Before I start I'd like to say the girl I've seen the last few times(Megan) has always done a great job. Unfortunately today she was out and I was going to need to reschedule but another stylist I'd seen once before had an opening so I booked with her(Blair) for a haircut today. To say this is the worst haircut I've had in my life would be an understatement. And I'm surprised it's as bad as it is, because the other time I've seen her she did fine and a friend also sees her, granted her cuts she gets are very simple. I showed reference photos beforehand and we also talked a bit about the cut and I even made a correction to the undercut she did(which is the one thing that doesn't look butchered). So I'm not even sure how the cut I have came out of what I showed her and we talked about. Now admittedly when I left I did not complain because I wanted to atleast go home and shower out the 5lbs of hairspray so I could attempt to re-style it differently and give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was just the style I didn't like, despite the cut itself being much shorter than discussed. I'm not sure if she forgot that hair shrinks a bit once dried and then after making the initial chop on my wet hair tried to correct things, but it's like she just kept going shorter and shorter and taking more off. I have under sections of hair that are cut longer than the top sections above it so it literally looks like the section above is a shelf on the section below it. Areas look like Edward scissorhands went to it. What was a very cute and modern pixie, came out more like a 90's great clips Karen cut. Now for me, I'm postpartum and I'm sure some of my hormones are playing a role in just how upset I am(I'm literally crying in my bathroom because even re-styling it, it looks horrid). But the fact I'm already still working on liking my body again after having a baby, and then I go to the salon to get a cut I've had before and loved and walked away feeling like I look worse than ever and looking NOTHING like the cut I wanted, is VERY disappointing. I'm not even sure how long it will take to grow out enough to be semi-cute, I'm honestly feeling like looking up a decent wig to get me through, but it's made worse by the fact that it can't even really be fixed because it's already so much SHORTER than planned and in some areas too short to even style. So trying to fix it would just leave me with even LESS hair. I don't even like leaving this review because all-in-all I've had good experiences here. A GREAT spa experience just yesterday. And my review really isn't even on the salon itself but the stylist I had today. Just very very disappointed and upset with what I walked away with today, for not a small amount of money either. The salon itself is nice, but personally I would not recommend Blair for a short cut. Attaching the picture I showed her as insp, and the cut I walked away with.

Back story, I moved back to KY a little over a year ago. I found a place Cloud 9, didn't know much about it but decided to give it a try. Before I moved, I lived in OH and used Mitchell's salon (never had an issue and they do excellent work). My stylist did great work, so good that I brought my grandkids and my husband started stopping cutting his own hair or going somewhere who didn't understand his cut style. So, when my daughter told me she was getting married I thought the ideal gift would be a bridal updo and makeup. Since I had frequented Cloud 9 for over a year, I booked her an appointment. It was part of her wedding present from myself and her stepfather. She gave her stylist a picture of what she wanted. Needless to say, the stylist didn't follow the picture she showed her. Not sure where she (the stylist) got her inspiration, but it was not anywhere near the picture she was shown. I have absolutely no idea where she thought these 2 were on the same planet. Pics are below. You tell me what you think. When my daughter got back to my house to finish getting ready, I was appalled at what I saw. Not only was it not even close to the picture, but she couldn't even move her head. We had to take everything out and start again. Fast forward to Monday. I called to speak to a manager. I was informed the manager was off and left a message. I called back the next day and was informed the manager was with clients. After 5 days the manager called and told me he could not speak with me because the client wasn't a minor and could only speak with the client (they call customers clients). I called my daughter to let her know she needed to contact them on their incorrect hairstyle. She called and left a message, said manager called her back. Not only was he rude he actually tried to push the blame back on her. Stating" did you tell her this wasn't right, or did you tell her you didn't like it". Seriously...this is her wedding day. Such an impressionable way to handle to handle a situation. Not only did the salon admit to wrong undoing they never even offer an apology. I would have been OK if they would have said "the stylist made a mistake, and we apologize for what happened". Not even close. All I wanted was for the salon to take accountability for their lack of action. A few weeks later my husband had a haircut, and I went along with him to do some fact finding. I stayed silent until the end; I asked the stylists a basic question, who was the manager of the saloon (which I found out were the actual owners). It was at that point I realized the person I spoke with was only an "asst" manager. I asked my husband's stylist (also mine) if they could please pass my information to the actual managers. At that point I was told, if it was anything doing with a prior situation, they had nothing to do with it. Why would someone say that nothing to do with something if they had no prior knowledge. At the end, let's be real Salon 9 made a mistake. No one wanted to take accountability. I tried to reach out to the actual managers "owners" ...no response. If this is how you want to run your establishment, so be it. Be when you ruin a bride's special day, once in a lifetime event, you need to be called out on it. Accept accountability for your actions when they are wrong. When you ruin a bride's wedding day you need to set back and take a long hard look at yourself and really decide if wedding updos are something we really should do. To top it all off, my husband wanted to do something special for me for Christmas. He got a gift card from there for me to get a massage. I told him that was a very nice gesture, but there is absolutely no way I'll ever go back there. I have before and after pictures, but I couldn't get them to upload. I had to click on a star rating...since you have to pick I choose a 1, since there was no zero.

Bad hair cut!
Torres G.

Tried this place today, getting a simple male hair cut. Nice salon but was underwhelmed with the quality of service. Don't remember the name of the girl who cut my hair but I am sure the owner can pull it up in the system using my name. First - she was clearly inexperienced. Second - asked for a square back vs round ... she completely screwed it up!. I noticed she acted nervous but she never said a word and rushed to finish. I am including a picture of the hair line. Hairline is too high up and uneven. Understand mistakes can happen but how about you say something and apologize vs acting like everything was ok? I am not coming back and don't recommend this place.

Bad hair cut - don't recommend this place.

Tried this place today, getting a simple male hair cut. Nice salon but was underwhelmed with the quality service. I was seated on time and frankly don't remember the name of the girl who cut my hair but I am sure the owner can pull it up in the system using my name. First - she was clearly inexperience. Second - asked for a square back vs round ... she completely screwed it up!. I noticed she acted nervous but she never said a word and rushed to end. I am including a picture of the hair line. I look Amish with an uneven line. Don't understand how a hair stylist can error with such a simple task, she used the machine a good 1/2 to 1 full inch above the hair line. Understand mistakes can happen but how about you say something and apologize vs acting like everything was ok? I am not coming back and don't recommend this place.

What my hair ended up looking like- this is as soon as I got home and looked at it for myself

I booked an acne facial with Ashley a little over a week ago where she also shared some suggestions on slightly modifying my skincare routine along with what to avoid eating and upping my water intake. After a month of dealing with horrific acne issues, I'm finally starting to recognize myself again in the mirror and cannot thank Ashley enough for contributing to this success!
