My husband and I really wanted to move our 5th wheel to the Good Times RV Park but after this weekend we have changed our mind and no longer interested. We drove to the park to see if that perfect RV spot had opened up and was stopped by a very rude standoffish woman which we learned was the owner/manager Kathy (so she said). One thing I know real well is how to approach and welcome a prospective resident; a "Hello may I help you" with a smile is how you approach a person, but instead got a sharp rude "What do you need." Right then with her comment and mannerism I knew this was not where we want to be. We are sad that Good Times will not be our future home but dealing with a rude manager is not a place we want to call home. We never had a chance to try the restaurant which has rave reviews but be choose not to patronize a place management is not welcoming. Suggestion Ms Kathy practice you social skills when approaching a person. read more

So there is a marina in Channelview on the San Jac River that has a little bar and grill. The place is very spacious inside. They have no A/C but plenty of fans going and cold beer, tvs for the games and good food. Horseshoe bar, plenty of tables, very friendly staff. The burger was on point, the rings were typical frozen bag and the shrooms were par but I still enjoyed it. They have load of other things on the menu to tickle your fancy. If you want a change of scenery, food and drinks then sneak off to Good Times Marina. Till we eat again. read more

If you like a rustic dining experience on the water, this restaurant is for you! I have been there multiple times, I love their fried shrimp. Every Friday morning they have an all you can eat catfish deal, you initially get your first plate and then they walk around with a platter and you can request more hush puppies fries, or catfish! read more

Had a hamburger there. It didn't taste like it was 100 percent beef. It reminded me of a lunchroom hamburger you had when you were in high school. The hamburger was a 3/10 but the onion rings were good. You didn't get that many but they were good Oh and the service was good and the restroom was clean. read more

This is an awesome little place out of the way and right on the San Jacinto River. It has great fishing for $10 a day and has a bait shop and some tackle/fishing supplies to get you out on the water. The restaurant is also good. We tried the cheese sticks, Boudin balls, and Cajun eggrolls (boudin filled). Everything was good and not to greasy, the Cajun eggrolls were our least favorite of the 3 but everything was good. read more

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. The amount of lose dogs running around has to be fixed before someone gets bitten. Food hasn't changed in years and im good with that. Its edible and made pretty quickly. Id like to see RV-parking passes issued so you don't have to stop at the gate guard on the weekends when the boater traffic is heavy. I always have liked this place and glad to see the upkeep and maintenance hasn't been let go. Its nice to have grass and trees around. read more

Went here one weekend to take the boat out and ride jet skis. Overall, the experience was good besides the 2 ladies directing parking upon entry. I was meeting a friend here and parked to the side to wait so we could enter together. He was 3 minutes away, but one lady instantly charged up to my vehicle to let me know I could not wait there. Her tone was nasty (and very Karen-like). No biggie. I didn't argue. As I was moving, my friend showed up, so I didn't have to wait after all. We entered and I parked. He got in the line to unload jet skis. The same lady and her friend came to him saying someone told her we had broken line to get in front of someone else. I had gone inside at this time and walked out to her fussing at my friend - again in a "Karen-like" condescending tone. He apologized and said he did not break line in front of anyone. Like, are we in kindergarten?! However, she swore someone pulled her aside and complained that we skipped in line. (Neither one of us saw her talking to this mysterious someone.) Although my friend insisted that wasn't the case, he apologized for the confusion, but I was pissed. I couldn't help but notice we were the only people of color anywhere in sight. Take from that what you want. Other than all of that, we had a great time on the little beaches and out on the water that day. Had it not been for Karen #1 and Karen #2, I would have given this place 5 stars. As for the Karens - yes people of color like to take their boats and jet skis out too. This is not something reserved for just people that look like you. Grow up. read more

I went here last weekend with friends and the costumer service was unacceptable. I asked for water and a young lady gave me water from a faucet, the water was yellow and I made it clear to one of the cashiers and she said it was "lemon water" and wanted me to pay extra for bottled water. Other than this I rate the experience 4/10 food was excellent and tasted immaculate my only complaint is her attitude. read more

Beware of poor customer service. One server grabbed the fish and fries with his hand and put it in my plate after he had trouble with a garbage can. I had to ask another server to replace food Plus the other servers seem to walk right by as if they don't like the color of your money. Note* the fish is not fresh and cooked frozen from case. I have been coming here since 1974, my husband too. We have been bringing our kids ever since they could walk. Now we own a boat and have been launching it there ever since we purchased it. There's a lot of jet skis now and personally I could do without them. It's really not the jet skis, it's more of the people who ride them. They should be made to take a jet ski safety course or some kinda boating safety course. Either way my family and I will continue to make fun fun memories here! read more

This place is like home to me. My dad and I go fishing every weekend and this place never fails to brighten up our trip every time we have a chance to come here. It's been awhile since I've been here but the warmth and welcome feeling I get coming here will never be forgotten. The workers are incredibly nice and friendly. Everyone there will basically act like they've known you for years and treat you like good old friends since 95'! The catfish my dad and I order every time is SO fresh! SO good! I love it! Nice place to get some fresh air and grab a bite to eat. The catfish basket is my favorite item on the menu.

I have been to this Marina three times and twice have had parts stolen off my trailer, I do not recommend anyone going to this location. Today it was just me and one other boater so it must be someone on property stealing. I also witnessed the owner damage someone's trailer with his front loader by the boat launch because they parked in an area near the boat launch. I did not see any no parking signs, the owner was wrong for doing that. read more

After reading the reviews today, I got the fried catfish basket w/onion rings & salad. It was not bad, though for some reason, I was expecting a bit more than 5 rings, 3 fish, and a hand-full of hamburger toppings as a salad. I don't know that I will pay $12.50 for this ever again, though I'm not one to complain. Good place to fish or put a boat in. I keep my boat here in their storage. Watch the tide charts if you have a big boat. I can't get my 22' out in low tide bc the ramp is too short when the water is down. also, use the center. both side have the corners of the ramp broke off. its a 2-3' drop off on the end. Have seen many pull out with flat tires from dropping trailer over end of ramp. Done it myself once, that's how i learned! read more
