We have driven past Lagarde numerous times. Saturday we finally decided to make reservation and stop by for dinner. Wow! So much better than I expected. We started off with grilled oysters. I didn't get to try them because my daughter was giving me sad puppies eyes and I gave her mine so they must have been good. For dinner my wife had the shrimp po boy, my daughter had the short rib sandwich, and I had the pan seared trout. All were perfectly seasoned and excellent. We will return. read more

Brunch was really good today! Nice patio weather & good fromosa's what more could you ask for besides good food lol...Lagarde didn't disappoint in either area. They had plenty of tables for dining outside. The mimosas were constantly flowing because we ordered bottomless and I will say they are not shy with the champagne which is exactly how I like my mimosas. For food I ordered the blackened salmon avocado toast with a side of tator tots. Everything was really good & filling. I will definitely be returning to try some of the other menu items. I so wanted to really love this place....first visit today. Sat at the bar on a busy Sunday afternoon - tried the Aviation cocktail, good. Noticed they had Murder Point oysters - 3 for a little starter. Downhill from here....Shrimp Po Boy - such a disappointment. Served undressed - why? Totally dry bread. Fries were decent. I ordered dinner today on-line and my food was available on-time and they delivered it to the care. I felt like I was back in NOLA with the delicious sauce served nicely on the side. I ordered a size of the cheesy grits which were rich, creamy, and thick like they should be. The bread was perfectly tasted and the shrimp were fried to a golden crisp perfection. There was ample parking in a private lot and I do believe they are also offering dine-in options in their dining room. I'm so glad they are in ATL, particularly in the Chamblee area. read more

She's the best and doesn't mind our group's shenanigans (especially on the weekends when bottomless mimosas are available )! We have visited here several times in the past year and every single visit we have had both incredible service and food/drinks. Graham is one of our favorite servers who is always on point and friendly. He truly is one of the best servers we have had! The kitchen never fails to impress us with amazing entrees, and we've always had a wonderful experience from the hostesses to bartenders, to servers. I dined at Lagarde on a Saturday (11/28) on their patio for brunch. They had live music and the weather was perfect (although they had heaters running for some tables upon request). There was a fair amount of diners, but not enough to where you couldn't social distance. They also have a large glass garage door that opens up to their patio to allow better air circulation. If this is something you are curious about I'd suggest giving them a call to ask about the door being open or the option to dine on the patio (weather permitting of course). Our table shared: * Deviled eggs (picture) * Oysters on the half shell * Shrimp Plancha I enjoyed the deviled eggs, but I'm a big deviled egg fan to begin with. The oysters and shrimp were tasty as well, and quite fresh. For my main course, I had the crispy pork belly which was delicious! The flavors went really well together and while the dish was rich, the portion was just the right size for me to finish being moderately hungry. I'd definitely recommend checking out Lagarde and calling ahead to find out if there are any accommodations that would make you feel more comfortable dining in. read more

Disappointed. This was our first time eating in the restaurant, having only ordered oyster po boys online in the past (which don't appear on the current menu, btw). The service was friendly, but the ambience / comfort was a bit lacking. Food-wise, the mussels with saffron tomato broth appetizer was tasty, but could have been better if it had been served with something other than the flavorless white french bread which comes with it. For an entree, I ordered the NOLA BBQ shrimp -- which was salty beyond belief and almost inedible. The cutlery, which did not include any spoons for the broth, was also very flimsy and cheap. Given this experience, and the fact that the fried oyster po boy is no longer offered, we will likely not be returning. read more

What a lovely spot! Lets start off with parking... plenty. There is a lot out front as well as a parking garage right behind it. We are definitely off to a good start. The girls and I came by on a Tuesday when they offer $1 oysters! YUMMY!! We also got the deviled eggs, jambalaya, and a few of their covid special drinks. Service was nice and friendly, decor was a modern rustic, and prices without the special was definitely affordable. Perfect for a date night or girls night out. I decided to try out a new restaurant for a Sunday brunch and decided on Lagarde. I am happy that I did! I was greeted by the hostess and sat outside on this nice fall Sunday. I decided to get the bottomless framosas and mimosas. My waitress kept my glass full and was very attentive. The mimosas and framosas had an excellent combination of champagne and organize juice which at other places they give more orange juice. This seems to be a popular option as other customers were ordering them as well. For food I ordered the shrimp and grits and my food came out quickly which was a plus. Love this place! My wife and I go fairly often as we live a walkable distance from it. Their brunch is always tasty, and we've started going for dinner more often of late, which is also delicious. Lagarde has good service, a nice patio, is kid / family friendly - and for that we have been back a couple of times. The food is so-so depending on what you get. I do not take pleasure in negative reviews - most of mine are positive. However, this was by far the saddest sandwich I have ever received. My pre-packaged hospital turkey sandwich was more enjoyable. The muffuletta was 60% cheese, 30% bread, 10% meat and olive spread. See photo. They should be embarrassed to have served that. The smashed potatoes are in no way, shape, or form smashed. They are roasted to the point of being slightly soft. read more

It was a little dark inside which makes it perfect for date night but not so great for pictures but let's be real we didn't come for the pictures we came for the food. I got the Maple glazed Salmon that comes with carrots and brussel sprouts and my friend got the shrimp and grits. Both were very good but we both liked the salmon the best. I will say I was confused when she asked if I want my salmon medium or well done. She suggested we get it cooked medium so we went with that. It was the perfect choice..it was soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. It was like a melt in your mouth type of meal. I will give their service 10 out of ten because they were constantly checking to see if we needed anything but also not bothering us if they could tell we didn't need anything. The only bad thing was that there were crumbs in my seat but the cleanliness overall was good so I wasn't too worried about it. read more

A HUGE disappointment! There is NO WAY chef Jamie Adams parents from Louisiana would have liked ANYTHING about this meal. I ordered the Corvina special. It was mediocre for $34 and didn't even taste fresh because it was rubbed in too much Louisiana spice for such a sublime fish. Had a glass of the Grandial Rose. It was flat, but tasty so I didn't send it back but told the waitress. When I ordered the second glass, WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST OPEN ANOTHER BOTTLE? I asked about it and the waitress said some yada yada about the "cork". The bottle itself costs less than $15 and they charged me $9.50 per glass I didn't want to be a pain, expecting high quality from this overpriced "Sports Bar", so I let it go. Even had the nerve to try the $11 Creme Brulee with a glass of Red Zin, because that is ALWAYS good... it was HORRIBLE! The custard was too sweet and could you believe the sugar crystals were still in big cubes on top!?! It was inedible. I sent that back, but the replacement was still not good quality... I'd gone there the first time, to enjoy myself after buying a car in Chamblee. I ate badly, and tipped well anyway! It was $110 I just wish I could get back to take to a REAL RESTAURANT, where the food is AMAZING and worth the higher prices. Too many places in Atlanta claim a big name and charge Top Chef prices for a much lower quality of ingredients assembled by a culinary student. I can't. read more

We had a really good meal and excellent service during our dinner at Lagarde. I'd like to give a shout out to our server Naomi who was absolutely on point. I drink a ton of water and she kept my glass full the whole night. Also, the GM Doug was really great. They were out of the normal cheese spread that went with their beets appetizer and he came out to speak with us to see what we wanted to do. He came up with a creative solution using another cheese and we loved it. You can tell he really cares about the customer experience. Him and Naomi both. Five stars for these guys. Grits were cold. Shrimp were fishy and needed seasoning, and I wish there had been a warning about heads being on. We had priority-seating reservations noting our celebratory date night, but we were seated right next to a loud, large party celebrating a birthday. The restaurant seemed totally unprepared for my gluten allergy, which is shocking to me these days. The server had to go back to the kitchen to have a conversation with the chef about it, and came back with handwritten notes on a pad of paper stating about 5 menu items I could choose between. When I questioned why the cheesy grits were not on that gluten-free list, she went back and asked and it turned out they were. So what they told her originally wasn't even correct. But even worse, after all of that (the server and chef being aware of my allergy), my barbeque shrimp were served with bread on the plate which was touching the shrimp. Won't be back. read more

A friend and I popped in for brunch over the weekend and the food was so good that I ate it before I could take more pictures. We ordered oysters and shrimp and I would highly recommend both. Both items were well seasoned and full of flavor. We had Cajun fries which came out hot and crispy! And then for dessert, we ordered bread pudding and it was phenomenal! I was so excited to try this new place out- especially after seeing pictures of classic New Orleans' fare to the table. Lagarde is in a great location of Brookhaven, plenty of parking spaces with other restaurants and businesses in walking distance. The interior is clean and has lots of windows so I can see it being a nice place to hang out and grab a drink when it gets warmer. The server was attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu. We ordered quite a bit of food to try accompanied by drinks! The hits: raw half shell Bluepoint oysters (fresh!), daube (sauce was great and brisket was tender), maque choux (corn was peppery and sweet), and the sweet tea brined chicken thighs (first time I've had de-boned chicken thighs, not bad by itself because I avoided the tomato sauce). The hush puppies, deviled eggs, shrimp, pimento totchos tasted ordinary, I probably would not order these again. We also had the grilled oysters which is what we originally came for, but it was covered in a lot bread crumbs and lacked the flavor that you would find in a New Orleans chargrilled oyster. In the end, I wasn't satisfied nor disappointed since I know it is a new business. It's worth a try! read more

This restaurant is beautiful! The service was great. We got shrimp étouffée, jambalaya, the trout, and their special burger. The trout was on the healthier side, it was great. My shrimp etouffee was really good, but my dirty rice on the side was over cooked so they had hard pieces of rice. The jambalaya was flavorful and the burger as well. My husband and I are here probably 2-3 times a month! The food is always really good, service is nice, and prices are on par. We love the atmosphere-we always choose the patio when weather is nice. It has great view of the ball field, outside is dog friendly and sometimes they have live music. The Saturday/Sunday brunch special on mimosas is awesome! Our go-tos for food are the deviled eggs (they usually have a special variety) and the chicken sandwich. But the brisket, shrimp, and burger are really good too!
