During the week there is construction of a housing development, but it quiets down after 4 and they are almost done. The park has a pool with a beautiful hot tub, ponds for fishing, a playground for the kids, a dog park for the fur babies. It also has a club house and there are activities almost every weekend. I'm just very impressed with the nice lots(with concrete pads or strips to park on. Each site has a fire pit and charcoal grill.

We have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. It's small and very well taken care of and great communication from the owner. I included a satellite image because i noticed there was no lot image on their website. Which i like to look at personally. So this should help you! The bottom on the screen is the main entrance and the top is the back/exit. If i could give some advice i would say just to be sure to take your time when finding the place. The sign is small and tucked in so it's easy to miss. Especially at night. You can't really see the sign then except for the small string lights wrapped around it. But just take your time and you shouldn't miss it!

They have a mail system that works not like the last place at Laurel Springs RV Park which only had organization over small mail in envelopes. Good luck finding your package at Laurel Springs. Forest Retreat has an organized mail room. The dog park has plenty of room for the dogs to run. The park has cameras to see who is doing what and a nice pool area. Fishing next door to the resort at Bull Silas Park. The location is close to shopping and things to do.

Noise from all areas. I get the nearby stadium loudspeaker, the rodeo park at end of road with Fast and Furious cars all night, and late night loud music from bar across the back pond but when it's all day from someone in the park and just disrespectful and rude and nothing is done about it but they tell you they're working on it so you continue to pay monthly that's wrong. Worse when it's a grown older adult causing the issue. And the If you're not in the low paying clique and you're paying for the most expensive spot losing you is ok compared to clique. Do your research. Lots of parks in the area. I have pics of grass uncut and mattresses laying outside for days but will have to find review site that allows photos. Hope this helps someone. Oh and don't expect any electricity refund soon after leaving. A nearby park gave us same day we left but here we are still waiting for our refund from Forest Retreat.

All the sites are paved and you have plenty of room. We like the pool and hot tub and the kids liked the clubhouse. They have a nice playground and horseshoes pits. Now for the bad, there are no heaters in the bathhouse which names taking a shower at 48 degrees really fun. I had issues pulling into my spot because a resident likes to park in the road. After that, I noticed the park didn't like to enforce its own rules. Definitely units over 10 years old that look bad, lots of junk or "stuff" stored outside the units and then people parking in the road all day. We didn't have to deal with the noisy neighbor. We did hear the cart racing, but it was during the day so not an issue for us.

Grand Texas RV Resort is a great place to stay. I was here twice for long periods of time....6…read moremonths or more at a time. All in all I was here for 1 to 1 1/2 years between 2021-2025. I watched as this place improved themselves time and time again. Expanding pads, improving swimming pool, adding RV canopy's and cabins. You will not find better staff. I stayed at other RV parks before I found these guys and they beat them all hands down. They keep you up to date on things going on like bad weather, power outages really anything that concerns the RV park. You are 20-30 min from Spring, 30-45 min from Huntsville and 1 1/2 hours to Galveston. For me it was close to each one of my projects and easy access to 59. The water park is right across the road and the Go Cart track is next door. This area is growing more and more with the Food Court, McDonald's, Dominos Pizza, and Taco Bell. All of the food places were not here a year ago. This place is pet friendly, kid friendly and family friendly. There are rules they expect everyone to follow such as vehicle speed, quiet time, and leash for your animals. Again, I can not say enough about the people here. Just an all around great place to stay.....I will be back when I get another project in this area.
