I had done a lot of research about what nail salon to pick from since my last one became unreliable. I found this one and decided to give it a shot. The pedicure I got was great no complaints but the gel manicure I got was terrible. My nail technician didn't properly pushback my cuticles and they didn't ask what nail shape I wanted. They didn't even shape my nails they filed them and they were entirely jagged so when I came home, I filed them myself and tried to shape them. It's been four days and a $40 + tip gel manicure already looks a week and a half old since they didn't push my cuticles back and paint down. The technician ignored me the entire time and was preoccupied enough that even though I requested the same color as my pedicure, my manicure is a different one. I'm so incredibly disappointed that I won't bother returning here. read more

This was my second time there. I'm stage 5 kidney failure. That makes your nails split and be brittle. I was having such a hard time with them. They were splitting and bleeding almost every day. I asked my doctor first if it was ok. He said yes! It has been so nice not being in constant pain from my nails getting tore up. Before I had to cut them really short hoping that might help a little. The place is really clean and they all seem really nice. They offer you a drink when you come in. That was nice. I'm not used to nail salons but I am really happy I found this one. Wonderful experience and outstanding customer service! Wanted to make my nails pretty for a new ring my BF got me. I tried to go with beautiful almond shape (knowing it's super long for me). The nails were gorgeous, however I was challenged doing daily tasks... I returned and they trimmed and filed down for free! I will absolutely be returning! read more

Whoever made the comment that this was the best nail place in Florence must haven't been to many. I was very upset with my service. I got a full set. The very next day I noticed the acrylic was kind of far away from my cuticles so I already knew I would have more problems. The acrylic was really thin. I asked about it it & she explained it was a higher end of product. I had 3 nails lifting in my first week & she charged me $60 for a full set. I will not be returning. I only gave 2 stars because I didn't have a wait & I was a walk in. read more

Unfortunately was not impressed even though a friend recommended them. First, my fault for not asking prices ahead, but they are more expensive than anywhere I have been. A fill/gel is normally 40 max, theirs, 45. She did an ok job, but never cleaned underneath my nails, applied lotion or anything to set them apart especially for the higher price. Pedicure was ok as well. I did appreciate it that she switched the color once she started as it was too bright. I was not expecting to pay an additional 20 for gel, normally elsewhere it is 10. For the total price, I felt like I could of received more time in the chair and more detail to my feet. I still have quite a bit of dry skin and was unimpressed. read more

This was my first visit to La Mer and it will be my last. I came in for a basic pedicure and things started out fine-I was seated right away and asked if I wanted a water or soda. Then the pedicurist came over. He talked nonstop about nonsense and was so impressed with his "entertainment " of the clients that he did not pay attention to what he was doing and managed to rip off part of the mail on my big toe-quite painfully, I might add. He made some lame excuse that there was a little corner on that mail that had to be removed. (There was not.) I am concerned about developing an ingrown toenail at this point. He over-trimmed my cuticles, down to the flesh, on several other toes. Several nails were trimmed unevenly, and the polish was sloppy. One of the other technicians had to come and attempt some repair work-while attempting to make excuses for the substandard job. I would have complained and made a bigger issue of it, but I was brought as a treat by a friend and I didn't want her to feel bad. Want a pedi? Don't come to La Mer!!! read more
