With a huge king blanket, sheets, lots of clothes and towels each week it takes about 2 to 2.5 hours there of washing, drying and folding as opposed to....,probably 8 to 9 hours of being stuck at home over the weekend waiting on the one washer and dryer to finish. Not only that, but most of the time we're in a drought situation and with a well, we have to be more conservative with water use. It has now been over two years that I've been going there. Depending on which day I'm there I can always count on seeing the same really sweet and helpful people. It's easy to go in, load the card given to you with $ and start washing. Love the oversized washers and dryers available too.

When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!

A guy came up to my car and ask to sell me a clock so he could play the machines. The washers are caked with soap and softener like they have never been cleaned. They lost the shorts and have been giving me the runaround for over a month. They keep saying they're checking at the plant or checking at the seamstress location, etc., etc. but then they never find them and never make good on it. I spoke to the manager today (Kevin) and he was incredibly rude and implied that I am lying about the shorts being Ralph Lauren and that he's not paying me for the shorts. He said he'd look around some more "when he gets around to it." Just awful treatment of a customer who has been using his business for years. Horrible place. I am reporting them to Lakeway Police Dept tomorrow for theft. Do not patronize this business. They are perhaps the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Took a pair of jeans needed the belt loop mended and a small hole in a men's lululemon shirt. Had…read moreto send the jeans back for a second round and they still couldn't get it right. My intuition said to not let them do the shirt and second guessed myself. As you can see in the photos the stitching is terrible on the jeans and a heavy patch was sewn on the shirt. This is a training issue. Do NOT allow them to mend anything for you. I have seen good work and this is not it. Shame on management and the ownership for not taking better care of their staff who are trying to service customers. When leadership is off the whole system is as well. I'm sure whoever is doing their seeing would welcome better skill. So needless to say I refused to pay for the garments and am disputing the original charge on my card for the jeans. They can deal with the credit card company on that one. Again, shame on management for not doing a better job as leaders.

It is a bit expensive to do leather jacket cleaning, but for the experience and process, I would say it was totally worth it. They texted me to let me know when they would arrive to pick up and to drop off. They gave me a clear time approximation and even beat it (they estimated 6-8 weeks but I believe it only took about 2-3?). My jackets came back wrapped really nicely, and the delivery driver took proper care to deliver at my door. In fact, I wasn't home and she asked how I would like my jackets to be dropped off. The thoughtfulness and consideration Ian's provides can't be beat. I also appreciate that they have an app so you can easily plan your pick-ups and drop-offs. If I have any articles of clothing that will need dry cleaning in the future, Ian's will be top of mind.
