I went to this restaurant for dinner! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a cute restaurant. I sat and was served by Nafeese and he was nice. I had: Strawberry Mojito Peshawar Shinwari Karahi chicken in Tomato curry Chili naan Matka gosh lamb and gravy Goat Pulao basmati rice I liked the chicken dish. The lamb was good just a little fatty and needed a tad salt. All in all it was a good experience!

Service is fast! You must try GOL GAPPAY- it's a fun and delish Pakistani street food and you must end the meal with authentic chai and GULAB JAMUN! MANGO LASSI GOL GAPPAY SAMOSA CHAAT LAMB KEBAB CHICKEN MAKHNI HANDI-Mildly spiced chicken in a creamy tomato sauce with butter, garnished with fresh cream. CHICKEN KARAHI-Popular Lahori style curry with ripen tomatoey base, stir fried in Karahi with spices, finished with fresh cilantro and slivers of ginger. Spice level - medium to spicy. The androon sheher of Lahore is famous primarily for two things: first the tragic tale of Anarkali, and second its vibrant food scene, which tends to lean fairly vegetarian thanks in part to its pre-partition establishment. To have a taste of these flavors, one must go in reverse and instead leave the walls of New York City to reach Lahore's location in Secaucus. On weekends you'll find a vibrant spread of all you can drink Kashmiri chai, amazing aloo and plain paranthas, and of course chole, halva and puris to form the classic Pakistani weekend breakfast. This was one of my most memorable meals in recent memory. The freshness of the garm-garm parathas paired with some plain curd while Kun Faaya Kun played in the background - aur kya kehne ka hai!

Ok hear me out- they have a lot of Indian restaurants in JC (not too far away from Secaucus) however, how many places have a Pakistani restaurant? Parking was easier than Jersey City, the portion sizes were massive, and the service was on point! You know the food is good when there's wait to get a table! The staff are really friendly and accommodating. I do wish the place was a tad bigger but I was left a happy customer. Highly recommend to order the goat and lamb chops!

Lahore Restaurant has some of the best (and only) Pakistani food in North Jersey outside someone's home. That said, I've found the Haleem to be inconsistent. The pulses are not always ground to the same consistency and at times it is much spicier than other times. The chicken Karahi is popular and blew my friend's mind. The chicken seekh kabobs were delicious though not very tender. The naan is excellent. The atmosphere inside is quite hectic. I'd like to add that Pakistani food is not Indian food. If you expect your stew to come with a side of rice, it won't. That's not how it is traditionally eaten. You should buy a side of naan, and not dock points because you want the cuisine to be different to suit your tastes. Secondly, this food is spicy. It is very spicy. If you don't want to eat spicy food, then this place is not for you. "Too spicy" for you doesn't mean the food is made incorrectly -- you're just not at the right place for you, and that's okay. However, it is unfair to come into a Pakistani restaurant and expect the food to be less spicy or just like food from another South Asian country.

Lahore restaurant had everything right for the perfect five star experience, but they fell short when it came to service. I went with my family and we had made reservations, but despite of that, we still had to wait another 20 to 30 minutes for our seats At first, They sat us at a table which was too small for our party. After placing our drink orders, we told them to relocate us to a bigger table as there would have been no room to place all the food. We ordered the following items. Aloo Papri chaat 4.5/5 very vibrant and flavorful. Garlic naans 5/5. Damn good. Bursting of that garlic aroma. Mix Grill 5/5 combo of different meats. Grilled to perfection. Chapli kabob. 4/5. It was good. I was expecting beef, not chicken. Havent really tried chicken chapli. Chicken Karhai. 4.5/5 another very nicely presented item and it tasted very good. Excellent combo of seasoning. Gulab Jaman with ice cream. My family enjoyed it. I would visit them again, but they have to improve on their service. the interior is small from inside, especially for the demand that they handle

What a disappointment our take-out food was when my team and I ordered $200 worth of food. I ordered the Chicken Palak. I was shocked to find out it doesn't come with rice. It's just an oily spinach 5-piece chicken stew for $17. I cannot believe for $17, I don't actually get a full meal. I would have to spend an additional $6 for rice. I just cannot justify paying $23. Luckily, I did buy garlic naan for $3.50. But the palak was oily, it did not go well with the naan. This was a one-time thing. I don't see myself ordering from here again. My co-workers felt the same. The majority of my co-workers found their food to be too spicy. I would suggest the owner have spice level. Lastly, the food was not on time. We had to wait 45 minutes more from our pickup time. Be ready to pay the meter.

Okay so first things first the ambiance of the place is really nice. Service is top notch super quick and attentive! Now for the food- we ordered the Beef Chapli (7/10), the Sajji Pulao (6/10) and the Peshawari Shinwari Karhai (9/10). The portion sizes are insaaane for everything. We literally took home half of the food so great points there. Apart from that the food was pretty decent. I'd definitely recommend the karhai. We loved the taste, it was well spiced and served fresh n hot!

My experience is for multiple delivery orders... the food is good. Decent portions for the price... I've had the mixed platter, keema nan, regular nan, chicken karahi, chapli kabob, and more. My 2 biggest complaints are that 1) the food is SUPER SUPER spicy and 2) they only give one chutney despite having numerous items that require it (for example... I've ordered 3 keema nan and 1 mixed platter and got 1 chutney but when I ordered only 2 keema nan, I got the same 1 chutney)!

One of our regular restaurants which never ever disappoints. We travel from far just to enjoy Lahores authentic Pakistani food. Typically we order the kebabs, seekh kebab, chapli kebab and malai kebabs are our go to. If we are in the mood for something fancy we get the goat Karahi or the chicken karahi. A little bit on the oily side, but that IS how it's supposed to be. We also loved the masala fries, the Halden and recently tried the Sajji Pulav which is a whole chicken marinated and roasted, presented on a bed of aromatic rice. Portion sizes are big. You can either order online or place an order on the phone for pick up. They are nice to give us estimated time. The place is clean and welcoming and you know the food is good because there's always a wait time. Service is great and ambience is simple.

Lahore is a great option for Pakistaní food. Everything we ordered was great! You can also choose your spice level on what you are ordering which is nice. The gol goppay was my favorite and I liked the presentation too! Naan was warm and fresh and the chicken tikka boti was full of flavor! For dessert, don't forget the falooda! The staff was also nice and attentive, however, I would not be recommend making a reservation especially on the day weekends as it gets crowded and it may take a while to be seated.

This dish is suppose to be saucy as it is a chaat but not oily flooded. I drove from too far to get this food. I even ate some oil assuming it's sauce until I saw it on my spoon. No doubt Lahore was one the best restaurant when newly opened but now every time I have been there something is always messed up. The girl at the front is very nice but every time it doesn't work like that we're sorry for this next time you can get another one of you want. Like next time I will go and tell them my last story again and ask them for free food? read more

The food was worth the detour we took. The restaurant was very busy with lively atmosphere and interesting decor. The staff was friendly and attentive. They are very racist there. If your not Indian they will treat you like crap. They never served us water. We had to ask. And they just brought bottle of waters. While serving the other tables a pitcher of free water. Chicken Lorna was nasty and full of bones. It hardly had any chicken. Garlic naan didn't taste good at all either. Server hardly tended to us. Very rude. read more

Just had food here. They don't have breakfast. Mango Lassi was warm. Chicken Makhani had chicken that was cold from inside. Apparently meat was frozen. Overall bad experience. Need to improve significantly to get us back. We support all desi food places. And really driving 40 miles and having such food. Just meh experience! read more

Please people do not get your hopes up that high about this eating establishment because myself and my in laws did not have a great experience at all. The location is very nice but the interior needs to be expanded because I felt like I was dining in a walk in closet. Very tight space and super dark(not the best combo). Our server Ajay was inexperienced and was not taking his job seriously. While removing and replacing the dirty dishes with clean ones he missed to maintain a grip on a dirty fork and it slid directly at my mother in law's brand new jacket. She got scarred because she did not want to get it dirty and ran to the restroom immediately. The food was cooked well and was not raw however very average. Highly recommend the chicken sheekh kabob and chicken jalfrezi. The biryani was dry and not moist, and so I did not find it appetizing. Naan was soft and fluffy but not cut into multiple pieces so my wife took her time cutting it for everyone. The rest of the waiters that lifted the dishes seemed like there was a ticking time bomb on their chest and rushed cleaning the table but missed every grain of rice on the table. Long story short, service was crap and food was alright. Never returning again. read more

Great experience for 1 st time visit. Clean place and nice decor. Authentic Pakistani food. Great customer service. Little bit pricey menu. Despite being pricey we still had a great experience. Great customer service. Only few people was in restaurant so we got all the attention we need from the staff and no wait time. I think this place gets crowded during rush hours so we plan to come back when in will be less people. Definitely a great place. Plan to try new food next time. read more

Wonderful dining experience. Although we made a reservation 2 days before for weekend for 7:30 and got there around 7:15pm but were still seated after 8pm. Gol gappay were very tasty. Food was great over all we had chicken karahi, peshawari shinwari karahi, seekh kabab, Dhaka chicken, and amazing fresh naans. A little spicy for us as we have mild at home so do ask them for mild spicy if possible. We also really liked the mango and mint mojito. Food didnt take long to be served so we didnt mind the long wait. My family and I loved Falooda. If you come here you must try the falooda. We will be coming back and recommend this spot. Also, the restaurant is very clean and have friendly staff. read more

We ordered a little bit of everything. We had papri chaat, gol gappe, beef bihari kebab roll, lacha paratha, garlic nan, nan, tandoori roti, Peshawari shinwari karahi, chicken mahkni handi, malai boti and washed it down with mango lassi. The kulfi is authentic and reminded me of the local cart guy selling kulfi in Pakistan. They don't take reservations. First come, first serve. We waited about 30 mins for our table. Not bad. Worth the wait. Looking forward to to their weekend brunch on the next visit...or you can just take me with you. read more

Downright the best ethnic food we have had in the TriState area. My family and I were traveling from VA to NJ wnd came across this place - service was great, they accommodated us right at closing time. All the desi employees were super kind and inviting, they checked in frequently. Our order did get swapped with a neighboring table - which was upsetting as one of the main items (sajji pulao) was unable to be ordered again however i believe the guests were at fault for picking and choosing what they wanted to take from our order before saying it wasn't theirs. We enjoyed the tikka boti, charsi karahi, chapli kabob and chicken makhani. Naans we're fresh. Mojitos were okay (wouldn't recommend) but loved the faloodas. I do want to point out that good service goes a long way, it truly turned our experience around. Definitely recommend calling before going in, they were really busy. This was my first time at the place the food was amazing but the waitress was so busy not paying attention to us because she was worried about serving the large party tables that was a bit of a disappointment we had to ask the busboy for water because she wasn't paying attention to us when we called her. Even to get the check we had to go up to her after the third time to ask for the check even tho she acknowledged the first two times that she was bring the check but passed our table and kept forgetting. read more

Service was really good. Food was decent. Prices were fair. Unfortunately one food item was completely misleading and destroyed our appetite. Sajji was not Sajji at all. It was roasted chicken on plain brown rice. It was a insult to the word Sajji itself. So don't order tht. Other then tht it was a good family environment. After hearing a lot about this restaurant, I decided to give this place a try with some friends. We ordered the Peshawari Shinwari Karahi, chicken karahi, malai boti, chicken seekh kabab, beef bihari boti, and gol gappay. Both the peshawari karahi and chicken karahi were great. The malai boti was great. The chicken seekh kabab and beef bihari were okay. Overall the experience was great. Liked the decor. Also customer service was great. We did not have to wait long for the food. Will be back to try other menu items. Good luck to this new establishment. read more

A great authentic place for Halal Pakistani cuisine. The food was fresh and tasted great. We ordered a take out, so could not say much about the atmosphere inside. I would definitely advise for those who like to try new things and new flavors to give this a try. My friends showed me this place and said that they ate the best Pakistani food here. The portions were big and looked nice. I liked the level of spiciness, i think that was exactly what i wanted. To be honest i was kind of tired of plain food. We got our food quite quickly and it was hot. They also have a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The dishes are perfectly combined with each other. I plan to come in the future, because they completely amazed my tastes. read more

The halwa in the Mughal breakfast was a brighter red color than we are used to and toning down the color won't hurt but the taste is spot on. The potatoes in pickled curry (achar aaloo) was fresh and just the right amount of spicy We even tried the stuffed naan with ground chicken (keema) which was neither dry nor soaking in ghee (perfect!) Cute neighborhood and generally pedestrian friendly block. There is paid parking two blocks or so from the restaurant. The space is not very large but adequate and you don't feel crowded. The service is quiet, efficient and courteous. Good job guys !

Here these are in the form of cab drivers and delivery men who need sustenance and no froo froo cuisine. The gender neutral restroom is in my opinion the "Black hole of Calcutta." For men, it may be passable but for women absolutely verboten to enter. At a pinch, go to Kalustiyan where there is a restroom up the stairs. Ideally only should buy something before asking to powder one's nose. Service at Lahori is fine.

I tried the Jubani after the staff described it as a delicious light-roasted coffee packed with caffeine, but in reality, it tasted like bland cardamom water with absolutely no coffee flavor or body. It felt like I was just drinking hot spiced water. The atmosphere was also a major issue as there was no seating available whatsoever. The crowd was mostly of Middle Eastern descent and many were incredibly rude; people will bump right into you and not say a word. Even worse was the way some customers spoke to the workers, it was absolutely deplorable. Honestly, who raised you? It was uncomfortable to witness. The dessert selection was even worse. Most of what we ordered felt stale and old. The only thing worth eating was the bubble dessert with cheese because they actually toast it. We tried both the pistachio milk cake and the pistachio dream cake, and neither was impressive. The khattafi in the pistachio dream was the biggest letdown; it was so stale and bland I can't believe they actually put it out to sell when it was clearly weeks if not months old. The basboosa was also a disappointment, as it was a very small square of semolina cake for almost $5. Overall, It is not a good place for coffee or desserts, so if you do go, stick strictly to the Adeni chai.

Their website is really nice and colorful, as their food ( we learnt that later when we came). We liked the menu and decided to give it a try. Very clean, good cutlery. When we came in we were met very politely. The staff seemed to be happy to see us. The prices was okay. It was delicious, satisfying, and very friendly. The sauce was delicious. Very flavorful traditional cuisine is freshly made. The drinks were nice as well, and the portions was enough for two. I don't know about their food, but the host attitude was like I was a nuisance and he was bothered that I am there, very rudely he asked without looking at me if I have a reservation, which I said no, he let me wait for 5 minutes and then said we don't have a table for you, no smile or an apology for not accommodating us, their excuse was that you should've called us ahead and reserve table, I said it's not mentioned on your website. Dining out should be a pleasant experience not that you are humiliated in front of your wife with a rude HOST the guy didn't know the meaning of being host and someone put him there to HOST. We had a great time at the restaurant for lunch! Despite it being quite busy, the servers were incredibly attentive and kind, making sure everything was just right for us. We kicked things off with some chat and fried fish for appetizers. They were decent, but not my top choice. The servers recommended the Charsi goat karahi for our main course, and it was absolutely delicious. The naan was fresh and the malai boti was mouthwatering. The kids really enjoyed it too. I've been hearing about this place from family and friends all over and just dined here today. The waitress serving us, Nikki, was amazing and incredibly nice. The staff seemed very caring and helpful. The food itself was amazing! I haven't been to a traditional Pakistani restaurant with such nice service, seating area, and food. 3 of the 6 family members in my family are extremely picky everywhere we go and they enjoyed everything from the appetizers to dessert. The gosht palau was fantastic too. You've gotta try the chick Karahi-it's a must! I had a fantastic lamb kebab and about the best naan (with ground chicken baked in) I've had anywhere in the area. The service was friendly and efficient, even though the place was absolutely full of tables with large extended families. I've seen a couple of negative reviews about the service, but this restaurant is brand new, and with the crowds in the opening weeks I imagine it took a bit of time to get the service down pat. The best Pakistani restaurant in New Jersey. I came in on a busy Saturday with my family to enjoy a nice dinner inside a beautiful restaurant. The decor is stunning and the food is beyond amazing. I ordered Matka Gosht and my wife ordered Malai Boti. Both dishes were delicious and you can taste the fresh ingredients and authentic seasonings.
