All the employees there are helpful and very kindhearted. Someone is always ready to help or answer questions. Every time I go there, I never have a bad experience. Excellent customer service! I ordered online for a store pick up and when I got there, I was helped or spoken to by three employees. One told me that someone will be with me shortly, one started the laminating machine for me, & the third one just simply told me no worries about something I mentioned. I usually have anxieties around back to school time and having to deal with lines can make me feel worse. This time, completely opposite of what I used to experience. This store is/was originally for educators. They offer educational games/toys/learning aids aimed at younger children for at home and in the classroom use. My delivery charge would have been $30+ and there were some in store only Black Friday deals so I drove half an hour from Queens. Their parking lot is free and plentiful. They provided cordial, fast and efficient service. Their prices are reasonable and they offer fun ways for children to learn. I'll be back! read more

Great store for teachers and parents of young children! So many educational toys, classroom supplies and books. They even have laminating machines. You can laminate anything from small to large in under a minute! You can get a discount card (for free!) to save you a lot of money. Who doesn't like that? A free discount club that saves me money? I'm totally in! You can sign up for text alerts also. They text you about 2-3 a week with discount offers. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help you find what you're looking for. I have come to this location a few times because whenever i buy gifts for little cousins or my friends kids i try to get something nerdy and educational, or something that will be fun for them. Lets face it if its something that they can learn from it may turn into something great for them. Primarily this is where they have a lot of supplies for educators. I have checked their online store before i come in but when you arrive its a magical land where everything is labeled clearly and easily reached for the most part. I Have purchased fun stickers here and they have quite the sticker collection. My latest find was something i had drawn with as a kid and i wanted to get something a little more creative for a 4 year old than just blocks or kitchen accessories. it was this black paper that when you scratch it away it has rainbow colors underneath. i brought it for my little cousin and she loved it. i dont think she had ever seen that before and i become the cool cousin 100x over! best $20 i spent. they had plain rectangular sheets and also a set of sheets that were shaped like different animals. cant wait for someones next birthday to check out! This is a different type of toy store in a small strip in New Hyde Park. Was looking for an educational gift for my nephew and they had some really cool stuff that are both fun and educational. They also sell a ton of merchandise ideal for elementary school teachers as well. The staff, though helpful, are a bit pushy and follow you around which I found a tad annoying which is my only gripe. Prices are surprisingly reasonable here as well for a specialty store. Scored two great gifts at a prices lower than Toys R Us. It's a great place for teaching supplies and educational toys. read more

very nice 20% check in deal. I love it when businesses recognize the power of yelp and give some sort of discount for the check in. Love it... so much so i'll give it an extra star! if you are a teacher you probably already know about this place. it's got basically everything a teacher needs. My wife is a teacher and whenever she steps foot in this place she gets these crazy eyes, probably the same eyes i get at Fairway. I've also seen these eyes on my kids on Christmas morning. Yes this place is a teacher's wonderland. everything i mean everything teacher related can be found here. But it's not only for teachers its for anyone who wants to help their kids do better in school, lots of different things that are educational and fun. I randomly drove by on my way somewhere else and as a tutor of younger kids and a teacher of college students (who get stickers on their quizzes at the age of 21 because I can't help myself), this place appealed to me. Inside is a TON of information to foster creativity and scholastic development. It also has things for real teachers of classrooms like those borders and class chore list type things. It also has lots of dramatic play items like pretend kitchen and grocery store items, so it's also good for a parent who is just looking for fun things to keep their child busy. I can't price compare yet but it seems reasonable and has far more selection than Barnes & Nobles when it comes to interactive educational games. Drawback is you won't find one in the city. Minus a star because the parking lot is horrific although it's not directly their fault. read more

There's a lot to love about this store. I get lost playing with their awesome toys and games every time we visit. We love the free arts and crafts Saturday events. They are usually well thought out and creative. Only downside is that some of the products are overpriced. Upside is that this place is much better and cleaner than your average run down mindless toys you find at your local toys r us. The lot in front is somewhat small. There's a larger lot in the back though. read more

A fantastic teacher store! As far as teacher stores go, this one is much better than Carroll's (in Queens) and the local Staples or Michael's. My friend took me today to stock up on classroom items before school starts. They run a summer sale where nearly everything is 20% off and if it isn't on sale, they always have coupons! In fact, checking in on Yelp also scores you a 20% off coupon off any nonsale item!! There is plenty of parking in the lot which makes it very convenient but sadly it's not accessibly by public transportation if you don't have access to a car :( The store is clean and well laid out. Signs overhead tell you where things are located. The selection is intense...there were too many choices of everything!! It's great because you had so many options of borders/games/little labels, etc but I was almost overwhelmed. Sale items are clearly marked and placed together (sometimes in the aisles). There are also laminating machines in the store if you need items laminated. I believe it's cheaper than Staples' laminating price. I love that there are also games/toys out for you to "sample." Staff were very friendly when we asked for things. There's even a restroom located by one of the entrances. Will definitely come back again for classroom needs!! read more

I am addicted to this place anytime school is in session. I've been to most of the teacher supplies stores in NY: which by the way there aren't many, and they have EVERYTHING! The staff is very friendly and attentive. A great teacher supply store!!! They have a lot to choose from and usually have 20% off on many items. They even do arts and crafts for free on weekends.
