We just finished a major home remodel and needed home accessories to finish off our design. We've purchased many items from Lamps Plus to add to our home decor. They always have a great selection of quality items. We recently purchased a pole lamp and table lamp with the help of Lighting Consultant Mahdee Jaber. He answered our questions and provided useful information regarding the bulb types and wattage to aid in making our decision. Thanks! read more

I was in need of a large ceiling fan and instinctually thought of Lamps Plus in Dublin because of their wide variety of lighting options, in addition to their stellar reputation. The short of it is that I was not disappointed. Employees Rachelle and Glencora simply exceeded my expectations. They even helped locate a hard to find part for a desk lamp that I've owned for many years. Plain and simple...They saved my lamp! Thanks Rachelle , Glencora and Lamps Plus of Dublin for always exceeding my expectations and for your excellent and generous customer service. I'll be back! read more

Their knowledge, patience, and customer service was 5 stars. We bought 2 outdoor fans and 1 indoor fan and I never knew all the info they shared in helping me make a decision. The only reason I gave 4 stars is their price is a little high. But I bought them anyway because of the service. read more

As a designer, I buy several light fixtures for the homes that I work on. I have been to the Pleasant Hill store and the Dublin store (my favorite). It all comes down to service! Mahdee Jaber is the nicest and most helpful sales associate that I have worked with and he makes the entire experience of looking at lights to find the right one so much more enjoyable that it does not seem like work. I buy a lot for my projects and can truly say that the service received matters more than anything else in the process. read more

I am not sure as to why this Lamps Plus location gets such low ratings, as I have been lucky I guess. We recently purchased a new home and had to have a lot of work done to it (still in progress) and one of the things we needed to replace or update were light fixtures (all bathrooms) and the dining room chandelier. We came in more than once and found lighting for the bathrooms that was on clearance and though they only had one available in the store, they were happy to order the other 3 for us. As for the chandelier, well this is where my husband and I are learning more about compromise. While our tastes match in many ways, when it comes to furnishings and lighting, we both have to bend a little and this was the case with the chandelier. I bent-and since it has yet to be hung, we will see if his vision works or if he will "see the light" that mine would have been better :). Anyway, I digress about Lamps Plus. The customer service was great each time we came in and they helped me load everything in the car when I returned to pick up my order. read more

I love the "sales" that happen here. True story. I had my eye on a chandelier in 2008. Mid 2008, the chandelier goes "on sale." Magically, the price jumped by $100 and was "on sale" for the regular price. This happened a few more times before I took advantage of AMEX's coupon to this place. The service is hit&miss. You have to find someone to help you. read more

Sure, it was bright and shiney.....just not helpful. If bright and shiney counts: one star We knew what we needed, explained it clearly and the guy just said..."don't know" and walked away--excuse me?! I actually got pissed and went and walked in front of him so he had to stop walking away from me. He looked at me and I said--"I am under the impression you work here" and raised my eyebrows at him (hubby was chuckling in the background). "Well, yes" he says..."but I don't know if we have what you need." DUH (I say ONLY in my head). "OK ...but can you look on your computer or ask your coworkers?" I say (in my polite indoor voice). As he walked away again, my hubby caught my eye and we just left. Geeze. They say businesses want money but you could have fooled me at this location and store. read more

I just shake my head when I think about Lamps Plus! I went to spend some serious money here, especially because they had their "January Special!" I was stunned by the prices! There were a few lamps with a decent price but mostly very expensive. Worst yet, I got no customer service (Not a "hello!" or "How may I help you?") but I did find an employee shadowing me in the store! I knew right then and there that they did not want my business! I dropped serious coin at another store! read more

Customer service here is exceptional! Mary Sakhizada was great in helping us find exactly what we were looking for. Very patient and knowledgeable about the products. Walked out with the most beautiful addition to my house. Definitely recommend this location and Mary if you're looking to add a beautiful touch to your house. read more

The store is big and you will see plenty of things for sale, but if you are there just for that you might as well go online. I was so not impressed with the service. A lamp I bought at Lamps Plus online recently broke. I can't be sure if it was the lamp or what so I took the thing in. I had to wait around a bit before anyone would talk to me and the "specialist" ended up being no help at all and basically wasted my time. They won't even test the light bulb or do anything to help me figure out if the lamp needs to be fixed. They don't fix anything either, so if you buy anything there and it breaks, you are going to be sent elsewhere to get it repaired. I ended up going to San Ramon Lighting, where they immediately helped me and let me know that the bulb is in working order but the lamp probably has a broken transformer. read more

I purchased 4 lamps and 3 mirrors to be shipped to my home. One of the mirror boxes arrived empty ( it had been opened and resealed). Lamps plus was no help in getting this resolved. They said it weighed 23 lbs on the shipping label-- tough luck. If yo are going to do business with then, suggest you don,t have items shipped. I will not ever buy from them agin Robert Stewart read more

Rude and unhelpful service at a premium price. Take your business elsewhere. Put a ceiling fan aside for me, my error - I didn't come to get it within 24 hours. (They didn't mention a 24 hr policy). When I arrived the next day to pick it up - we sold it. No offer of help, no apology, not even "can we help you find something similar that we have in stock". Stony faced looking at me. Nice customer service guys! read more

Mary Sakhizada is excellent! Thanks Mary at Lamps Plus in Dublin for all the help. We shopped for chandeliers and Mary was always very patient and knowledgeable helped us find the right piece. read more

While I love the stores products I am extremely disappointed with their customer service. This is the Dublin location. Lamps Plus stores tend to have higher pricing and I don't mind that for quality, but when something goes wrong there is an invisible manager. I have been told that a manager will call me and have called them daily and still no call from the manager. This is day 4 now. We are working on overcharged items. We have been told twice they will run the refund and email the credit invoice and still today nothing. I will update when this is resolved. Update, so my husband had to go back in the store today and guess what there is a manager. They processed the credit but never returned our calls or email us so we knew it went through. The credit was processed yesterday and the needless drive to the store could have been easily prevented if they called and checked the email address they sent it to and this so called manager did not even apologize at all for the inconvenience. Buyer beware! read more

We spent a fortune here on some beautiful crystal Shonbek chandeliers and a number of ceiling fans. Did it yield excellent or even good customer service? NO. I called the store to get a price quote on a replacement part. Jane took the phone call and said she was with another customer and would call me back. She did call me back, a month LATER. Apparently she went ahead and ordered the part, and called to tell me the part was ready to be picked up. When she never called back to begin with (a month ago), I assumed she had lost/ignored my phone call. So in the meantime I ordered the part directly from the manufacturer. Nice selection, lousy service. read more

Night & Day Difference! Go see Jodi period! I literally did the same transaction that I did back January as I love the lamp I bought but January's service was awful. Well this time wow - Jodi is terrific. I was online and saw the lamp was on sale again so I did the online stock check where Jodi immediately called me. She was so great at the get go. I asked her to hold the lamp for me as I'd pick it up after work today. I walk into the store and she's at the desk. She doesn't know who I am but immediately sees me and asks if I need help. For some reason, I just felt like that was Jodi. So I say "Are you Jodi? She says yes and I say its me Denise". She was very welcoming and my lamp was there waiting for me. And than she did something for me that I had no idea they had - she asked me if I'm a member. I'm like ?? Well she immediately helped make me a rewards member as that gave me an extended warranty. Than she had one of their staff people help me bring the floor lamp to my car! She even offered saying there's no obligation that she'd watch for lamps for me if I'm interested as she heard how I was looking out for the lamp I was buying to be on sale again. Ok what a difference from my January visit. Jodi gave me such incredible customer service. That's why I'm changing my review to 5 starts b/c of Jodi. If you shop with Jodi you will get 5 star service. __________________________________________________________________ 1/21/2014 Review: Shopping should be fun, but I was going easy on this one. I found the floor lamp online & requested it to online to be held for me at the store. Easy transaction it was but it just didn't inspire me at the store to want to shop there more. We wandered around for other ideas - no one offered to help or ask us if we wanted any. Waited at the cashier's desk to make our purchase that was put on hold - they couldn't find it and we had to look online again for it to find the item #. Tried to chat with the salesman on ceiling fans and he didn't seem interested to want to advise so we move on to ending the sale. We purchase and I'm standing there-"Where's my lamp?" He says its over there - pointing way over to the side. Well I'm glad I brought my husband as at least he helped me get that oversized floor lamp box up and in the car. That shopping area is pretty deserted so parking is easy, but don't expect much in customer service. Ours was a simple in and out job - I wouldn't want to do anything complicated with them. read more

We purchased 2 items and had a wonderful experience. The sales girl, Catherine, advised us on lamps, lampshades, and light bulbs. She was very knowledgeable on all things related to our purchase. We highly recommend this store for all decorating and lighting projects. read more

I have been making small purchases for years. I just had another positive experience and thought I should finally get on Yelp. I used to try and save a few dollars elsewhere, but whenever there was a problem I ended up losing the savings and more. LP customer service -- for me and even for some customers I observed being a "pain" -- is always tops! Plus, they have ALL kinds of lighting here... not just a section of a store. In short, they have all the stuff, and their people know their stuff! Tip: Staff always takes time to answer your questions. But they are always busier on the weekend. So, I'm sure they and the other customers would appreciate doing the half-hour consultations during the week. read more

I walked into Lamps Plus in Dublin Ca and Rachelle approached me asking how she could help me. I told her I was looking for a ceiling light. She asked me a few questions about what i liked. She immediately took me to an area where I loved all the lamps. I bought a lamp and dimmer.Rachelle had them shipped to my home. I loved the fact that she listened to me and solved my lighting problem. I highly recommend meeting with her. read more

I had ordered a set of lamps online but when I got them they were not the look I wanted . So I went to the Lamp Plus location in Dublin. From the moment we walked in Catherine greeted us with a smile handled our return professionally and went above and beyond in helping us find new lamps. She was professional patient and friendly. Seek her out if you need help. read more

Lots of selection, but it's all clumped together and hard to navigate. A lot of the fixtures looked like they were crooked, or some of the bulbs didn't work, so it didn't show them at their best. We were asked once if we needed help. Pricing needs to be checked to make sure you really are getting the best deal. read more

I've purchased three ceiling fans from Lamps +. Kind of a weird place, but decent prices, okay selection...Ok, I guess.

This is a review specially for the sales rep Aaron Joseph. I bought 2 chandeliers from this store, one of which had to be special ordered. Before I went in, I had called the store couple of times with questions and Aaron answered both times with precise information. I then printed some coupons from the lampsplus website and went to the store. Unfortunately the coupon excluded that particular brand, but Aaron still managed to give me the same discount on the total order. Overall I had a very pleasant experience with Aaron and would recommend his service to anyone visiting this store. read more

My mom only speaks Spanish. She went to this store on her own. She looked around saw a few things she liked. She had to go find the sales person as no one came to assist her. The gal that works here was awesome and very helpful to my mother. Of course my mother decides she doesn't want most of what she purchased. She had paid by check. When returning the items we were told she'd have to wait 10 days for Corp to write her a check for her refund or she could get store credit. Old school but efficient. Thank goodness I found the perfect lamp for my bath. The lamp was purchased online & returned to the store. Org $250 got it for $50! Plus they has a special I cant remember what that was. read more

Rachelle went above and beyond trying to help me resolve a problem with pendant lights I was hanging. She was amazing!

Five stars for our fan-tactic find and Jodi's help! She was very passionate, knowledgable, and efficient. She knew what she was talking about, I almost wanted her to go to my house and get up on the ladder and install me fan for me! She worked quickly and we were in and out faster than you could say "which fan do you like?" We ordered the perfect one, got all the little required details with it. No one helped us like Jodi! We had been looking for the right fan for 3 weeks, and now I know we would have bought the wrong thing without her help! Worth the drive, we came from San Leandro. Update: another great experience trying to find lighting for our living room! Mark Rogers helped us-great ideas, honest, and ultimately helped us find a solution! Thanks Mark! read more

Products made in China so huge markup. I bought well over $2,000 in merchandise. Their paperwork was totally messed up. The day we bought only a couple of our items in stock so they ordered the rest. Took over a month and 4 trips to get our final lamp. Each time I came back had to re explain and they were totally confused by their own paperwork and delivery system. Even manager promised would fed ex the final lamp bit dropped the ball and did not even remember. Broken promises. They acted like I was a big inconvenience for them and trying to get over on them! Jodi tried to piece it back together. Very poor experience. read more

I've been using this lamps plus for several years as 1 of my main lamps suppliers. Although their list prices are a little high, (hence only 4 star) the quality of products have never let me (or my clients) down. They have a very large in store selection and catalogs galore. As a General Contractor it is imperative that we install products that come in on time and that work with the 1st turn of the switch. Thank you once again and I look forward to continuing referring my clients and purchasing our orders through Dublin Lamps Plus. read more

I'm so happy I found this place! Mary was such great help! Favorite place for light fixtures. Sales rep John helps me a lot and I feel like I have my own personal shopper. Great person to deal with if you are there. I have spent a lot at Lamps plus so I feel I have earned it. Lots of selection and fixtures. If you are looking for cheap then you are an ass for rating them harshly for price. Moderate prices and honestly superb service. I recommend Lamps plus without a hiccup and just ask for John. read more

We came in today to purchase lighting for two bathrooms, three hall areas, dining room, three bedrooms plus three ceiling fans. We wondered around on our own and identified most of these items. The remaining items required additional information, so we found a sales person Kathy to help us. And it all went downhill from there. First, she seemed to be bothered by the fact that we asked to get some specs looked up. Then she misquoted the price, and got angry about having to make a correction. Since we needed multiples of several items we were I retested in, stock had to be checked. At that point Kathy's rudeness escalated to such a level that we stopped the transaction and left the store. Really unfortunate because the store had a great selection of quality items. Needless to say, we are not coming back. read more

This review is for Aaron. After having a horrible experience at Lamps Plus in Pleasant Hill I came to this branch. Aaron is a lighting genius! He figured out what no other store could. Aaron took so much time with me even after closing time on a Friday to figure out what light fan would fit my medallion I had caulked to a wall. I came back on Sunday and again Aaron was very helpful taking the time to track down my order. If this guy hasn't received a raise the manager of this store should give him one! Customer service and sales is so crucial for a store and most stores are lacking good help. Five stars for Aaron!!! read more

Great first experience with Lamps Plus because of manager in training, Mike Goodrick. He responded the very next day with a call about my online inquiries. Walking into Lamp plus, I wasn't really sure what I wanted. Sales person Mary approached my husband and I, we explained what our idea and showed us several different ones. I went into Lamps Plus on Saturday to get a new remote for a fan that I had bought about 6 months ago. We have bought a lot of lighting over the last couple of years and are in there system. We had a long wait before being waited on but since they were busy I was OK with that. I was waited on by a salesperson named Zhorgano. She had trouble finding us in the computer initially and then finally found us. It was a major deal and finally had the manager who we never saw looking for the proper remote information. After quite a long time she asked us to sit down and explained that they were doing us a favor by looking up the information. That is very poor customer service in my opinion. I left the store at that point not very happy and will most likely never buy from them again. read more
