Great communication, came out and installed traps. They caught two gophers in the first week. I would definitely use their service again.

Communication with the owner of the company is difficult. After not hearing anything for about 3 weeks, a technical just showed up unannounced, with no prior contact. We happened to be just getting home so he was able to set traps (and he seemed very competent and was nice). But follow-up communication with the owner was again difficult---no one showed today up during the 4-hour window indicated (he would not specify a narrower window, even as late as this morning). He rescheduled another 4-hour window today, but that does not work for us. We would not have to have been home for the technican, but wanted to be so we could see what is caught and learn more about out situation. We have canceled our service. I am a very happy customer. I got lucky and had both a mole and a gopher making quick work of my front and backyard. I tried some amazon traps and sonar spear thingys, and then got smart and called Dave the Lamorinda Gopher Guy. He was the most reasonably priced and also the most realistic service provider I could find. He didn't make me commit to a 6-month subscription model package but charged me per critter! Just what I wanted and needed. His tech (Grant) killed the mole within 4 days! And the gopher is now dead 3 weeks from first appointment. Got a gopher problem? Call these guys first! Lamorinda Gopher was great and resolved our gopher problem, at least for now. From call to resolution, I estimated about 6 weeks. They ended up catching two gophers. They came out a couple of days after I called. I took some pictures of the areas of gopher activity, and described the location. They came out and set up a few traps in those locations. The first set of traps didn't catch anything, so they moved the traps to another location further up the hill. That seem to work and they quickly caught 2 gophers within a couple of weeks. We'll keep an eye out for future activity as new gophers may move in. Overall, Lamorinda Gopher was very reasonably priced. They were responsive and got results quickly. I highly recommend them for anyone dealing with gophers, moles and voles in their yard. I hope gophers don't return, but if they do, I know who to call first! read more

We tried two different companies to get rid of our gophers. One claimed to have caught one but the tunnels continued to increase. The second one was rude and did not wear a mask, so we terminated them after the first service. Then we discovered David. Figured we had nothing to loose! David set the traps, and checked on them daily. When he didn't catch the gopher, he relocated and added more traps. Soon, he caught the big fat gopher, and we have had no issues since then. Delivers as promised! I had a critter in my front lawn that dug up several unsightly burrows. I found Dave online and had a text exchange with him. He diagnosed the problem as a mole and offered to set traps for his standard fee. After his tech set up the traps, they caught the mole within a week and retrieved their equipment. Fortunately I haven't had a problem since then. Dave was especially courteous over text message and was willing to share his expertise and the equipment he uses. We had previously used a larger company who charged a monthly fee to set traps that were only checked twice a month. It took almost two months to trap one gopher. Ultimately we ended up breaking that contract and canceled the service due the inefficiency of their methods. A few months later, I discovered new gopher mounds in our front yard and contacted David. He came out the next morning, analyzed the mounds, and with his extensive knowledge about gopher behavior strategically placed the trap. Later that afternoon, he returned to check the trap and out found our culprit. You can't get more efficient than this. He followed up for a few days to make sure there were no other gophers. Here is what I have to say: 1. Day 1--called the owner Dave, he explained how he did his work and went over a very simple fee schedule, we set up a next day appt. no 4hr waiting time range 2. Day 2, Dave gave me ETA updates and showed up on time as we agreed. He reviewed my gopher and mole issue and explained how the rodents behave, what he was going to do, and how the traps work. He set 6 traps and left. 3. Day 3 & 4- Dave called and asked if I noticed any trap activity-- none, he said he would come back over and move traps if needed. 5. Day 5-- morning trap triggered victory achieved. Dave came over about an hour later and took care of cleanup. Dave is great, he is a pro and most of all he does what he says he is going to do--hard to find in most businesses. I had a very serious gopher, and apparently a small moce problem on an acre of land in Orinda next to open space. Mr. Gopher's approach is based in understanding of the animals behavior, it is simple and highly effective. I have hired three other gopher removal services all of which were expensive and in effective. They made a major impact in a matter of weeks, and they keep newcomers in check. This company is one I would use again in a second. They follow up and are effective. I have been battling a gopher or more for 5 months. Checked everything you can on You Tube. Bought those crazy noise sticks that don't work. I ran up the flag and called based on Yelp reviews. Finally got our gopher minutes after the traps were reset and put back into the tunnels after finding a new one (I didn't think there was any dirt left under the surface to make a new one as there were at least 6 tunnels already made). I was staining a wood chair when I heard "click" nearby and texted it in. That was it. Gopher tried to get around existing traps and made a new line. LG moved the trap into the tunnel. It didn't take more than 1/2 hour after the trap was set into the new tunnel. No more plants mysteriously falling over.
