Great location in an old warehouse with river views from the windows. I had Olivia style my hair in an updo. I showed her some pictures, and she was able to mix them all and make it gorgeous! It stayed up for the entire night! The bride went in early to practice her hair and makeup, so the day of there were no surprises. They helped attach her veil to her updo and show us how to remove it without ruining her hairstyle. All the stylists were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere for the morning of the Wedding day! Prices were very reasonable and fair for everything. If I lived closer this would be my go to spot for haircuts. I just got back from getting a Brazilian wax and an eyebrow tint with Susan. Can I just say she's AMAZING. I had a Brazilian wax a year ago from a fancy spa in Brookfield...(won't say the name but it rhymes with Chazana...) and I vowed I would NEVER do that again. My hubby talked me into it, and can I just say it was SO different from what I experienced????? Ok??? Susan was SO kind and understand and kept me talking the entire time. It only took about 15 minutes and was so much less painful than before. I couldn't believe she was done! She is SOOOO skilled that I'm already looking at the calendar to schedule my next one. KUDOS CHICKADEE! Also, the eyebrow tint was perfectly natural. Last time I got it done I looked like an Angry Bird. This time it was beautifully matched to my hair. SUSAN... YOU ROCK!! I have had Brazilian waxes at 3 or 4 different places and this was the absolute most painful and she just kept tearing off the strips and had the nerve to tell me that I am probably one of those people that shouldn't get these waxes done because of how painful I said she was. It was her, not me. I never had a wax that was this painful. Then when she was done, I just wanted to get out of there so I hopped of the table and started to change. She had the nerve to say, "can you at least wait until I leave the room?". Seriously!!?? She had no problem walking in on me while I was changing and had just seen the most private areas of my body and she now had a problem that I wanted to get my clothes on as quickly as possible. This was about 8 months ago and I'm still angry that I tipped her so well for 10 minutes of the worst pain ever. I wish I hadn't tipped at all. The appointment was March 18 2026 w Abby, who is an epic artist w polish application. She, unfortunately was on a long vacation when I went in a week ago concerned about the condition my nails were in as a result of the gel removal. I understand that everyone responds differently to any chemical treatment so I have no issue with Abby at all. However, my nails and clear polish applied after the paraffin started bubbling the same afternoon. I gave the benefit of the doubt thinking that it's something I can handle w an emery board and moisturizer. Nope nope nope. 3 weeks later my nails were shredding as soon as they breached the nail bed- they are weak, splitting painfully into the nail bed, keep shredding and need constant filing, clipping, etc. when I went in to ask how I could fix the issue, I was passed around to 3 people- none of whom were nail techs. They refunded $19-a random amount and not close to half of the cost. I was told by Madison in management that this is normal - and to use a product called Nail Envy. A week later, 34 days after the original appointment, my nails are still shredding and splitting. It is like acid was applied. The result is that I will not be able to get a manicure until the nails completely grow out - MONTHS from now. I know if Abby would have been present, she would have had better advice and would have repaired the nails to the best of her ability. Result - I spent $ for a manicure w paraffin so didn't cut corners, and will have hideous painful nails until they grow out. I'm upset that a nail tech wasn't available to advise, I was told I'd be called in a couple of days to see how things were and to get an informed answer, which didn't happen. I bought the Nail Envy strengthener and their cuticle oil as recommended by Grok(!). $36. I have had nothing but great experiences w Impressions until this debacle. I don't know what to do - management is inadequate for problem solving.
