He let me know they were busy but had an opening at. 4:30, but I said thank you and tried a few others places before calling back and asking for that appointment. The business is 11 minutes from my house in Pflugerville. I arrived 15 minutes and the guys behind the desk were so sweet and funny. Lots of jokes made. The testing is a standard state fee, but still in my opinion it was a great price. My Subaru is still under warranty, but when that runs out I will definitely use this business. This time around the price didn't seem to be reasonable. After an almost $2100 bill my engine light came back on and I was charged an additional $200ish dollars for who knows what. I've always used this shop to fix my auto for years. In fact, I had about 4 cars that were serviced at this shop over the years. However, this time they fell short of expectation. They said they could not get to diagnose the car because it was late in the day so we have to leave the car for them to diagnose the next day. When I called today, they said there's nothing wrong with the car and it's ready for pick up. And, the diagnostic fee is $220 +tax. I told them we were never told of the amount that they were going to charge. I would not mind paying for the fee if we were made aware of the charges ahead of time. They expect us to pay, yes! But, do they just expect us to pay without letting us know how much??? The guy insisted that he always tells everyone how much the diagnostic fee was...Well, evidently not this time. Chris was professional enough to waive the fee at this time. And he let us know that there's always a diagnostic fee...which I am very much aware of. I never expect it to be free of charge but at least as a customer I have the right to know how much amount I am supposed to shed before moving forward with the service. I think this is just fair. What is there to get an inspection first thing Miss said was that there was a light on in my car so I can do the inspection and then I went back seven and then I said I needed a whole Lotta things done to my car before they can do an inspection, but they could do it and they wanted to charge me the first time 100 and plus dollars to find out why the light was on in my car which did not make any sense since AutoZone was next-door. They do it for free so I decided to take my car to Manor to get it inspected. The guy said everything was fine. Got it inspected. I will never go to precision again they love to add to your bill. Chris, who manages the "front of the house" is very personable and easy to work with. He doesn't make a point to speak over my head then have to go back and explain what's up in non-auto speak. But he doesn't talk down to me because I'm female, either. I appreciated that they were not pushy with unnecessary services and let me decide what all I wanted done to my car. For example, it's been a while since I've had the air filters replaced. He brought them both in and told me prices, I picked what I could afford and that was that. I don't know if it was because I needed both an oil change and inspection but it took a long time for me to get out of there. I think it was almost 1 hour, 45 minutes from my appointment time before I was headed back out. I was glad I had a book to read! That's the only reason for the 4, not 5 stars. read more

Short and sweet; I needed to get a car inspection so I made an appointment for Friday morning at 11. Walked in, gave them my car info, and was told the inspection would take about 15 minutes. Sat down, my car was taken in after 5 to 10 minutes and 20-ish minutes later, everything was done! The guys at the desk were nice and didn't try to sell me anything I don't need. My air filter was getting dirty and they said they could sell one for me for around ~$40. I told them I'd pass and they were super chill about it. Out the door I go! The car inspection cost me $16.50. Pretty quick and pretty cheap! A pretty short review for me, but when everything goes according to plan, there's not much to say. RIP OFF place, go somewhere else, especially if you're a woman. The older guy was rude from the start, made sarcastic comments when I picked up my keys. Had a car that wouldn't start and needed to rely on a mechanic for help. Turned out to be such a simple fix I could've done myself. A loose battery terminal! When I found out over the phone that's what it was I was instantly relieved knowing it couldn't have been more than $50 if a terminal was replaced (which it wasn't) They tightened it and cleaned them. Was told that it'd be $167. I was blown away, and asked for a breakdown of why it was so much. I was told "when you go to a mechanic you're going to pay the mechanic price" I told him my dad did this for me once and with two clicks on his computer the price went to $87. I was warned by him that next time I wouldn't be given that courtesy. What if I didn't ask? What if I was a girl that didn't have a dad that used to do this in 10 min? they probably do this all the time. It's disappointing that they've probably been robbing girls. I can't be the only one. I called the Pflugerville location and asked how much it would cost to change the plugs on a 2005 expedition, the mechanics answer was: "I don't know how much the plugs are but the labor is about $105". I hopped into my car and drove several miles during my lunch break, drove very slow due to traffic and the plugs being bad/missing. just to get there and get a quote for $650!!! Of course no one knew who had answered the phone, always get the name of the person you talk to there. read more

I called, they had no wait on inspections, and were not joking! I drove up, and got my truck right in. From start to finish, the two gentlemen that were at the counter were very friendly, and you knew right away they weren't trying to sell anything you didn't want. Not once did they try to talk me into anything. Of the suggestions the inspector made, they were simple and things that I could do at home. They topped off my coolants because they were low- and all I went in for was an inspection. They say they're family owned, so I appreciate that! My families company is too, so how you treat people is genuinely important and it showed. They take pride in the appearance of their store, and that was a major plus. Car places can get cruddy, but they had nice laminate wood floors, matching black pleather chairs, a nice flat screen, Keurig machine, and a very clean, updated bathroom. Few books and toys (which surprisingly were clean!) for the kiddos, and they made sure to note that my little fella was with me and said if the channel needed to be turned, to just say so. Called around town for mount and balance prices. Thought discount tire would be the cheapest. They wanted $60.00 to do it......yeah right. I took my car here to get an oil change.20 mins after leaving my car breaks down in the middle of 183 during 5pm traffic.. after getting the car towed and checked out the NEW OIL was completely BLACK even tho Precision swears this is normal . Thinking it was the battery or starter I went and bought a new battery $163 and a new starter $220. Was able to get the car running again but now it's making a ticking and rattling sound. Nothing really special I could say about this place. Service was quick and prompt. Sign in, hand over keys, wait in the lobby, use their free slow wifi, read on Kindle and check out. I'd recommend this place over Jiffy Lube any day. I have no issues whatsoever with them thus far (3rd oil change already). Their pricing is a bit disturbing just for a suspension belt change. They want to do the valves and other stuff for a hefty fee of $600+. Almost 1/2 to 2/3 of that is Labor Fee. I suppose it's the same for most of the franchise around here. Lets face it-car repairs suck. They're expensive, time-consuming, and there's usually that worry of getting ripped off. I've been bringing multiple cars here for several years, and though I've always experienced the service being exceptional, it was my most recent experience that drove me to actually write a review. My car's inspection had been long overdue, so I took it in to Jason (the owner) unknowingly, about 7 minutes after they had closed. He suggested that they take a look at my car before I brought it in to make sure that it definitely would pass, which was awesome, and then I thought to check and see what time they had closed so I wouldn't hold them up. He replied smiling, "about ten minutes ago," I apologized laughing and insisted on coming back later, but he insisted that they would take care of it so I didn't have to worry about my inspection any longer. 15 minutes in the shop and I was out the door, with a current inspection, and as a very grateful and happy customer. Front desk attendants have always been very friendly and knowledgeable. Unlike other places they weren't trying to sell me every single thing that they thought I wanted for my vehicle. Only what I needed. I DID take advantage of the VIP service twice now and I have saved a lot of money after using up all my oil changes, transmission fluid changes, 10% off major work. Took my car in for a routine oil change. Thought these guys were super friendly and helpful. It wasn't until I had paid and was driving home that I noticed a huge slashed spot in upper left corner of drivers side window where they had damaged/slashed my window tinting and the tint appeared pulled off. This was right in the spot they normally put the reminder sticker for oil changes so obviously someone was using a razor blade or something sharp to remove old sticker and cut into my window tint. Nothing was ever said to me at time of paying and it was VERY noticeable as wasn't there when brought my car in for the oil change that morning. Someone obviously messed up but to then not be honest about it made it that much worse. Definitely made me never want to take my car back there. read more

I think Chris now knows my husband and I when we walk through the door, because we've been there many times in the last 6 months due to both our cars needing some maintenance and work. I'm originally from the Frozen North, Massachusetts so my car has a rusted bottom due to the salt on the roads from the snow. This has taken a toll on my car and some of its parts. I've had my car looked at from other shops and they gave me a huge list of things that needed to get done. Including being told my bottom will likely drop =\ Precision on the other hand, did have recommendations but it wasn't this huge long list, it was more realistic and some suggestions on maintenance. Over a number of visits, I've had an oil leak repaired, tires aligned, new tires, something broke during this process from the rust (they warned me about) got that fixed, some tire part thing shaved down, oil changes and I think that's pretty much everything on my car. The guys gave me two options on something that needed to get fixed, one which was a temporary solution and another a fill fix but cost more. The fact that this place actually gave me the options were nice instead of saying, you need to spend 1200$ today on this 1 thing. My husband has had basic maintenance on his and inspection. Don't they always tell you to replace them and it costs like $200 or something?
