The pricing was fair, they use green cleaning products (which is great, given my asthma/allergies) and were very responsive and easy to schedule with. They completed the entire job within 3 hours using two truck powered carpet cleaners, which included almost 2000 square feet of carpet and 10 dining chairs. The dining chairs look brand new again, which was amazing - and the carpet is much cleaner (although there were a few permanent stains they were unable to remove - which is not surprising).

I'll start by saying they did a pretty good job cleaning. However, the general interactions that I…read morehad with the manager of the business were less than ideal. I got bids from several cleaning companies on Yelp to do my carpets for a move out. Fast cleaning offered to give me a discount on a move out cleaning if I booked with the carpets, and another discount if the apartment was going to be empty--they specifically said "no furniture inside". I said my apartment would be completely empty with no belongings inside and we settled on the discounted price. They arrived a bit later than the promised time (9am) by about 45-50 minutes. The owner had told me they would be arriving 30 mins late due to a personal issue, which I said ok that's fine I'll meet you at 9:30, so I went there expecting to meet them at 9:30 instead of 9, and they were not there. The owner did not communicate with me at all regarding the further lateness or when they would be there. They showed up just before 10. The cleaners were very friendly and professional. Halfway through the clean I received two pictures from the owner of the inside of my fridge and the stovetop. I will attach those to this review. He told me how dirty they were and said I should have mentioned how filthy my apartment was before I let him give me a discount. So he was telling me that he was surprised by how dirty it was and then suggested that I should not get the discount we agreed upon. I brought up to him that he offered me a discount because I had bundled carpet+move out cleaning and because there was no furniture in the apartment. He hadn't asked me for any pictures to gauge the level of cleanliness in the apartment. He hadn't asked me any specifics about the state of the place. I didn't even know that this was a factor that was important to a cleaner, unless there was something like blood, puke, or a huge carpet stain. I basically told him I hired you guys to clean and now you're mad that the apartment wasn't pristine upon arrival? So it wasn't Spic and span but why would I hire somebody to clean my apartment if it was already clean? If I hire somebody to clean for several hundred dollars, I'm sorry, but I was surprised by his reaction to two things in my home being dirty. He was sort of implying that they would want to charge me more for the extra time spent and I was like I don't really think that's fair considering that was not part of the deal and the rest of the apartment had already been pre cleaned (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning) When they were done everything looked pretty good except that they had not cleaned under the removable element of the stovetop. I had also let the owner know before booking that I would need an official invoice to prove to my landlord that I had gotten a cleaning done. He promised he would send one but did not for several days. I kept asking him to and he kept saying "I'll send it right now" and then did not send it. He did finally send it after several days of asking. I really waffled between 3 and 4 stars because the cleaning was perfectly adequate.

I value 3 hours of my time at more than $20. If he had said from the start "Hey they are running late", I could have gone and done something else. But they were always "Just right around the corner" so I didn't want to leave and miss them. Also, he said the cleaners "Didn't find a parking lot". I didn't realize this is a matching service when I contacted them. I think their business model is…read moreto hire customer service reps from abroad then match you with local small businesses. This is a problem, because: 1. Each time I emailed, a different person answered. Probably 20 emails over 1 week were arranged before I could get a quote and schedule cleaning. Because emails would usually arrive late at night or around 2-4AM, I guessed the emailers were located outside of the US. 2. Phone calls are not effective. Email info could easily have been conveyed in a 5-minute phone call, but when I called, the representative didn't know anything about scheduling. 3. A third-party cleaner comes to your house. This means there isn't consistency in quality. The cleaners complained that there was too much work and that it would take a 2-person team 4 hours to do the work (clean 1.5 bathrooms, put about less than 10 dishes in the dishwasher). One worker did dishes only during this time (at $40/hr, that's about $4/dish). The other cleaned the bathrooms. And of course they finished in less than 1 hour. 4. Communication with the third-party cleaner was poor. After all the time I spent emailing about what would be included, none of the details they asked about were conveyed. This was part of the time I paid for, because 1 worker called their supervisor to try to get out of doing the work.
