I reached out ten days ago and I still have not heard anything back. Not only they overcharged me due to their inadequate service, but they also did not give me the discount they had promised due to not being able to hold up their end of the contract by switching tritoons last minute and giving me an old unsafe one. Violation of laws: Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act (Texas Business & Commerce Code § 17.46): Misrepresentation of the tritoon's capabilities, forcing me to sign for a boat I never received, false promise of a discount, and improper billing. * Texas Parks & Wildlife Code § 31.111: Failure to disclose operational characteristics (speed limits, disabled switch, inoperable speedometer, nonfunctional lights). * Texas Parks & Wildlife Code § 31.064: Operating without required navigation lights after sunset. Also: Failure to Provide Timely Assistance (Unreasonable Risk to Passengers) * During the trip, the tow rope became tangled in the propeller. I called the marina at 6:25 PM for assistance. * I was told to use the disabled trim switch (which they knew did not work since they admitted to disabling it on all boats) * I called again at 6:55 PM and 7:05 PM, reporting that we were drifting in shallow water. * Assistance did not arrive until ~7:20 PM, the exact time my rental was scheduled to end. * We were finally freed at ~7:40 PM, leaving us exhausted, stranded, and unsafe for over an hour. Leaving a family stranded in shallow water -- after knowingly providing a tritoon with disabled controls and no speedometer -- constitutes a serious lapse in boating safety obligations.

We had 50 guests and every single person commented on what a fantastic time they had. Every staff member was professional and took excellent care of our guests. Working with James Winkler was awesome. He helped us in every aspect of getting the party set up and was always available to answer all of our questions. To sum it up I will bring the wife and kids back, I wanted to make a dry run first to get the lay of the land and now that i checked it out I will be back in October when the weather cools off. If you want anything special bring it with you, as Brookshire Brothers is the only thing close which is a grocery store.. it is a little of a drive back (15 min) to the small town of Trinity and even longer (35 min) to Huntsville which is good for a getaway but bad if you forgot you medication or want a chain restaurant.. The owners truly care about the place and that is what really matters, as we were leaving the owner asked if their was anything that he could do to make our stay better and listened to what we suggested. On a last note they have two cabins right on the waters edge that is perfect for two families to visit together but have separate quarters. The cabins are close enough for the kids to play safely but far enough apart you don't hear the little things The couple next door had a dog that was a barker but once we shut the door you couldn't hear a thing. I think the owners will do noting but improve the place and I will definitely return as needed to get away from the city life.

Hundreds of LITTLE ROACHES hiding in the baseboards of the house. DISGUSTING! Figured maybe he didn't know about the situation but his silence speaks louder than my screams when a ROACH touches me!

Not too far but a ways from home, first thing I noticed as I pulled in was all the seating areas, which was perfect since I bought food for us to enjoy the outdoors before we fish. This Marina offers a deck with many picnic tables, perfect for families to visit all at one time. The restrooms were clean and my kids also enjoyed running back and forth from the deck to the playground. My family and I felt safe the entire time we were there, all I had to pay for was the $10 private parking offered at the marina, not to mention all people there were so kind. Met lovely fishermen and women that made suggestions for my first time fishing. I look forward to coming here with my kids again and create great memories by the water.
