recalled hearing about LCS a few years prior. I stopped by (I had trouble making contact by phone) to talk to them to see if they'd even work on my truck since not an LC. YES, they work on Lexus *and Toyota! We talked about what I wanted and told them a couple kits I'd considered (ToyTec and another, forget now) and they sure, but they generally recommend IronMan... Ok, did some research online and even chatted IronMan (who also has amazing customer service) and decided to go Stage 2 Foam Cell Pro - as guided by LCS and IM. We got the kit ordered in and my truck scheduled just before a trip to Joshua Tree. Sure, it was a little tight but it's WELL broken-in now (JT, Big Bend, Sedona, Moab, Hidden Falls and more in the past 9mo). I went by yesterday to talk about my driver seat as it's needing some version of repair/replacement - Toyota said I needed a new seat, that the springs were bad so I've been researching OEM and Scheel-Mann. Well, LCS had a different perspective and said I could easily repair the seat (fabric in perfect condition) with new padding/batting for maybe a couple hundred?! I ended up having a good conversation with Edwin (owner) about the repair need, and even went on to talk about my suspension related to towing and doing bumpers. This crew is legit!! Not only do they do amazing work, they're honest and will tell you the best way to do something - even if it doesn't mean they're getting your money. They did my suspension & skids, have pointed me to saving money on fixing my driver seat at a recommended upholsterer. This is a no-brainer. LCS is my installer for as long as I drive Toyota/Lexus--which will be for life. Thank you Edwin, Wes, Hunter and the team! See you next year when I'm ready to do my bumpers ;)

This place is the best around central texas if you have a land cruiser, they know the ins and outs of these trucks. i worked with Sean getting my AC up and running for summer, ended up replacing the whole system but he worked with me to make sure that 100% and stood by everything that was done if there were any questions. Highly recommended, hard to find honest mechanics in Austin, however, they can be hard to get ahold of sometimes so if you are close by id say just drive there and set something up in person.

TLDR; Amazing, just go. Make an appointment so you don't screw anybody, but great customer service,…read morequality work, and legit prices. After a "check-up" at my car dealership, the dealership listed a number of "immediate concerns" that needed to be address and would have cost a pretty penny (basically, oil change, tire rotation, wheel alignment & balancing). Hesitant to just sign on, I took my car to Dave's to confirm that these concerns were indeed immediate and would indeed cost the amount that the dealership estimated. Gave them a call to give the list of "needed services" based on my car dealership, and they were great about fitting me in quickly. Also, am going on a hefty road trip soon, so they added a free trip check. After the trip check and basic inspection, they did identify that there was a slight alignment issue. The other things didn't need to be address, but I decided to just go for it because of the trip, low cost, and it'd honestly have to be done at some point anyway. What I really appreciate was the fact that they communicated these things with me, showed me numbers that caused the "issue", gave me a reasonable price and let me make the decision for myself. They're great, honest people!

They correctly, diagnosed some problems with my Toyota van and fixed them, except for one important…read moreitem, and that was the oil pressure switch, which was the main reason I brought it in to begin with. So that's kind of odd. It's obvious that the mechanics don't drive the car after they've repaired it because that light was shining in my face the whole way back home and I don't see how they could've missed it. They also tried to sell me a bunch of other repairs and serviced, which were probably not needed. (I'm on a very limited budget). I appreciated the info and simply turned down those other tasks which I could either do myself or postpone for another time. I think the lesson learned is if you have an old car and you're on a limited budget (and aren't we all) watch out for suggested repairs which are simply based on the estimated age of the item or a maintenance schedule, and not an actual malfunction.

There are mechanics... and then there are the tired saints standing at the edge of civilization…read moreholding together the fragile emotional ecosystem known as "people who need their car to start tomorrow." Buddha's Garage is the second one. Dave has the energy of a man who has looked directly into the screaming mechanical abyss of humanity and simply sighed, grabbed a wrench, and fixed it anyway. I swear half the vehicles in that shop arrive after being spiritually wounded somewhere else. Other mechanics will look at your engine like medieval doctors diagnosing ghosts. Dave looks at it once, tilts his head slightly like a jazz musician hearing a wrong note, and suddenly knows your alternator was installed backwards by somebody named Tyler in 2019. And here's the wild part: he's honest. Like deeply, suspiciously honest. The kind of honest that makes you uncomfortable because you forgot businesses could still operate without trying to sell you seventeen imaginary emergencies. Dave will straight up tell you cheaper alternatives, better options, things you can wait on, things you DON'T need. I almost wanted to ask him if he understood capitalism. The customer service feels less like a business and more like your truck wandered into a monastery where everyone took vows of kindness and diagnostic accuracy. Meanwhile other shops are out here playing roulette with socket sets: "Hmmm yes, perhaps your issue is... all of the parts." Then Buddha's Garage fixes it in an afternoon and somehow charges you like they still believe in human dignity. Also -- Dave knows an absolutely terrifying amount about vehicles. Not "guy who watches YouTube tutorials" knowledge. I mean ancient-library-hidden-under-the-desert knowledge. The kind where you start explaining the noise your car makes and he already knows the answer before you finish making the sound effect. At this point I'd trust Buddha's Garage with anything mechanical. My car. My lawn mower. A damaged submarine. If NASA called and said a shuttle was making a weird clicking noise, I'd probably hand them Dave's number. I'm going there no matter what. If I move across the state, I'll crawl back on flaming rims like a pilgrim returning to holy ground.

A warm and friendly greeting was my first impression by the office manager. Amazing service from start to finish. Thorough communication from the technician and owner about the processes and service rendered. Transparency on all prices quoted over the phone and during checkout. Location was easy to find and close to convenient stores or a coffee shop for waiting nearby. Honest, professional, competitively priced, I have no complaints.
