The shop is up to date on current trends. You are not required to have an appointment but I often call ahead to check on wait time. I recommend calling ahead, then you are disappointed during busy times. Many customers have favorite nail techs. I typically don't schedule an appointment and have always been happy with my nail techs when I do "walk-in" service, they all talented. The techs are soft spoken, kind, and very courteous. They are talented, always trying to do their very best. The owners, Brandon annd Jamila, are super friendly, they work hard at knowing their customers, learning customer names and remembering personal details. They are delightful to be around. As other reviews…read morementioned, the studio was not updated and modern, but they seemed clean and I was not concerned about the cleanliness at any point. The nail tech was not super talkative to me, but I came straight from work and personally enjoy a quiet nail session where I can just relax. She also showed me a few different variations of the dip color I picked which I thought was super helpful (like painted it on a fake nail, light cured and everything.) My dip nails were $45 and they have held up nice. Will be back.

They play good calming music and I love the vibe. I hadn't worked with anyone yet so I asked for whoever and he did a really good job! They had a HUGE selection of polish colors. The whole process took about an hour including sitting under the dryer and waiting, which is great! I think overall he did a good job and my nails don't have any obvious mistake. The not so good: I was not greeted when I came in at all. I had to find my way to the sign-in sheet and just sit. There wasn't many pleasantries--no conversation or small talk. They chatted a lot and were super friendly with the "regulars" but even when I tried to chat it wasn't well received. The worst part was that he was pretty rough with my hands and fingers. I guess he was trying to go quickly but it was even painful at times. I understand that some maneuverability is required but in all my years getting manicures I've never experienced anything like this. It was a lot of twisting my joints to get fingernails and better angles and weird wrist twisting to get to my thumbs. i have hypermobilty in my joints and even I felt discomfort. Another reviewer mentioned the roughness as well so maybe this is just something when they're in a rush.
