He gets here, tells us the compressor is blown and they no longer make it so we need to replace the whole unit. He gives us two different quotes ranging from $12k-$15k. We call an additional company out on Monday to get a second opinion, the tech diagnoses the issue and repairs the faulty wire in under 5 minutes. I immediately called AHS back as I'm now questioning what exactly Jordan did that I paid $190 for. My invoice says "blown compressor" but that doesn't tell me the diagnostics ran. AHS has no detailed service notes. Requested a refund as there is no tangible proof that their tech even tried to diagnose the issue vs. just taking a picture and trying to sell me a new unit. Was told that this has to be discussed with the homeowner even though the company came out and took my money without ever speaking to the homeowner. Learned these guys are commission based, makes sense. Go to a legitimate contractor who isn't all about making sales.
