All i can really do is laugh at this restaurant... If i could rate this restaurant a -0 i would and let me tell you why.. first i go to the bar now ive heard some very good things about some lady named destiny and idal from my girl. unfortunately they were not there so i had to take the next best thing and i was fine with that , but the bartender raised his voice at me and specifically told me that he knows i see all these people asking for stuff and to wait ( tone with attitude). it was literally about 2-3 people asking for drinks. instead of staying at the bar i decided to check out the front because my girl told me about some girl named gabriel thats upfront if i wasnt feeling the bar.... i go up to the front and im greeted by some spanish girl she was nice... but i did have issues upfront as well . i asked for a drink and a soda she got me everything i needed but it literally took her about 10 mins to get me my drink, she didnt ID me. although i am old enough i used to work at a restaurant where i always had to ask for id. so that was shocking. moving on to the food.i could tell she was a bit new because she kept going back and forth to the computer and then asking the other waitress.. i had ordered fried crabcakes with sauteed brocoli and a loaded baked potato. there was literally about 2 tables and my food took about 30 mins to come out like WTF! i was way too hungry to even send it back. she wasnt getting me any refills or really checking up on me. this darkskin girl had to come help me get my refills which i appreciated so much i ended up tipping her. i was really hoping maybe the lady gabriel wouldve helped my experience be better or destiny and idal but i just know im not coming back. lost a customer $$$$. i also have to question their hygiene because i saw a mouse trap on the side of the booth when my phone fell after the fact that i was done with my meal. totally disgusted!!!!! The one thing I love about this place, is the fact they have a dinning area as well as the bar area. I typically do the bar area. They have all you can eat crabs specials. They do free pour here with their drinks which is amazing. The fried shrimp platter is my favorite and go to. As well as the crab dip! read more

I'm giving this four stars because of it's down home, dive-y atmosphere and surprisingly good food. It won't end up in Conde Nast or get raves from foodies but if you're looking for a comfortable restaurant that serves good food in generous portions, this is it. The waitresses are friendly and personable and the service is great. It has a bar in the back where a lot of the good ol' boys and occasional good ol' girl hang out. This also means that you can get a drink with your meal. I've been here several times -- sometimes for seafood, sometimes for steak and I've never been disappointed. This place is simply amazing. Get there early or you may be standing. If you want a strong drink for a resonable price this is where you want to go. The food is also great, I recommend the 1Lb burger, the fried shrimp, and anything on the Saturday happy hour menu. The only item they sell that could use some work are the buffalo wings. I would give this place 5 stars but at times they can get very busy. This causes the staff to get behind. This place has a cheers vibe where everyone is a repeat customer usually within the same week lol. Lambert's is hands down my favorite bar and grill I first was introduced by my sister and i walked in and was like OK this will be an experience and boy was it. I was quickly greeted by the bartender Leslie as well as all of the other patrons she asked what i wanted to drink before I could sit down and the drink was there before i blink. The drinks come in plentiful glasses and cup so u get your moneys worth with extra on the side. She gave me a food menu and suggested some things to me when i told her chicken was my favorite she suggested wings I accepted OH MY EXCELLENT WINGS very flavorful nice size with all the dipping sauces needed. that was just the first time there i continued to go back for lunch and dinner then i tried the fried chicken sandwich OH MY it was ENORMOUS and great tasting loved it Lambert's Lump speaks for itself no fillers just crab,crab and more crab then there's hush puppies THERE THE BEST Evert steamed shrimp awesome i have no complaints they even make a damn good half smoke, although they have a larger selection of food these are my favorites only because those are the only things i eat I have hosted several birthday/graduation just because parties there no one ever left unhappy. The owners Steve and Danny are the best have sat down and chatted with them several times when they are in they make it a point to speak and greet everyone individually. Trinity is another bartender mostly works later evenings she's great as well as with all the staff. Jason makes the Traci special wings he is one of the cooks. I been going to Lambert's since 2006 and its my favorite hands down I do have one small complaint to the owners get the stuff for bone-crushers pleaseeeeeeeeee. read more

I have known Danny and Steve for over 25 years. They are great people. In every sense of the word. When they opened this restaurant I couldn't wait to give it a try. And they didn't disappoint. My tummy hurts. I'm not saying it was the food. But I'm not saying it wasn't. That being said...it was good. I ordered the Alaskan snow crab legs dinner with cole slaw and a baked potato. Then I washed it all down with a Corona. 3 hours later I wanted to stick my finger down my throat for some sweet relief. Now it's the following morning and I'm chugging ginger ale at my desk. I was a blue crab virgin. My uncle and his wife live in Lanham and since I've never had blue crabs, they brought me here. It's a local place, not your fancy Perrier water and can't pronounce the dishes place. It's far from elegant but it's friendly and kick back. We ordered the shrimp, hush puppies and a dozen crab. I was taught how to eat these crabs. Lots of work but delicious. Don't come in your nice clothes because it gets messy. Well, I have to say that the food was great but the attitude of one of the the staff was severely lacking. We arrived on a Thursday evening with 10 people at about 7:45. The hostess/waitress did everything she possibly could to avoid seating us. She told us that it would be at least 45 minutes before a table could be ready and that it would take an additional 45 minutes to be served. Mind you, the restaurant was maybe a third full. We persisted and were seated in about 10 minutes. The hostess finally found one of the bartenders to work the dining room and serve us. She was excellent; both friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Nearly all of had the Lambert's Lump. A half pound of lump crab with a light cream sauce and then broiled. It was excellent! We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is definitely kinda "divey." I think that if I visit again, I'll try sitting in the bar. read more

Bad customer service lunch menu is a sham. They offer a shrimp basket but then you go to order and they tell you it's actually popcorn shrimp. and its a extra 7 bucks for some real shrimp!!! I love this hole in the wall, BUT the service has gone completely downhill over the past few years!! Waiting to be acknowledged by a waiter while you watch her congregate and converse with other waiters as you sit! I had to walk up and get my own menu and silverware! Then I still waited for the waitress to come take my order. I went for all you can eat crabs. I didn't eat all that I could because I waited at least 30 minutes between my orders, considering I was started with only 7 crabs! The waitress kept disappearing! Never coming back to check on the table. And when I finally flagged her down, she didn't have any of what was requested when she came the half hour before! I'm all for hiring young people, but they need to know that it's a job and not social hour. My husband and I were in town for tournament and stopped here for lunch. The front restaurant was like a ghost townso we went to ther bar area and it was a nice mixed crowd. They had several sports showing on the myriad of TVs and the staff was very welcoming. I had the crab cake with baked potatoe and broccoli and enjoyed the meal. My husband ordered the fish and cooks fried and sent it back because it was greasy and not flavored well, he got the same order as me and enjoyed it. I got a mixed drink shes it was way too much alcohol (for some that's not a bad thing) however the reason I got a mixed cocktail was to enjoy the tastes as well. The bartender gave me more juice on the side for me to mix in myself. Would have been nice if she took it back and mixed it... she probably would have if I asked, but I didn't bother. Its definitely a local, chill spot...nothing fancy about this place. Of course my main reason for going was the all-u-can-eat crabs...and at first I got frustrated because they weren't bring crabs out fast enough...but after I complained a bit, they started bringing the hot crabs out every few minutes. And for 29.99, you cant beat that. They have many different kinds of food specials all through the week (they have a $1 burger that's really good), so they have something for anybody's tastes. Lambert's is the only local bar in our area. Thank goodness the food is great and pours are generous. This place has some of the best seafood around. They offer great selections, good prices and Saturday bar specials can't be beat. Whenever our relatives and friends come to town they head straight for lambert's and we meet them there. Being the only local bar, they have become popular and very busy. The kitchen works hard but still they can get backed up. It's worth the wait. The mussels come out steaming and just like those I've had in PEI, crab dip is excellent, steamed shrimp on Thursday's can be cooked how you like them, AYCE crabs are huge, Friday visits don't miss the cream of crab soup, BUT the best is the Lambert Lump. Found Lambert's Seafood on Yelp and sounded too good to pass up. Ordered the Oysters Lambert appetizer, roasted oysters with lump crab meat covered with provolone, dusted with bread crumbs and baked. Six beautiful and delicious gems. Also ordered the fried oyster entrée. Don't tell Jayne (gluten!) but I don't slip off the wagon too often. Two sides included, so ordered baked potato and salad bar. Salad bar was small but great, fresh lettuce, three bean salad, potato salad (made fresh), Cole slaw (made fresh), three bean salad (tastes home made but is not), tomatoes diced, cukes sliced thick, cottage cheese, green pepper, red cabbage and varieties of salad dressing. Very good starter. Oysters Lambert just arrived (see photo) with cocktail sauce. Hot, but not too hot. Perfect blend, no one ingredient overpowers the other. More lump grab than expected, not much cheese, perfect! This could have been my entrée. Share these six gems with at least two other people. Fried Oyster just arrived. Perfect crunch outside tender juicy oysters inside. Oysters are small so they cook in time to have outside crunchy. Great meal! read more

I went to Lamberts not too long ago. The moment I walked in, I noticed how dated the restaurant looked. Also, a nine month pregnant me stood for about 10 minutes before I was greeted. As I walked to the counter to place my order, I was bumped hard in the stomach by a waitress who wasn't paying attention to where she was going. This woman did not apologize or say "excuse me". To sum it up: we waited 45 minutes for the food, then they forgot four of our sides (there were four of us), when we got the food, the fried oysters were more batter than anything else, the broccoli was overcooked mush, and they couldn't even split a check for the four of us. Ummmm, so this is an update on my previous review of Lambert. Apparently your experience here depends on who's waiting on you. If you're over at the dine-in side Mary is a true gem but she hasn't been there the last few times I've visited. I'm not sure where she is or if she even still works here but this restaurant is suffering without her. The past few times I've been here the service has been lackluster and the food isn't even the same. Wherever Mary went, the owners need to see about bringing her back. She's the glue that keeps this place together and without her this restaurant sucks. read more
