Beautiful pastry spot showcasing East Asian flavors. I went for the pistachio raspberry crepe cake which was one of the few items that was more western. The crepe cake was very soft and definitely rivaled lady m. I absolutely loved the balance of flavors with the pistachio and raspberry. And it wasn't too sweet. Would absolutely recommend.

Really friendly place with a handful of seats. Small inside so mostly for takeaway. Their pandan nian jian was really good- super bouncy like mochi. Like this a lot. Passion fruit slice- didn't like this. Felt it was a bit bland and too much cream. Friend liked it. I wished there was more flavor punch. I noticed the more it thawed, the better the flavor got, so maybe it's best to wait after they serve it to eat. The chocolate cake is great if you want a very chocolatey flavor.

I LOVE KUIH!! The staff are always so welcoming and willing to answer any questions you may have. I've been here multiple times now, and I am never disappointment. They have a wide selection of kuih, nian go, cakes, and pastries. My favorite is their Talam Pandan. It has such a delicate balance of coconut and pandan with the perfect jello texture--just so refreshing. Their Pandan/Ube Serimanka and Ube Nian Gao are good too, but not super strong Ube flavor in my opinion. The Pandan Nian Gao is dense (like the Ube one), but I like this flavor more. The Mango Sticky Rice Tart is a popular treat and well loved. It's not super sweet, and beautifully made, but it didn't rlly reminisce of mango sticky rice though. The Brown Butter Carrot Cake is soft and moist, but the icing was not super soft and didn't really get any brown butter flavor. They also have a wide selection of drinks, and I enjoy their Calamansi drink. Very refreshing on a hot day! Overall, love this pastry shop. High quality ingredients, and everything is made with intentionality and care.

Im a veteran at lady wong for now, the cakes are incredible. Im so happy they exist and provide the flavors im looking for. Move over chocolate and vanilla-- heres lychee rose. It reminds me of trader joes raspberry vanilla ice cream bars and when i took the first bite I was floored. South east asian flavor cakes are insanely good and I don't mind paying the price because its super worth investing in this place . In my opinion, lychee rose is a bit better than the calamansi passionfruit cake as the coconut icing on that cake is too thick. However no flavor disappoints in either, and truly cater to high quality.

Food: I tried the mango sticky rice tart which was delicious. It was on the sweeter side for an Asian dessert, but flavors were still nice. This place offers very traditional and modern Southeast Asian desserts. Most desserts are traditional flavors including pandan, ube, mango, and durian. There are a variety of rice cakes (nian gao), crepe cakes, and tarts. Desserts are unique and ones you can't find easily in NYC. It reminds me of being in Singapore and Thailand. I enjoyed this place and would definitely return. Service: Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Ambiance: The shop is small with about six seats total and two seats outdoors. Decor and ambiance is very elegant and nice. A beautiful shop! Overall, I would highly recommend this dessert shop.

Definitely a different bakery experience! We haven't seen the flavors showcased here very frequently, like pandan. We got three of their dome pastries and my parents got two of the rice cakes. It was a small storefront in East Village but they do have some seating available but definitely not a place where you can chit chat and hang out for an extended period of time or study with your laptop in. We were served very quickly as we were the only ones and we got our pick of the desserts! Would definitely come back to try more of the cakes.

I came by in the evening and there was still a solid amount of dessert options available. I was happy but also had a hard time choosing. In the end I went with a Black Sesame Passionfruit dessert and Baked Pandan Rice Cake (Nian Gao). Both are amazing. Not too sweet with careful attention to texture and details. Black sesame dessert was SO GOOD.. creamy mousse, crunchy biscuit and fruity inner caramel. The pandan rice cake was chewy with a perfect crisped edge. I chatted with the person behind the counter about full size cakes. And they mentioned they're released at night/early morning so if you're looking for a specific flavor cake, check their website first thing in the morning. It's a chance! Can't wait to get the full size:)

Delicious cakes and kuih! Every single cake is so delicious. Matcha pandan tart had a good mix of both matcha and pandan. Very surprised how the flavors mixed so well and it tasted so refreshing. Definitely unique as I've not had this flavor before. Black sesame and passion fruit had both earthy nutty flavor from black sesame, and then a good citrus tart flavor from passion fruit. Passion fruit and calamansi cake was light, fluffy and fruity delicious. The kuih was good. The custard was so soft and smooth, while the non custard kuih was smooth, just the right chewy texture and not overly sweet. Wonderful. Open one in the West Coast? San Francisco?

A Christmas party without a yule log is incomplete. Among the numerous yule log options in NYC, I chose Lady Wong's chestnut Bûche de Noël. Lady Wong is a patisserie celebrating Southeast Asian flavors. Their cakes are artfully blended with French techniques and aesthetics. I always appreciate the elegant design of their cakes. *Chestnut Bûche de Noël $69.88 This yule log was a beautiful work of art. It looked elegant with the edible snowflake candies and velvety cream piping. Under the thick and creamy vanilla mousse, it revealed a delicate center of chestnut filling and earl grey compote. Underneath it was a crunchy chestnut biscuit. I wished the it had a higher ratio of chestnut cremeux, but overall the flavors were unique and harmonious altogether. Sadly this cake is no longer available, but make sure to keep an eye of their seasonal drops.

Small shop, limited seatings, and simple decor. There was only one person manning the store but he did a great job at handling customers and the phone, very friendly as well. We got the ube blueberry cake and matcha pandan mille crepe to eat inside the store. Both were very delicious, the Asian French fusion is unexpectedly refreshing and added complexity to the already iconic pastry items. Will be returning to try more of their offerings and possibly order a whole cake for a special occasion.

I got the Pandan matcha tart and really enjoyed it! It was also quite different than what I imagined. It was expecting it to be a bit sour but it turned out to be sweet. I was also expecting the bottom to be crunchy, but it was soft! The dessert was a pleasant surprise

Tiny store front tucked away on one of the East Village food streets. Clean & upscale feeling vibe. A few tables inside the tiny space, if you'd like to enjoy your dessert in house. Pretty & tasty desserts. We got $12 Mont Blanc chestnut crepe cake slice, $9.28 black sesame passion fruit pastry and $9.28 Ube blackberry pastry. Stunning presentation. Delicate flavors--for everything we tried. Appreciated how very light and not sweet all the pieces were. We enjoyed and did not feel heavy or disgusted with ourselves afterwards. Skip the chestnut crepe cake--it was the simplest flavor profile of all and you can get something like that at many other dessert spots. The black sesame and ube blackberry pieces were unique and worth trying. Appreciated the delicate flavor profiles. Very light textures and satisfying bites--quality dessert. No restrooms indoors.

It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped.
