Everything was fresh and delicious. Meat platters were so good. Mint lemonade was refreshing. The appetizer sampler is a must order. BYOB and they have a back patio area for hookah which is a great hang out spot.

Very tasty food! Had to circle the block to find parking but felt it was worth while. Fast service & quiet inside. We had the mixed platter for two & it was honestly enough for almost 3-4 people! Impressed with the amount you get for the price. Although everything was delicious, there was no sauce for anything except for some hot sauce. We did not like our pita bread grilled. It was rock hard. I would return but I'd have to ask for sauce or just order hummus.

I had been planning to come here for months when planning our trip out for my nieces wedding. Let me tell you. They did not disappoint! I got the sample platter with Baba Ghannoush, Lebne, and Hummus. It was so delicious! The best Baba Ghannoush I've ever had! The falafel was so perfect as well! I also got the fresh mint lemonade and it was so refreshing. Everything I tasted was heavenly!!! The service was wonderful as well. The restaurant itself was nice and cool too. Don't sleep on this one!

ordered the mix grilled platter and the tomato pan, everything was cooked well. Wish they had better pita but other than that would definitely recommend.

Best middle eastern food in Hudson County! Kebabs, shawarma, kufta, and steaks are on point! Rice flavorful and perfect compliment! Their hummus is AMMMMAZING!! literally smooth and buttery! Labne and babaganoush are heavenly compliments to these house made pita bread seasoned and full of herbs and onions! My absolute best is a special plate they occasionally make called Maklouba, which is flipped pot of rice eggplant potatoes and lamb!!! Don't miss out on this culinary gem!

Mint lemonade definitely recommend getting this!

New owners for real this time, not just changing names and still selling the crappy food they were serving, the food now is very very good, 100% better then the previous owners, they have a new menu with more items, I ordered the chicken shish kabob with brown Turkish rice, the chicken was seasoned just right and tender, very tasty, the Turkish brown was rice was delicious, it was the first time I tried it and loved it, also ordered some humus on the side, it was very fresh and creamy, can't give a bad review or complain, service was very good, definitely going back again, hopefully everything stays the same. Oh for desert I recommend the Kunefe, very delicious!

But the man serving customers at the counter (on a Sunday afternoon) was so: gentle, kind, polite, welcoming and respectful that he immediately put me at ease. I relaxed into this new environment. And I read their menu two or three times; then, I decided on a falafel gyro. It was only 9.99, which makes it really affordable for the UWS! Plus, I got to choose which veggies and sauces to put on it. I enjoyed that sense of agency with my food...I'm not a picky eater, just highly selective. : ) With that, he patiently assisted me in making a beautiful and colorful falafel gyro, which I enjoyed quite a lot. I even texted some of the following photos to my Dad, since I thought this dish looked so gorgeous! : ) My Dad agreed. Hehe ~ With that, this place's low key and friendly vibe paired with its inexpensive pricing (for what you're receiving), makes it a wonderful neighborhood attraction. The food was so delicious, and the location was so convenient! (It's just one street and an Avenue away from the 1 train at 96th.) It was good for maybe the first 3 or 4, so perhaps better ordered for larger groups. Shepherd Salad (APP, 4/5) - Fresh, bright(as in vinegar), and herbaceous, we added feta cheese to it and it was perfect balance to our entree. Kofte Kebab (MAIN, 4/5) - Not too dry with packed flavor of all the herbs & beef, I really enjoyed my dish. Went great with all the other accouterments such as slightly cinged wedge of tomato and onion slices, all frolicking on a bed of warm rice that had a nice bite. Adana Kebap (MAIN, 4/5) - My colleague had this one, and I tried a piece. It was juicy and had no hint of gaminess which is always a plus for lamb. 3. Service (3/5) - This being a mom & pop store, I think they're short on staff. Usually they're all in the back cooking, so you do need to be a bit patient to flag someone down. We ordered Gol Gappay, lamb biryani, Gosht Karahi, and a naan. The Gol Gappay was interesting. Crispy shells filled with chickpeas and potato, with a tangy, salty, savory flavor. Adding a little yogurt balanced it out nicely. Definitely something different. The lamb biryani was around the low teens price-wise and came in a huge portion with plenty of meat. The lamb was slightly dry -- felt like it may have been prepared earlier and kept warm -- but still flavorful and within expectations for the price. The standout for us was the Gosht Karahi. Tender but slightly chewy lamb, very savory and well seasoned, with lots of large chunks of meat. It looks a bit pricey at first, but considering how much meat you actually get, it felt like a solid value. We packed up half of it and still thought the leftovers were more generous than some restaurants' fresh servings. The naan was massive. Good flavor, although it didn't have that super fresh-out-of-the-tandoor smoky char. Funny enough, reheating it in the air fryer at home made it even better. One thing to know: every dish here runs large, so this place is better with a group. There are parking spots in front, but not many.

Inedible Signature Dish, Shockingly Unprofessional Service, and Zero Empathy…read more We visited this restaurant based on strong recommendations, hoping for a memorable family dinner. Unfortunately, after paying a $221 bill, this turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. While the karai was a redeeming bright spot, the signature nihari was completely disappointing--resembling a heavy, generic spicy curry rather than traditional nihari, and ultimately left uneaten. However, the food was secondary to the appalling level of service. In all our years of dining out, we have never witnessed staff physically clearing plates and food from a table while guests were still in the middle of eating. It is a fundamental breach of basic hospitality and respect. Compounding this, we were dining with our children, including a child with autism who was having a genuinely difficult moment. Given that management is reportedly well aware of these parenting challenges, the complete lack of patience, empathy, or professional grace from the staff was deeply disheartening. A $221 bill should at the very least guarantee a baseline standard of customer care and human decency. Regrettably, due to the total failure in service and professionalism, this was our first and last visit.

I had the gyro wrap, my wife had the chickpea salad with falafel, and both dishes were so on point they brought me right back to my time in Istanbul. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The wrap was balanced, not greasy, and the falafel had that perfect crisp-to-fluff ratio. But what really stood out? The person behind the counter. Not sure if he's the owner or just part of a family-run operation, but his energy was magnetic. He checked in with us--and with everyone who came through the door--like we were all regulars. Friendly without being overbearing, helpful without the upsell. He made the food taste even better, if that's possible. This spot has soul. It's the kind of place you return to not just because the food is excellent (it is), but because it feels good to be there. I'll be back very soon to try the kebabs, and when I do, expect a full deep dive--possibly with pictures, definitely with passion. 15/10 - must try. Strong BUY, erm, sry, not investing..
