My fiancé wanted something that has never been done before and she made it happen! Melissa and her staff were a pleasure to work with. She custom created a thick square black lucite engraved invitation with white writing, white square envelopes and response cards with envelopes. My guests jaws drooped when they received my invitations and everyone told me how they have never seen anything like this in their life. For the day of my wedding I rented her card box with a monogram logo. It was a perfect fit for my style and large enough I never had to empty it. Thank you again for everything!!

It is a long review, but if you are planning an event, I urge you to read this until the end…read more Planning my son's Bar Mitzvah was a daunting task. The expense and amount that needed to be done was overwhelming and I needed to figure out a way to rein it in. Hiring a DJ for a Bar Mitzvah is a must, but it isn't as simple as that. The company is also responsible for providing the rest of the kids activities and, most importantly, keeping the party entertaining and flowing. Having recently moved to Connecticut and not put on an affair like this in over two decades since my wedding, I had no idea who to go to and how to keep in manageable. Also, living in CT and never having lived on Long Island, I obviously had no awareness of Great Neck Games. Randomly, an acquaintance at my Synagogue mentioned them in passing. It was honestly the greatest thing that happened to me in planning the event. Although, I am not saying it was cheap in any way, they worked with me on price and activities in order to keep the cost manageable. But, honestly, I still had no idea what to expect day of and how it would all actually take shape. The low hanging fruit was all done flawlessly. Everything that we ordered was delivered and the room looked beautiful. But, it was the little things and the people that made this event so much better than a run-of-the-mill Bar Mitzvah (see below for two of many amazing photos). Everyone was so happy and had such a great time and I credit DJ Keith Webb along with (I wish I knew their names) the MC and motivators. Keith was so much more than just a DJ. We had a separate room for the adults and he brought a speaker and playlist so they had music in that room. There was no charge for this as he just wanted to help make the event a success. He helped me negotiate the price on a couple of things we needed last minute to keep us within budget. He had a smile on his face the entire time that could fill the room. I am so grateful to him and wish I had the ability to hire him time and again. And, the MC...don't get me started on how great he was. I feel bad that I still don't know his name, but as you can imagine the day was a whirlwind and there was lots going on. He was simply special. He made every kid and adult feel like it was their day as well. But, he especially made my son feel like he should at a party of this magnitude. The motivators, two beautiful and talented women, were equally responsible for making both kids and adults feel engaged, happy and special. They were perfect. I am going to cut this here as it is crazy long, but I cannot thank Great Neck Games enough for what they did. I didn't want to put on such an expensive affair, but they did something I didn't think was possible - made me happy I did it. And, they truly deserve a large share of the credit.

Everything was done beautifully but something special needs to be said of how they bought our vision to life for our reception. Backstory: I vividly remember the first time I saw my reception venue in it's plain and bare glory. Our hall was big but it looked corporate. I strongly disliked the chairs and dance floor. I had seen pictures of other decor vendors dressing up the hall to be prettier - but something was always lacking and left to be desired. I was super confused and with no vision on how we could make our decor stand out and also reflect our individual style. When I saw my reception hall the day of our celebration, I remember gasping. House of Dipali is the reason our wedding reception was so so special. We were running behind with planning and came to them only a month before our event. Devina sat with me and now husband and went through our likes and dislikes as well as all of our options that were in our budget. When we learned about any venue restrictions related to decor, Devina worked around them and found solutions. HOD nailed every single detail from the white dance floor with special decals, the silk flowers on the ceiling above the dance floor, the beautiful candle and floral centerpieces, and gold chivari chairs. We especially loved our beautiful and modern stage which so many people noticed, pointed out, and loved the day of our event. I know we made the right choice because we have received so many compliments, texts, and inquiries asking us about our decor vendor. I remember friends posting our event social media and other couples asking who the decor vendor was... Thank you for making us a happy bride and groom! We are so grateful to work with such a kind, responsive, and talented vendor!

We were very embarrassed that the flowers were dead by the end of the night, we threw them all in the garbage, we expected them to last a few days but barley lasted a few hours. Our centerpieces were also missing things that we agreed on which were supposed to be hanging tea lights and rose pedals and tea lights on each table . I'm very disappointed because we trusted this company and to have to think of this as a memory is very disappointing. We have pictures to prove everything. For a grown adult to do such terrible centerpieces for a very expensive sweet party is very sad and shocking. The flowers were dead on arrival, our family members were asking us, why are half of the flowers missing. We tried to reach out to house of dipali but we have yet to receive a response. I would NEVER do business with them again and what's sad is they were highly recommended to us.

However, as the groom, I absolutely did not have to endure a 'bridezilla.' Jacqueline and Darryl were the primary factors for this. Jacqueline was at every dress fitting, and the bridal shower. She helped form the strategic plan, but was on point with the smallest of details. The contacts they had for every imaginable service made planning a breeze. Although they are very busy (for obvious reasons), they promptly replied to every email, text message and phone call. They went above and beyond to serve as referee, counselor, mediator, and fixer. I cannot accurately describe how reassuring it is having a go-to (or two) to put out any fires or better yet, prevent them before they started. For brides-to-be, you will not find a better planner with more solid contacts in the industry. For grooms, cut the check!
