Waterpoint Marina along Lake Conroe was a nice stop to have a relaxing walk and chat with family. Parking is free, and the boardwalk is well maintained. In the center of the pier, there is an observation hole, where you can feed the fish and have them come to the surface. There is a little coin operated fish food dispenser, which provides for entertainment for kids and husbands alike! We did find that the fish didn't want to have anything to do with that creepy observation hole, but were abundant on the outsides of the pier itself, and gobbled up their snacks. The marina was well maintained, and had very little refuse around, and no graffiti or any of that type of stuff. Very relaxing. I did notice that there wasn't a whole lot of seating. There was only a bench or two, which happened to be occupied the entire time we were there, so there was no place for our elders to get off their feet. There were a few shops along the marina, but none of them were open. There was really no place for light treats and snacks. I noted one or two expensive sit-down restaurants. I believe this Marina is still developing, as they are building and selling new condos in the area. So hopefully, they get more eateries and things to do along their beautiful pier. I didn't know that Lake Conroe was so huge! It seems to go on forever and feels like you are looking out into the endless ocean, and not just a lake. There are boat and slip rentals available in the marina. I think if I lived here, I would probably visit often. read more

My husband and I rented the Little Palm Yacht at Waterpoint Marina for our joint 60th Birthday celebration on Saturday, November 9th. We had 50 guests and every single person commented on what a fantastic time they had. Every staff member was professional and took excellent care of our guests. Working with James Winkler was awesome. He helped us in every aspect of getting the party set up and was always available to answer all of our questions. He even helped me when our DJ backed out 5 days before the party. I can not recommend them enough. read more

We were visiting my family over Memorial Day weekend after they recently moved to Lake Conroe and had reserved a pontoon through Waterpoint Marina a week or so in advance. Having erroneously double-booked our reservation, the owner of the Marina, Jim, personally came into the office on Sunday to handle the dilemma with us. We were obviously upset with the news that despite having a reservation, we were no longer going to be able to rent a boat, but Jim presented us with three options to remedy the snafu. Having traveled out of town for the holiday weekend, we were determined to get on the water, so we accepted his offer to take us out on his personal cabin cruiser for the day. He did everything he could to accommodate us....from making sure we had plenty of drinks to making sure to show us the sights on the lake. This is how a business should be ran.....Jim and his staff did an amazing job at keeping the customer happy.....5 stars+ !!! Thank you for the amazing day, Jim! read more

Decided at the last minute to take a trip to Conroe to play on the lake. Called around and this company was our company of choice. When we got there we were greeted by a VERY friendly staff. They were laid back and relaxed yet very prompt and paid attention to details. The equipment was in FIRST RATE condition. Look forward to going back to play again soon. read more

I rented a slip here to keep my boat. Had no issues for months. I let my family friends use the boat one day. The next day I got an email from management requesting me to pay an additional $500/month because they feel I am renting my boat. I explained to James Winkler that I was not renting the boat and the guy gave me real off vibes. I should be able to keep my boat here and allow my family to use it every now and then without question. I can understand if I constantly had people coming and going and we are actually renting the boat out and making a profit but that is not the case as this is the first and only time I have let my friend take the boat. And the guy James Winkler did not care to even listen and understand. No matter how attractive the Marina is and it's great location I will do business with another place that is less stressful and understanding. They are only money hungry here. read more

I had an amazing experience on the Star Gazer cruise hosted at Waterpoint. It was $75ish per person and worth every penny. The views where breathtaking and the food was incredible. I'm so glad we did this and I recommend it to anyone, whether it's families or just couples. Loved it! read more

Customer Service is fair.. Rented a boat for 4 hrs, 1.5 hrs of those was standing still becuz the boat broke twice on us. And finally, they downgraded us to a smaller boat and charged us the whole amount. Manager wasn't on duty and their excuse was: "WE CAN'T CALL HIM ON HIS DAY OFF" read more

We rented the Paradise Party Barge for a memorial service for my dad. It was amazing. Captain Robert and dockhand Justin were absolutely wonderful. We were allowed to bring our own food and drinks and listen to our own tunes. What a beautiful way to honor my dad. I will definitely use their service again. We rented a houseboat for the weekend. It was a non motorized houseboat so we stayed at the dock but we enjoyed our weekend. AC was hard to get to a happy temperature but the boat was a good size. We stayed on the Island Time and loved to sit on the upper deck in the evening. The breeze was wonderful. Restaurants were within walking distant and although I had a full kitchen on board they do not provide 'good knives' to do much cooking. It would be nice with a few more details but it was a good weekend. read more

We rented a speed boat for half a day. The speed boat was cleaned and ready for us when we got there. The very professional staff informed us about the lake and provided us with a map and suggestions for good spots to pull the tube on the lake and offered suggestions of areas for for our kids to swim. We booked the Little Palm for my husband's 50th birthday party for a 4-hour cruise. Unlike some companies, we were allowed to use our own caterer. We also rented the margarita/daiquiri machine which included our bartender for a nominal fee. Our DJ set up on the top deck, and guests enjoyed dancing and singing karaoke. There should be an option for ZERO stars! We planned a two night stay in one of their houseboats (Island Time). First of all, the reservation clerk, Jade, did not confirm dates booked. When we arrived, she informed us that WE had made a mistake & had reserved for the day before we arrived and the current one. Guests were scheduled to arrive after us & no other openings. She did not offer a solution other than a raincheck. Great. So we tried to make the best of it. We were greeted by BUGS at the door of our houseboat and they even slept with us! When we checked out the next day Jade told us that we could have a refund if we contacted the owner. On their website, SHE IS LISTED AS OWNER. We have been emailing them for a solid week since our "relaxing stay" and not a single reply. We will not return. We will not recommend this place and even the bugs should get a refund! read more

I booked a houseboat stay for July 2014. Had it booked for over two months. Got an email today that the reservation had been cancelled. When I emailed the person in charge, was told that our reservation was not completed. Never heard from them since we booked our reservation until they cancelled our non-existing reservation. So unprofessional to cancel on us three weeks before we are scheduled to be there and we even took the week days off to be there! Do not recommend them to anyone! read more

Stayed on The boat Sumerset for one night. Very clean with extremely helpful staff (Thanks Sherry). Good AC within boat - and plenty of room inside. Full kitchen - but since there plenty of food options within walking distance really don't need when staying on this boat. It was a nice evening for family. Upper deck is covered and makes a great sitting spot. The water slide is a nice touch for kids (and perhaps adults who might have had a few too many as well..). Did well fishing around the dock as well. It was a good evening - and I will be back to do it again. read more

This business has serious issues with ethics. They rented us a broken jetski, then charged us almost $1000 when they "discovered" the problem. I would seriously recommend you DO NOT come to this location, for they may attempt to scam you. The managers there are pretty impossible to deal with; we were very cooperative and they took advantage of us by charging us $700 in fees for their previously broken equipment. read more

Rented the boat for spring break, there was a price difference from when we rented the boat to a few days before we were scheduled to arrive. The website said $179 yet they claimed it was $269. Management did nothing to reconcile. Communication was lousy, it took 3 calls and an email to reach them. Would not recommend renting from Waterpoint Marina. read more
