Expect expensive, luxurious chocolates at this location that's larger than others I've been to. They have a greater selection here including gift boxes, seasonal items, chocolate bars, and more. I love their Easter items (bunnies, chicks, and eggs in a carton). Their products are pricey, even the smaller items so if you're going to splurge, sometimes it makes sense to get a bag or box of chocolate rather than one or two small pieces. This place is a chocolate lovers dream land! Something about Swiss chocolate is just heavenly. I love that they allow samples of all their treats. My favorite is the sheets of chocolate. They have so many to choose from. The milk chocolate hazelnut was my fav. They will break as much or as little as u like off and put in bags to weigh by the pound. Warning they are expensive so be mindful how much u want to weigh. My hand size piece came to $17 dollars!!!!! They also have truffles and small individually wrapped squares. I closed my eyes and woke up in the Swiss Alps, only everything was made of the most delicious chocolate. This confectionery, located inside the American Dream Mall is truly a dream. I was visiting the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Saturday to ice skate. They have a beautiful rink and in the morning hours not too crowded. I was just at Läderach at American Dream Mall this morning. First of all, what an amazing boutique! I have been to some of the other stores and this one is at least triple the size of any of the others! It's amazing. Val helped me put together presents for the people at my agency, and she was just as amazing! She helped me choose very special chocolates and put special ribbons on each of them. She also gave me what I needed to bag them up very beautifully. I never had a Läderach person be more helpful! They have very unique and a wide range of chocolates, and Val couldn't have been any more special, as well. I will definitely be back! read more

This location was definitely more retail and sold many packaged items and different types of their Swiss chocolate. At the current time it was busy and there was a line to purchase the chocolate. Laderach has very good chocolate with many containing fruits and nuts which are delicious. Their quality is good and prices are even better. This shop is easy to find in the American Dream mall and is surrounded by other stores that you can browse. I highly recommend visiting at least one of their locations. I was almost afraid to stop in, the chunky slabs of chocolate in the window looked so dangerous. I went in anyway. So happy I did. It's an upscale chocolate shop set up as if displaying jewelry. Streamlined shelves lined the space with pretty cellophaned packages of goodies in all shapes and sizes. I looked every wall up and down in awe while salivating, imagining putting a piece of that dark chocolate on my tongue and letting it slowly melt. Problem is, I had just eaten a huge meal. Then I saw the spinning tiers of tiny bon bons. I could manage a couple! I ordered one dark and one white chocolate ball. The kind gentleman helping me said I'm welcome to both as samples. My heart clenched. So sweet! You made my day. Next time I'm going to skip lunch and get one of those variety boxes. Or a slab of white chocolate strawberry bliss. This is a beautiful chocolate shop at the American Dream mall. Their chocolate is so smooth and rich it is definitely pricey but if you want cheap go to the supermarket. Seasonal treats like the Easter bunnies, eggs, etc. are here now, but I don't know if they will discount them or just take them off display after Easter. You have an area where you can choose from several choices of chocolate bark with fruits or nuts, in any portion- you just ask the server which type and how big a chunk. Or you can get a prepackaged bag of any variety of chocolate bark. You can get a freebee by just walking in your choice of any of the truffles, or other filled chocolates. High end Swiss chocolate shop. Bought some of those cutting board looking chocolate that costs about $11 for a quarter pound. They let you sample flavors so you get what you really like. I tried the strawberry curd flavor which they explained what the curd was but it sounded complicated. Staff is very friendly and able to answer questions well. read more
