Horrible front end customer service. I politely asked why four frames I purchased in store came up for $21.00 each when the price advertised on the shelves was $16.00 and change. The store employee was so upset by my polite question and seemed overly bothered and annoyed. I just left with my purchases. In future I'll just buy my frames on Amazon which by the way are half the price. read more

I went in before Christmas since I saw a fb reel with tons of Grinch products at Michael's. First, it was sooo cold in the store which sucked for the customers and employees. Second, there were no Grinch products. Third, there were very few decent Christmas related items. read more

Unfilled order followed by a battle of attrition with customer service just to get a refund. It is unclear how much of their apathy was central versus the Manhasset location. I sent a digital image to get framed and picked up at the Manhasset location, pretty simple order. I submitted the order, paid $83, and then heard nothing for 3 weeks. It turns out they cancelled the order after a week and neither informed nor refunded me. Ultimately it took 3 attempts over the course of 3 days with phone customer service to just get a refund for work they never completed. The first two folks never called us back. I'd short this stock if I could, but they are owned by Apollo. read more

I love Michaels store. Every crafty person loves Michaels. My first time at this location. I was greeted by a sweet associate then who helped me too for my online order pick up ... few minutes later helped me in checking out my purchase selections. The store is big, clean and has great selections. Sad though that today is the last day of the holiday market sale, there is no much inventory for what I was looking for. The sweet associate assured me that definitely there will inventory coming out soon. Great location. Parking is available. Easy to find the store. Will come back soon. read more

One star for rude staff except the nice gentleman at the framing. They rushed you out at 9pm on the dot which I understand because staff need to go home. We were trying to find the right frames for the art pieces and unfortunately couldn't find the right sizes. As we were approaching the exit, the staff in the front loudly and nastily complaining about us staying at the last minute and called us "...those freakin people...". Seriously, Michael's??!!! One of my favorite haunts. Perfect spot to get arts and crafts at very reasonable prices. This particular location has super friendly staff and is very well priced for low key birthday parties. This locale is not as big as the one in Fresh Meadows but it serves it's purpose and less overwhelming both in people traffic and layout of the store. My main reason for coming here is to pick up serious art supplies for my budding little artist. The assortment is very decent and everything is labeled. Some cool things to note: They are an excellent source for specialty stickers, seasonal or Holiday crafts, and gift ideas. A lot of DIY ideas and even an amateur artiste can really get the creativity flowing with the inspirational props and decor in the store. They are a good spot to pick up Craft bags/ party favor totes, and party favors. Remember to check the clearance bins and $1 or less bins. You'd be surprised what you'll find. read more

Sure, this place is OK. It's Michaels, so you pretty much know what to expect. The layout of the store doesn't need much explanation, but if you do need help the staff is friendly...if you can find them. I have the feeling they need to hire more people. The workers always seem to be busy and the line to check out is often long. Could be the times i come in, but it does seem to endemic to this location. That said, when you do get to be helped, the staff is super friendly and very helpful. As others have mentioned, parking situation is a big wonky. read more

I usually know what I want and where to get it but today I went to the same person three times at first just to ask.. no luck.. then with my phone and a picture.. no luck.. then I had to get the item number and again no luck.. she didn't spend more than one minute to try to look for it in the system or try to Ofer it from another store location.. nada!!! Michaels does NOT enforce mask wearing. Oh yes, you need to have a mask on your face to enter the store but it doesn't have to be anywhere near your nose and barely over your mouth. I placed an order online for pickup. Usually from other michaels I get the notice that its ready within 1-2 hours. Placed order at 11am. Called at 3pm since I hadn't gotten an email saying it was ready(mind you 4 hours later!) Was told they would "try" to expedite the order. Almost 7 hours later and still no order update. If I had known this I would have ordered from another michaels! read more

Great store for all your crafting needs, however they are frequently out of stock on many items.

Don't come here for art supplies, but use your coupons and save a ton on craft supplies. You'll end up spending a lot more than you think you will because you pick up everything. Also, there's this stand filled with the absolute cutest watches and sometimes they mark them down to $5 apiece, which is an absolute steal for how adorable they are. Keep your eyes peeled for them! :) read more

Horrible customer service in this location, Store manager Monique was incredibly rude and I don't think I am going to shop in this store again because of her. People like her should never work in retail. All I wanted is to exchange a carafe because it was leaking... she said it was used and we can't take it back. It looks a mess all the time theres never any staff but i placed a buy online pick up in store order for 7 strands of beads before 5 pm for pickup same day i go that night and they say no sorry so okay whatever. I was highly impressed by Bia's decorum and good grace during a hectic time in the store. She went to extra lengths to help me get The Witches Tower that was on display. Even though the floor models aren't typically sold, the model was the last one in any store on Long Island. She was highly cordial, and made my experience fruitful. A wonderful manager! read more

There is hardly any staff in this location (Shelter Rock Road and Northern Blvd). This store is open. I needed help and had to call as if I was outside the store to get help. The manager complained to me that there is always a very small staff at that location. The staff complained to me that they want more hours. It's a shame as this store is busy but customers are always waiting for help and to check out. read more

honestly i have been doing my art shopping at ac moore & i decided to give michaels a chance (because I havent been in awhile) and now I regret it - their staff is unfriendly and the parking lot has crazy people in it - everyone is in a rush and is not polite. I encountered a nasty customer & although that is not michaels fault it made my shopping experience miserable - i have not been back since also the sales associate that helped us gave us the wrong information & we spent $30 or so on the wrong supplies! read more

Beware of the "buy online and pick up store" option. This was the first time using this option and although it was not ready the same or next day, my issue is there is no separate area. When I called customer service to see if order was ready I was told that I could tell an open cashier who would then go pick up the order as it was already pre paid. However, when I went to pick up, the manager Veronica was extremely rude and said that I had to "wait in line just like everyone else". I explained that the order was prepaid and it was just a matter of getting the merchandise (which seems to be the common in other stores) and she just walked away. I will cancel my order as if I wanted to just wait in line, i would use the SAME COUPON and pick up from the aisle as there is no added benefit. In fact, Amazon is the same price and will be at my doorstep tomorrow. Thank you Michaels and Veronica of Manhasset. This will never be a choice for my family. read more

I have gone to other Michaels and the cash registers are always full and you barely have to wait, but at this one you always have to wait. I don't think you can really go to any Michael's and go wrong -- their selection is so ridiculously vast and neverending and overwhelming! But at this store it seemed like we could never find any employees to ask where such and such was located. The one employee that I did find seemed harried and unwilling to stop to speak to me. You really have to pay close attention to the register screen when checking out to make sure that the price does match up to what they advertise through out the store. The past two times multiple items in my cart was scanned more than the advertisement and the prices that read on the shelves. The workers do eventually figure out that they made the mistake and honor the correct price but it's so annoying how you have to police the screen to ensure you're not being overcharged. read more
