Dined at Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille... only my 2nd time. Sam was our server. Friendly and knowledgeable BUT had to ask multiple times for ice for my drink (frustrating)... I'm not sure why but when I order "ICED TEA" it should have ICE in it -- just my humble opinion! Sooo we ordered the blackened grouper sandwich with "steak" fries (these are not steak fries, sorry) but the fish was cooked perfectly and yummy! Unfortunately the burger was ordered medium and came out well done. We had to send it back -- it took long enough that I was done (I'm a slow eater)... this time the burger was cooked properly and fries were hot. Sam was a nice/friendly waitress but not particularly efficient. Makes alot of wasted trips when she could consolidate. Again my opinion having worked in the food industry. Overall, the food was "ok" but my fish was $16.99 and the poorly cooked burger was $15.99 with no acknowledgement from management/no apology, etc. Especially considering how long it took to get the replacement burger. We've been silently following this place since they opened a few months ago... Finally made it in for dinner tonight and OMG I wish we hadn't waited so long!! Every single thing we ordered was amazing! Even the asparagus was crazy good! The food was top notch, the presentation was gorgeous, and service was stellar! (Fist bump to Isayah H!) The manager Carolyn was awesome, checking in to make sure everyone was up to par and listening to us go on and on about how good the food is! What a great place and view of the water to have a cocktail and a meal. Service was great the 2 times we went. I had a large chopped salad with all the works in it. It was big and it was done right. This was our 2nd & last visit to the Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille. While the first visit, a few weeks ago, was great (& I wrote a review that reflected our satisfaction), tonight's experience was terrible. The 1 star is for the ahi tuna appetizer. However, we asked for 1 burger rare & 1 medium rare, yet both burgers were well-done. The waitress said our table was her very first table on-this-job. The manager offered to replace the burgers (at no charge to us) but as we were short on time could not accept. Additionally, we had just received the appetizer when the entrees were brought to the table. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. Also, we both asked for well-done fries but the chef failed there, too. The fries were good, but chef was unable to make a rare burger or we'll-done fries. Because of tonight's experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

We had dinner at the Lake Eustis Waterfront Grill tonight and I really enjoyed the view! It's right on the lake with a really nice outside seating area and great atmosphere. The service was fantastic and the food was good. We ordered all appetizers. We had the Reuben Eggrolls, fried mushrooms, steak bites, and the pretzel. The eggrolls were the perfect balance of the corned beef and kraut. Expected the kraut to be the dominant flavor but it complimented the beef nicely. The fried mushrooms were sliced portabellas fried in tempura and were delicious. The steak bites were tender and garlicky. We will definitely be back!! read more

We took visiting family for dinner here last week. The service was friendly but horribly slow. Our daughter, who worked in a steakhouse for 6 yrs, ordered the ribeye. I ordered the shrimp & grits. The other dinners at the table were decent so I will not discuss them. The ribeye was at least 70% fat and gristle and was pricey. The shrimp & grits had shrimp with tails on and there were only 4 shrimp in the dinner. The sausage was sliced paper thin and again, only a few slices of that. The majority of the dinner was grits. We asked to see the manager. He came to our table with an attitude. He was rude and condescending implying we knew nothing about steaks because all ribeye cuts are that fatty. My daughter quickly educated him and abruptly left stating he would remove it from our bill. We will never go back. read more

Very disappointed last night. They were out of 7 items on the menu. Both food and bar service extremely slow. The large table next to us could not control their children and left a mess. We had to look at this for over an hour until we left. There was a broom and dust pan sitting by the bar. The buss boys were obviously. Hidden Gem that's in plain sight! Known about this place for a while. We were attending Georgefest parade today and was hungry after. Close to lunch time. Decided to finally give it a try. My wife, daughter and I arrived skeptical thinking it was going to be ridiculously busy. Well it was not. Got seated immediately. Waitress (Cansas) was great and prompt to take out ordered. Bloody Mary's and Rum runners were on order. Both were excellent but be careful with the rum runner. It sweet but packs a punch. We ordered the fried pickles for appetizer (7/10), fish sandwich (7/10) with French fries (10/10), chicken sandwich (8/10) and fish n chips (9/10). Food was weirdly fast to come out. Was hot, fresh tasting and good. Atmosphere is very nice, warm, relaxed, clean (hopefully it days that way compared to some local restaurants), family friendly. View of the lake from inside and out. Upper dining is the best view. Definitely going back soon. Highly recommend. read more

We went February 13 and 14 to dinner and lunch, respectively. The dinner was supreme, service was awesome. Atmosphere outstanding. They turned on the outdoor heater, which made the time there more comfortable. Lunch on the 14th. The meal was great. Other than that, I have nothing good to say. A half dozen servers walking around ignoring our requests for service. Our waiter was asked to start the heater as it was cold in the porch area. He attempted to but couldn't get it started. He said he would get assistance from another server, but no one ever turned on the heat. I requested refills on sodas from two separate servers other than our waiter, and they said they could pass on a message to him. 20 minutes went by, and I took the empty glasses to the bar and was told to sit back down, and they'll get our server. Another 5 minutes, and we finally had refills. I guess no one understands that some servers are busier than others and just getting a refill to the customer goes a long way. Very recently we headed over with our group of about 12 ladies. From the start we were treated "special" Employees were glad to see us... with hellos - smiles and welcomed us. Ambiance out in the closed patio was awesome - inside seemed a little loud. Drastic difference in food quality in 3 months. Got the calamari appetizer, $14, a month ago and it was outstanding. Large rings lightly flowered. Today rings no bigger than a dime and overly flowered and over cooked. The shrimp dinner which advertised large shrimp was small and overcooked. Very disappointed. Restaurant food is 235 pct more than if you bought it and prepared it yourself. And I don't mind if I get quality food. The beer was good so you might just want to turn it into a bar. read more

We visited on Memorial Day when the restaurant was the most crowded. First time experience. So we sat in the patio to watch the lake and boats and half nude people and clouds. All serene and relaxing. This meant that the service was a little slow but it fit the ambience and atmosphere of the day. Becca our server was running around with no wasted motion and provided great service The food was really good I had shrimp and grits and my wife had crab cakes. She showed me that the crab greatly outweighed the filler and was very tasty. She asked Becca for some tartare sauce and that was delivered at Becca's next trip to the kitchen. i e no waiting for extra condiments which allows one to consume the meal without pause I received a very cold bottle of Heineken and a warm glass. No problem as I added two chunks of ice to the beer and poured one third into glass. My wife suggested that I should have dumped the ice water into the warm beer glass and thus have a cold glass for the beer You have to love a great solution even if it comes too late We will return for another lazy summer afternoon of food and drink read more

Came for lunch on a weekday and it was busy but not packed. Our service was great and it was nice sitting on the porch with the fans on. Chef salad was very good and huge portions, but the fried shrimp platter was disappointing - only 4 small shrimp with pretty bland breading.
