This place has 0 customer service skills. They are arrogant and rude. After my pedicure I pulled out my card to pay and the women looked into My purse, saw I had cash in there, and refused to Take my card told me if I had cash to pay with cash, I had enough cash to pay but that left me no cash to tip the man who did my nails and I tried to explain I was going to tip on cash but if I paid in cash I couldn't tip anything. I just moved to Independence recently and decided to check out my local nail salon. I was so impressed with the service I got here! It was fast, clean and friendly and the prices are very fair. When I asked for advice on what gel color to go with, my technician Don helped me by showing me the exact perfect color for my skin. I got soooo many compliments that week on my nails! I'll be coming back to this salon as long as I live in Independence. Maybe even after I move! It's that good! read more

I'm giving the benefit of the doubt because I'd like to think I'm a nice person but there are so many red flags! To begin I walked in for a pedicure and was brought back immediately after I picked out the polish color All of the polish needs replaced, like over half of the bottles looked empty or crusty just gross (I'll bring my own next time) then as I sit in the chair I noticed that that bowl didn't have the protective bag that most salons use but I was like no big deal I'm sure they bleach them. So I ignore it and she goes in getting all the dead skin which I love and gets most of the dead skin off the bottom of my feet. Now for the negative. Sit back and relax because there's a list! So let's go back to the bowl, if they do bleach it they miss spots or just don't clean it properly. The tools they used LOOKED clean and they did have the blue juice that they were dipped in which was great BUT after using them on my feet she threw them in there with a piece of my dead skin still attached ummm ok she still has to clean it and there is another thing of blue juice next to the sink so hopefully...anyways, as I'm sitting there the massage that comes with it was half assed and the pedi sponge should of been new from the package but it was used, like by at least 20-30 ppl. The sugar scrub was nice and the massage with that was nice but I felt so awkward. So she paints my nails and I go sit under the lamps they dry and I pay and leave and go home where I immediately wash my feet and legs and they're pretty soft so that's a plus but my toes have been hurting since I left the salon and as I write this they are swollen... moral of the situation would be to bring your own tools and nail polish. Wow! Best nail salon I have ever been too! Staff were super friendly and did a great job with our pedicures! We went towards the end of the day and Lily and Poye gladly gave us pedicures. Nice conversation too my mother and I really enjoyed the pampering and the laughs! Prices are reasonable and they have a nice variety. read more

Horrible experience this morning. First let me say, this is the first negative review I have ever left on a business. I am not a picky person. I arrive at 10:20 am. Was told it would be 30 min. They called me back an hour later to soak of the sns I had on my nails that needed taken off. The lady was working on someone else and had me soak in acetone for 40 minutes. Then started on my manicure. At this point I had been there almost 2 hours. She was not getting anything accomplished with the manicure. It was so bad I even asked her if she wanted me to try to get the dead skin off. She then went back over the nails she had already done and still nothing accomplished. There were several other employees over hearing and not one offered to help or ask what the problem was. I knew I didn't want to waste my money so I ended up just leaving and wasted over two hours of my morning. I wish I could post pictures to show how bad it was. read more

my favorite nail salon!! don is my favorite nail tech there! he knows me by name and is always very kind and makes good conversation. and my nails always look amazing and i never have any complaints! i have been going here for about almost 2 years now and i won't go anywhere else! the only downside is sometimes the wait can be a little lengthy but the amazing quality of the nails is worth the wait! there is a large color selection for both gel and regular polish!! the prices are very reasonable and much better than most salons! come here!!! read more

This organization is rude, bias toward people of color. I sat waiting for 45 minutes for a gel fill. In the meantime a technician sat in the back playing on her cell phone.(everyone else was busy) As soon as someone walked in and requesting the same service I was there for a gel fill. She comes forward and asked " do you mind if I take her?" I replied " do I have a choice" I don't care if that person had an appointment or not. I should have been next. They will not get my business. I give them a negative zero stars in customer service, professionalism & ethics. And everyone knows the nail salon are majority walk in business. I walked out! New to the area and this salon is right by my house so I tried it out. The place is in the expensive side but the massage chairs are nice & they gave my feet a nice rub, so I guess it's worth the money. Cash or check only! Don't go here unless you have a few hours to kill, even if they tell you the wait is only a half hour, you will wait a VERY long time! I have also had them tell me they are too busy to do something. (I wanted a silver line painted under my tips) I have also been told they were too busy to do something when all the snobby Simon Kenton girls are there bc there is a big dance the coming weekend. I get my nails done every two weeks, these girls may be in a few times a year. I also feel hurried through and that I am a bother to the nail tech. From now on I will drive past Nice Nails and go to the nail place on Mt. Zion next to Buffalo Bobs. I have never waited a long time and the staff is very nice and polite. The prices are the same and they do a GREAT job. Sorry Nice Nails but you lost a lot of money from me alone in the long run!! read more
