Amazing service delicious and great food wonderful ambience. I'm very satisfying. My first time experience. I'm amazed.

Horrible food. Ordered a squid salad and it was horrible tasted like it was expired. Plus the prices are overpriced.

No bread for my table but for others yes?? And obligated tip just for two people!! Come on really??? I've been to various restaurants during the pandemic and this the first restaurant that mandates a tip for your table for two!!! Food was good but not good enough to come back and try other menu items. Next!! read more

Stars for the service, food is offensive. I gave it a second chance, my last. The bread although warm, it must have been re-heated several times, hard as a rock. Chicken Estoril, tasted as if they placed the unseasoned filets in a microwave and camouflaged it with a pedestrian sauce. Service however was pleasant and professional. read more

My boss, co-worker, and I came her for our holiday dinner. We sat in the dining room side which was nicely decorated, toasty, and accompanied by wonderful fumes. The waiters are all very attentive and very kind. The food itself is pretty subpar Portuguese food. Nothing outstanding in flavor or preparation. I didn't care for the house fries at all, very dull in my opinion. However the olives were divine. The sangria, though tasty, lacked in alcohol presents. I ordered the shrimp scampi which was was actually shrimp alfredo, and it was pretty standard, nice creaminess and great salt and parsley presence. What I did enjoy best, was the portion size. If your taste are more picky or plain, I would recommend this restaurant to you. read more

It gets 3 stars for the service.. however the food is subpar.. ordered the stuffed salmon with crab, Spanish fries and yellow rice. The salmon was not stuffed it just has crab meat packed on top like it came out of a can and they molded it to fit the top of the salmon. In addition the salmon was undercooked and the rice was overcooked! Ordered a bottle of Malbec.. that was the only thing I could ingest. But the bottle was reasonably priced.. oh the Spanish fries were little discs that were cold and lacked flavor! The price of this dish was $30.. not worth it! First and last time here! You live and learn! read more

Omg don't even know where to start. Went on a Friday night to order a paella (seafood) to go. While waiting ny husband and I ordered a Pitcher of sangria. The most disgusting sangria. It was orange juice with a splash of wine. We thought bc we are used to good sangria from Newark that wasn't good. But then 2 more tables were complaining about their sangrías too,so it wasn't just us. The lady who was making it had not clue what she was making. On top of that we waited for 2 hours for my paella(seafood)..... We finally came home and our big surprise was... they gave us a paella with meat instead of seafood. I ended up making pasta with butter since I don't eat meat. We are definitely not going back to that awful place. It was a waste of ny time and money. Totally disappointed. Thumbs down. I giving one star only because I needed in order to write my comment. read more

Went to this location today and order a drink with my Gf and it was not to my liking and i asked the waitress to change it after only tasting the drink to realize it wasn't what I ordered. She went and got manager and he advised We would need to pay for that drink. I advised it was the incorrect drink and I never drank from it. The manager became irate and irrational and stated he would call the police. I've never felt so uncomfortable and afraid. He began to gather our belongs and requesting us to leave. I advised i had been kicked out of better places. I would never return to this location again the manager was so hostile and rude! read more

My favorite local Portuguese bar!! From the bar to the restaurant side you have best of both worlds here if you want to hang out with the friend grab some drinks and even play some pool their bar it's the perfect place and if you want to bring the family enjoy some time with them right over to the the back they have two dinning room to choose from. Food was excellent service even better. Best sangria in the tri state.!!! Excellent wine list if you like Portuguese wine!!! read more

Don't go to there!!! I ordered stake medium term. I got a reheated last night prepared stake. It was dry and tasted horrible!!! The fries were also cold and the server didn't care enough to ask if something was wrong. Don't go there!! read more

I am giving this 1 star because I can't give it a zero. The service here was HORRIBLE. We waited 20 minutes for someone to even come and check up on us. I ordered the filet mignon, and asked for it medium rare. First time it comes, it was well done. I asked them to redo it because it was expensive. Next time it comes out, it was RAW. I probably would have gotten sick if I have eaten that. Third and final time it comes. STILL RAW. We asked the manager about it and he gave us our money back. Horrible experience, never coming back. Worst place I have ever eaten at in all my years of eating. When they took it off the bull, they asked for my leftovers back!!!!! RIDICULOUS! read more

Where to begin. Was here for a baby shower. Some of the issues could've been solved with the party planner doing a better job. Party arrival 1 Tables set and soup served 2:30 As a portuguese person I feel qualified to review a portuguese restaraunt. Soup - flavorless. Needed salt. No salt anywhere to be found 30 minutes after soup buffet. Nothin spectacular here. One item serves was very large cheese ravioli. Very dry. Portuguese people don't make ravioli so I am sure was from frozen. Best part was the 'salgados'. The codfish balls and meat patties and shrimp patties The codfish dish was so so. The garlic shrimp needed more garlic The tomato mozz salad was delish but normally people add basil. None found. Chicken nuggets for kids were overcrowd. Breading was dark. Could be old oil. Chicken Francese was very good. Desert was eh. The chocolate mousse you could tell wasn't mixed well. I could taste the undissolved sugar The creme brûlée could've used a few more minutes in the fridge to set and definitely more time to set up caramel top. Service. They were very nice but you can't have 3 waiters and a manager serving 2 parties of 40. read more

I've had better. Went there with 2 dining companions, Carmela and Lizzie, for lunch during the week. We were the only customers so to me that's not a good sign. I had the flounder stuffed with crab meat. Three good size pieces served with over-cooked vegetables. Not great. Not bad. Carmela had the shrimp in garlic, she ate about 6 shrimp and pushed her plate aside. Lizzie had chicken smothered in brown sauce and said the Portuguese potatoes were stale. Personally, I never trust any dish smothered in brown sauce. The gals split a chocolate mousse layer cake. Both agreed it tasted like it had been frozen. I went for the homemade flan and it was delicious. We finished the pitcher of wine sangria. Better than most but not great. Personally, I'd skip this place as there are far too many other good restaurants looking for business. read more

Just OK. When you charge $24 plus for a dinner entree and it comes with instant mash potatoes, your customers will be disappointed. The mashed potatoes at Applebee's is better which is scary. Sangria was good and the staff was very nice. read more

If you like massive amounts of MSG in your food, mushy stuffed mushrooms, frozen pre-made clams casino, stale bread, weird waiters, crappy sangria and drunks loudly singing bad Aerosmith songs, this is the place for you. There should be a seperate entrance for the dining room so you don't have to walk through drunk idiots screaming and dancing and blocking the exit door. The dining room we sat in had 9 tables (including the screaming baby table) amd 3 HUGE TV screens, not exactly a pleasant dining room. My friend and I both got sick from all of the MSG in the food. The mushrooms were cold and mushy, the clams were so obviously Sysco frozen clams and the bread was totally stale. And the Sangria was just horrible. read more

I went here tonight with my sister in law for her birthday and it was very good. I had paella and she had lamb chops. She ordered them medium rare but they were little more cooked but she said they were excellent. My paella was good. The service was a little slow but it was the waiters first day. Olives in garlic were to die for. I went here because of a Living Social deal and the food was super reasonably priced and the portions were generous. The sangria was awesome and everyone was friendly. The dining room had many people and there was a party in the next room. I will definitely go back. read more

Hey guys have been here many times w great results,My wife and I stopped in last Saturday night and we were greatly disappointed she ordered skirt steak medium well came out raw w membrane still on it,I ordered beef short rib while tasty it was cold to the touch,We advised the waitress whom stated the restaurant was sold and we have new cooks and higher prices and you are not the first to complain,I'll get u the manager. He arrived and apologized and asked my wife and I if we Would like another entree we both said no as we were so disappointed. The waitresses then brought the bill and said the restaurant was brought by a corporation of the Seabras group. The only thing I thought of was don't mess with success this was a great restaurant why change very disappointed!!! read more

six of us went for dinner today and the food was delicious! We had the chicken and rice, pork medalions and the steak and shrimp dinners. The chicken and rice was plentiful and tasty, the other dinners came with white rice, savory vegetables and homemade potato chips. All the meats were well cooked, juicy and nicely seasoned. The dessert came out before the cappuccino, which were tepid. The serradura dessert was nice, the flan wasn't sweet enough and the rice pudding had an odd taste. So we decided we would eat there again but go elsewhere for dessert and coffee. read more

Went here for weekday lunch with a couple girlfriends. Red wine sangria pitcher with fruit pieces was tasty. Crab cake is not a patty at all. It's a bunch of small little crab balls the size of marbles. The buffalo wings had some whitish sauce (not blue cheese) drizzled on them, no hot sauce or buffalo sauce. I found it strange and saved it for home. The shrimp with rice was very good. Prices were fair. read more

I've eaten here on a few occasions and must say that the food and portions were very good.. Whether it be in the bar area or the dining room. My only complaint was when I attended a party in the big dining room, the food came out room temperature/cold, and the kitchen/waiters couldn't keep up with the buffet style dinner that was chosen for that party of maybe 50-60 people -- they kept running out of food and had people waiting for the trays to be brought out. Hopefully as time goes on, they'll gain experience in that area. read more

I had my baby shower back in June 2017 and I didn't like how they changed our price due to a different manager there and they kept rushing us out of the hall when we weren't done yet. I understand there was a time frame but guests arrived late. Also, we never got a receipt of our shower and when I emailed them about it and called, they kept telling us they'll send it. But never happened. Won't go there again. read more

I would give zero stars if the option allowed. Upon entering the establishment, the energy was off and everyone appeared too busy to greet us. The capacity was about 25% full in the outside seating area. Still trying to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and also curious about the place (ideal outdoor seating during the pandemic) , we stayed which I regret. We finally got someone's attention and sat down. The server seemed annoyed the moment he set eyes on us and during questioning even walking away mid sentence but we called him back to order our drinks and the server was visibly annoyed we had not ordered a meal right away. From his rudeness of are we eating or no rushing us to answer, we declined to order a meal but ordered drinks another regret (should have walked out). The server kept pacing around our table appearing more frustrated removing the bread that was dropped off which I've never experienced ever, but ignored the action, within 10-15 mins of drinking (did not even finish my drink) he drops the bill. I sarcastically asked if he was kicking us out. Basically among many things such as we are taking up space (at an empty seating area) from his actions and his approach towards us he said we did not order food and said we are taking up space. I was beside myself with the blatant disrespect. I made it very clear I will never come to this establishment or recommend anyone else.  DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

Came here for Father's Day lunch. Had reservations for 1:30. We ordered calamari and chorico for appetizers. The chorico was very good, but the calamari was over done and chewy. I ordered veal estoril for my entree. It came with rice and fried potatoes and vegetable medley. I was suspicious when it was served because it didn't look like veal, but since it was breaded and with a brown gravy I wasn't sure. When I cut into the "veal" it had the texture of chicken. And I confirmed it was chicken when I took my first bite. Very disappointing because the flavors were actually quite good. I went ahead and ate because I was starving after waiting almost 2 hours before being served. Sorry to say I won't be returning here anytime soon. read more

Food is Good, but Service is Slow My experience here was the same as most of the other reviewers. The bar gets most of the attention. They seated us in the restaurant area, and there was one server for 20 tables. There was no way he could keep up. They seated us in the back, which was worse, because he rarely came that far from the front of the restaurant. Most of the time, I had to stand up, and wave my hands over my head back and forth until he saw me. The owner came out and apologized, and left a bottle of something-grappa, or something like it, for us to drink while they caught up. The drink was like paint thinner, and not too drinkable. As far as the food, the chorizo is a nice presentation, which they light on fire at the table. The calamari is some of the best I have had in years-rings only, lightly breaded, and very tender. You couldn't make it better. The prices are extremely good. I think there were only one or two dishes over $ 19. For the meals, the paella was separated into the rice in one dish, and the seafood in another. Not great. The shrimp stuffed with crabmeat was excellent! The T-bone was good, but instead of coming out medium rare, it was closer to raw, but edible. For desserts, only a few were made on premises. The carrot cake, though not made on site, was excellent. The coconut sorbet was OK to good. But, the chocolate concoction that was a specialty was awful. We wanted to try something different, and it certainly was. It had that dark burnt chocolate taste, which none of us cared for. All in all, a C+ to a B-. Hints to my followers: Sit up front, or you will never get service. The drinks are poured strong, so be aware. I think the fish is their specialty, from whole fish, to fillets read more

I came here for lunch. They have a decent lunch special. The prepared food was really good. However, I will never go back for sanitary reasons. I sat at bar and watched bartender recycle the bread that was given from one customer to the next. I mentioned this to a friend and they told me that the complimentary olives that they give, he found a pit in his day before my visit. So yes, they recycle bread and olives, no telling what they do to food in kitchen. read more
