It's currently 106 degrees on Saturday in Dallas. My outside unit had stopped working correctly…read moresometime last night. I asked friends for suggestions and got a couple. I called them and the soonest they could see me was Monday. I wound up on Yelp. I contacted a different HVAC company on Yelp but Yelp sent my information out, and Alan with HM Tech responded. Meanwhile I was reading a lot of reviews and getting a lot of answering machines and "see you Monday" appointment calls. As my inside temperature kept rising, I finally called Alan back, told him my problem, and asked how much a service call was and when he could be at my house. He told me the service call was $85 and said he could be here in a couple of hours (again, on a Saturday). He was here just about exactly when he said he would be, and he went right to work outside. By then my temperature inside was at 86 degrees. After maybe 20-30 minutes, Alan said that the fan capacitor and the compressor capacitor were both out and would need to be replaced. I asked him what that meant, if he had them, etc. He said yes and gave me a quote. I gladly approved the work. By about 3 o'clock, maybe a minute or two after, the work was complete. The invoice including his service call fee was under $400. (Again - on a Saturday.) While I don't wish for more HVAC problems, it's good to know I'll be able to rely on someone who is , honest, responsive, and very professional. I enthusiastically recommend Al's work!

Review Part 1. Let's begin at the beginning . I bought the house while stationed at Ft Hood and…read morenever had the time to address the air conditioning due to all of the deployments. There were 4 AC companies that gave me quotes. A1 Air not only was the highest of all the quotes but stated that all of the unnecessary work that they did quote was code and had to be performed such as installing a French drain , and when asked about an incentive from Oncor , the sales woman's stated quote ," Oncor has no money to give away for any incentives...HA HA." All of the companies gave quotes for a 2.5 ton and the 16 or above seer system with and with out heat pumps along with WiFi capable thermostats. A1 Air 8700.00 with 18 month zero % financing . Chapman Air, 7700.00 no zero % financing . Willard Air 7500.00 18 month zero % financing . Forney Air 60 month zero % financing, Oncor incentive used towards price of the unit , and the final price was under the lowest I was quoted by the other ac companies. The 34 year old ac system in my house was completely removed and replaced with a shiny new system along with new electrical boxes and wiring 10 year warrant on parts and 3 year warranty on labor which was way better that the other companies . Communication between the owner Richard and his techs and office was the easiest I've ever had with any company . Any issues I may have had with anything was quickly resolved . So far the service works great and no issues as of yet and really do not expect any. I have recommended this company since the first hour that they started installing my new AC unit. The part 2 of this review will be after the long hot summer of 2019 to report back how the new AC service has worked . 06/30/2020 Review Part 2 On June 17th 2020 our A/C started blowing hot air. Being I decided to see if it was a fluke and let it run for a day or so just to see if it was the heat or actually the the A/C. Well , it never got cold. So on the 19th we called Forney Air and scheduled the appointment. At 3pm a technician arrived and discovered a cool element in the attic malfunctioned , which is rare for that unit. The technician was able to get a new part ordered from a near by supplier and was also able to get that part same day . Forney Air Owner Richard and a platoon of technicians arrived with the new part and quickly installed and performed diagnostics on the entire system. All of this including the inspection and replacement took maybe all of 3 hours and was covered under the warranty. The efficiency and professionalism of Forney Air has still not wavered. Support your local business like Forney Air . You will not regret it.

After the review hit the owner of the company came out and fixed everything ... no more duct tape…read moreand I have been very satisfied with everything I just hate that it was a bad review that fixed the problems ... but they are fixed and I am very pleased that it was taken care of today ... thank you Richard First review ... Very disappointed with the service I have received... I had a new ac unit put in a couple months ago a very nice upgraded 2 stage system ... the owner Richard came out and was very nice let me know what my options were and seemed Very thorough and knowledgeable while selling the unit that is really the reason I went with his company ... come install day 2 guys came out and put the unit in they seem to have had some trouble getting the unit in the ac closet they took the thing apart and installed in piece by piece ... but once again they know what they are doing I really do not ... the first day before they even leave I notice that the system is really loud they dont seem to think anything of it after testing it out and such I give it a couple days then decide to call it takes 2 calls to get a call back and have them check it out they come out and yes there was a problem a zip tie was In the fan making it like a card in the spokes of a bike tire ... a couple weeks later I open the ac closet and it is like a freezer in there I have more ac in that closet them my whole house it seems and I notice that the unit has black duct tape all over it so I call them again it once again takes 2 calls to get a response...they send out the same guy that installed it he is very nice but he comes out and duct tapes it more and tells me that these (top of the line) American standard dont always have there seals and gaskets in them or just dont fit right ... the problem is still going on I can leave that door open to help cool the house I guess ... so I have been calling the owner for over a week now and i can not get a return call at all !!! I wanted to have him come out and check it as it being duct taped together doesnt seem like it's a good unit that i just paid high dollar for plus the filter that I will need to change is behind the drain pipes and seems impossible to get it out to change it ... that nice 3 year warranty doesnt seem that great if they won't return there calls at all!!!! Good luck if you use these guys!!! I will now be calling a reputable ac company to came out and fix it or reinstall it correctly I guess !!!

I had Willard put in my Trane HVAC system a few years back. They had great service and quality…read more Now they do plumbing and electrical. I'm part of their Shield Membership, so I called them for a plumbing leak that I found this afternoon. Here's the good: they were able to come out quickly, same day to fix the leak. I used to fix these leaks when they'd occur under my 60+ year old pier and beam house, but I'm tired of crawling around under the house, so I asked Willard out for this repair and a quote to replace all the old copper pipes under the house. I described in detail the leak and its location (the leak was within a foot of the crawlspace scuttle-hole for easy access). I explained that the leak was under the ground, possibly 6"-12" deep. The technician, Brian Cisco, arrived, saw a Shark-bite fitting at the ground level and immediately assumed it was the culprit. I told him the leak was likely underground because of the way the water was pooling and the lack of seeing any water emanating from the fitting. Anyway, he said he'd fix the leak and quoted me $617. I was a little taken aback at the price, but everything costs more these days and I'm tired of crawling under the house. Fast-forward four hours and two attempted sweat fittings that both leaked after install and he installed press fittings. NBD. Whatever works. But, when he "fixed" what he thought was the leak he discovered the real leak about 8" under the fitting he just fixed and said it would be closer to $2,000 to fix it now. I'm livid at this point. I asked for a repair that would require a little bit of excavation, I told him exactly where the leak was and that it would require the excavation. The fact that he couldn't sweat a joint should have told me everything I needed to know. So, bottom line: I paid Willard $617 to dig a hole to find a leak that I will now have to repair myself. The ridiculous thing is that this took over 4 hours to get to this point. This was an EASY repair. I'm NOT happy. What's frustrating is that his $617 quote included a 24" deep excavation to repair the leak. So, my question to Willard is: if he thought the only leak was a fitting at ground-level, why include a 24" deep excavation on my invoice? (BTW, the actual excavation was less than 10" deep and he left the leak without fixing it unless I ponied up $2000!) Take a look at the photo below. To give you an idea of how easy this repair is I took this photo from the closet in my bedroom - easy access. Update: Willard sent out a new technician, Charles Gandy, to solve the problem this morning...hopefully it gets resolved, but this has not been an enjoyable experience. Charles Gandy was able to fix the leak and actually went above and beyond by adding a shut-off valve just in case another leak occurred down the line. Thank you Charles for making this right.

We ask them daily not to park in our spaces or block our cars, and we only get rude responses. When we ask them to move so we can park or leave, they are not responsive or helpful. They have also shut off the water to our building five times, even after the city put up signs telling them not to touch it. The City of Dallas confirmed they do not have a permit to turn off the water at the property they are working on, and they have still done it two more times. One employee even admitted he did it by accident, so they clearly do not know what they are doing. When we said we would call a towing company if they kept parking here, the supervisor laughed, said good luck, and started yelling and mocking us. The 311 operator heard everything and dispatched someone, which finally made them leave for the day, at 6 pm. Do not give them your business. They are rude, unprofessional, and doing work without a permit.
