This is a larger RV Resort just north of Houston. I started a one year trip across the US at the…read morebeginning of 2026 and it's my first time in an RV so I may not have a lot of perspective on what to expect for an RV park. However, this is my third " resort" so I feel confident giving an opinion. Overall and considering the monthly rate of around $30/night plus electric I'd say it's ok. Not great and not terrible. However there are certainly a few things that need to be changed for me to give a better review. We had some very cold/freezing weather that really wreaked havoc with their water lines. They shut them off in advance of the deep freeze which is understandable but since then the water has been shut off for repairs three separate times including today. The overall upkeep of the park could use some work as well. About half of the laundry machines don't work and the picnic tables that come with each spot are in dire need of replacement. Many of them including mine have rotted wood which is embarrassing when having guests over. The main gate doesn't work and was supposed to be operational for a while now but is not. I would also guess that at least half of the spaces are filled with permanent campers and many of which are definitely way past their prime. Calling this a resort is a bit of a stretch. One of the other issues that I have to point out is the frequent presence (especially at night) of freight trains which are adjacent to the park. If you are a light sleeper you will have problems with the trains blaring their horns through the night. As for the clientele, from what I can tell, most people keep to themselves and I guess that can be expected when half of the spots are filled with permanent campers and not people on vacation. The staff is decent and helpful and they do have scheduled activities for many evenings and the public spaces of the lake/clubhouse/grill pavilions are nice and clean. The spaces are large enough to park your rig and two cars and the grassy area is usable with decent space and many trees. The weather was too cold for me to try out the pool and hot tub so I am not able to comment on them but they seem decent and clean. I also did not use or look at the public bathrooms and shower facilities. Next time I am in the Houston area I will probably look for a different place to stay. Overall, considering the low price, you could do worse, but I think you could also do better for not a lot more money.

Fantastic site, kind staff. Our go to for trialing in Roanoke! The dog park is handy too!!read more

The property is tucked into a quieter area, and the small lake behind the hotel creates a surprisingly relaxing backdrop, especially from the pool area and certain rooms. It adds a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. The staff were ready to help the moment I walked through the doors. Check-in was quick, my reservation was easy to locate, and they took the time to explain everything happening around the property during my stay. Once I made it to my room, I was happy with what I found. The room was cute, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, it gave the impression of a quality hotel that takes pride in its appearance. As the evening went on, I did notice a couple of things. The shower setup wasn't my favorite as someone on the shorter side. Let's just say the showerhead seemed determined to have a direct conversation with my face. The bigger thing future guests should know about is the noise level. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend requesting a room on the fourth floor if possible. I noticed quite a bit of sound carrying through the building during the evening. It wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but it was definitely noticeable and could be more bothersome for someone who is sensitive to noise. What truly impressed me, though, was the customer service. During my stay, the staff reached out to check on how things were going, and I shared the same feedback I've mentioned here. When I tell you they went above and beyond to address my concerns, I mean it. Not only were they incredibly kind, but they responded quickly and genuinely seemed invested in making my stay better. Honestly, that level of service is what won me over. I spent some time relaxing by the lake afterward, enjoying the view, and it turned into one of the most peaceful parts of my trip. While I didn't have a chance to eat on-site, I did enjoy a few drinks, and they were quite tasty. Overall, this is a beautiful property with a great location, comfortable rooms, and some of the best customer service I've experienced at a hotel. A few adjustments to noise management would make it even better, but the staff's commitment to guest satisfaction left a lasting impression on me.

The bar is not inside the restaurant but in the lobby as well. The rooms are comfy and clean. You really need to specify what water view you want. I got the parking lot with water in the distance. I really enjoyed dinner in the long bar. Being a solo traveler I don't want to sit at a table alone in the restaurant. But it looks nice inside. The food is good and bartenders great. The pool area is also nice. Overall it's clean, quiet, and I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back.

First off the so- called manager Billy Patel is an alcoholic who drinks on the job. He drinks a case of Coors. Very unprofessional. Next because he was a cheap boss, he's hire illegal immigrants paid them under the table cash. That's all he hired was illegal immigrants and Mexicans that couldn't speak English. He treated us like crap. Never talked to us, never had meetings. The hotel constantly had bedbugs I've seen them several times asking with cockroaches. He told all of us to shut our mouths don't let the guests here this. Then in room210 seconds floor there was always green mold all over the bed, couch ,computer chair, tables. He make us house keepers go into the rooms and wipe every thing day , he even made the matemence man go wash and scrub the green mold from the couch, in stead it really needed to get thrown away. All the furniture in all the rooms were broken out dated. None of the drawers opened because they were broken. I cleaned the ac filters and there was black mold in the filters. Black mold under the ridge of the toilet where the other house keepers didn't clean good enough. Some of the house keepers never changed the pillow cases putting fresh clean ones on then. Being to lazy to do so. Many of them never vacuumed the rooms again being lazy. They didn't take pride in cleaning the rooms . We had to put the break fast up to. We'll Billy wouldn't let us throw that mornings scrambled eggs away they works out it in a bowl flow the next morning. Same goes with the gravy. That got reused for the next morning too. None of them ever wore clothes when they were putting bread back in the bags ,bagles back in bags. I'm really surprised no guest has gotten food poisoning. The hotel isn't family oriented, it's a drug den, I've found Crack pipes, syringes from heroin or meth use. Weed in the drawers next to the bibles. They have a sign at the door saying that the building is under construction. That's funny I've been there since first week of March carpet was the only thing laid. And it wasn't even professionals that did it. The roles of carpet is still in the front. Billy hired the cheapest Mexican he could find. Then cars have been broken into. Peoples stuff in there rooms have been stolen. The list goes on and on. Billy and his wife live there on first floor where it says storage room. Billy begged is not to tell any one because he's not supposed to be living on the premises. The thing that really bothers me is Billy is an alcoholic and drinks his Coors beer on the job. In the laundry room. I got fired because ihave an abcess in my tooth, they claimed I missed to much work. What the he'll am isupposed to do come to work with the left side of my face swollen and in so much pain. I don't have health insurance. Billy pays us dirt. Treats us like shit when he sees us he doesn't even say hello. He's useless. So he gets this uneducated girl who has no manager experience to let me go . When I was asked why I'm let go there should of been a reason corrina gave me 6different reasons. She had no idea what to say. Very in professional. Billy keeps her because she does all the paper work Anna Billy drinks him self till he's drunk. If you care about your children I'm begging you don't go to that hotel black and green mold is deadly. Billy will not get exterminators out there. We lost a hole base ball team last summer because of how bad this hotel is. It's a drug hotel and I've seen pimps coming in with there whores. I promise you everything I've said is true. I was actually looking for a better job when they let me go. I busted my but die that company never got a raise never got Christmas bonus. He made us cook, clean rooms after cleaning rooms we had to go do all the laundry. That's how cheap Billy patel is. Go to Laquinta there hotel is very updated and clean. I've worked there before. That's all.

Plus the location is close to the Cynthia Woods Pavilion so it allowed us to hear the Dave Matthews Band concert performance which took place on the 8th. Nothing like hearing the soulful sounds of the violins and horns from that band. The hotel has some nice amenities including a hot tub and pool located on the 2nd floor (both are outdoors). There's several lounge chairs where you can hang out while you get your tan on by the pool. There's also a hotel kitchen/bar area serving up nice cocktails and theres' the breakfast area which is complimentary for Globalist members which we took advantage of. I loved their brisket eggs benedict; definitely recommend ordering. Now back to our suite, there was also a lounge couch giving us more room to spread out. They also gave us complimentary chocolates and a hand-written note welcoming us while mentioning our anniversary. I really liked that personal touch as it made us feel valued. The bed is comfortable and we slept quite nicely. There is a mural above the bed of some woman with a hat covering her eyes; it kind of freaked us out at first but we grew to appreciate the artistic touch. Parking is behind the hotel where you can do valet or self-parking. It's also within walking distance for all the shops/outlets so there's plenty to do staying here. Definitely a favorite hotel of ours and we'll be more than happy to stay here again!
