This place is fantastic! I saw a used boat ad over the holiday weekend and Larry came out on a day off to show us the boat. Robbie then took us out and demo'd it on their private lake. This was a ten year old boat and Larry and the rest of the SMG team went out of their way to make sure everything was just as perfect as a brand new one. When it came time to sign papers, George had us in and out in 10 minutes and helped negotiate a killer deal on an extended warranty. We recently purchased a new Axis T23 wakeboard boat from SMG Wake and couldn't be happier. The whole process was very relaxed and comfortable. The sales staff made sure I knew everything about not only my boat, but the competition's cross-shop boat as well. (all great guys with a huge background in boating). The sale was low pressure, but fun. They made sure my family had all our questions answered while we were out on the water demoing boats long before we talked about price. Keith took extra time to drag the boat up to Lake Conroe so we could test it in rough water, as well. I was even able to surf behind the boat in the middle of winter on their private lake before we purchased. Through and through these guys continue to shine even after what was a 'very large' purchase for my family. Our new Axis has already been through the service department for its first service (due to the hours we've already put on it) and that part of the dealership took great care of us as well. SMG boat beware! They are not reputable in the boat business. Purchased a used boat they had surveyed "in house" and assured me that no problems with boat existed other than what they had listed. The boat has a $3800 to $7000 issue (not sure until repairs start). Good luck getting someone to respond, that doesn't seem to be a concern of theirs. Here is suggestion for you if you would like a SMG owned boat. Call a reputable dealer and have them look the boat over or find you a better one. Buyer BEWARE!! read more

We purchased a 2010 air Nautique boat from SMG wake of Houston. Our sales guy was Keith and he was wonderful. He answered our many calls, texts and emails promptly. He was able to get us exactly what we wanted plus some on our trade in and worked us a really good deal on our boat. He was up front with issues as they arose and made sure that they were addressed. We made 2 trips to Houston from Leander which is about 3 hours. The 1st trip was just to check out the boat and the 2nd trip was to purchase the boat. We were on a strict time schedule and Keith and the dealership made sure to handle everything for us so that we could be in-and-out. The test drive of the boat was awesome because they have their own little private lake. Inside the dealership there is a great selection of wake boards, wake surfboards, skis, life jackets you could want or need for your boat. The dealership also has a small area for kids to hang out and play in or color. The show room has a ton of boats to look at and since we were buying a used boat there were quite a few used both options. If you're in the market for a boat I would check them out for us it was definitely worth the 3 hour drive. Ask for Keith you won't regret it. read more

When you're buying a &65k boat, you would expect exceptional service. My boat arrived with spider cracks on the hull, no boat kit (as promised) and no boat manual, which was supposed to be given to me at purchase but took three weeks to ship. SMG likely knew about the spider cracks but opted to ignore it and didn't offer any solution other than suggesting I call the mfg. about the warranty. I'd stay away from this dealer.
