Stopped by this bakery to get cupcakes for a birthday. I was excited to find a local bakery in Secaucus with great reviews but the cupcakes were not as tasty as expected. The chocolate frosting was a little off and the cupcake base tasted stale. Maybe I came on an off day but I was disappointed with my purchase. read more

I am BLOWN AWAY at how amazing these custom baby shower cookie order came out. Seriously 11/10. I gave Gina a Pinterest picture as inspo and let her do her thing. Not only were the cookies beautiful, but they were so tasty too! They were the perfect favor at my best friend's baby shower, and I highly recommend ordering from sweet & flour for your custom baked good needs. I also asked for a last minute increase in the size of my order from 50 cookies to 75 cookies and Gina was able to get it done perfectly. read more

Sweet and Flour is your one-stop shop for amazing baked goods packed with flavor and love. Gina does amazing work with her bakery and I am continually impressed by how consistently great the food is here. Food: we have had two custom cakes made here (one for my birthday and one for my wife's bridal shower) that came out AMAZING. Their day to day foods are incredible and my wife especially loves the coffee. Service: with the changes in COVID they normally drop it off outside, but they are often smiling even before the pandemic and are super nice. Aesthetic: adorable inside with a nice display case and tons of nicknacks on the wall. read more

Secaucus is one of those areas that I always hear about but don't spend a lot of time. It is a very small bakery that has a few different treats. The choc chip cookies, sprinkle cookies, and brownies all looked delicious. It is a local corner bakery in residential neighborhood and I always like to support those businesses. Yum! I saw the good reviews for this place, and I couldn't resist. It lives up to expectations! It's in a residential area, which I thought was a little strange. It seems out all by itself, but at least it's neighborhood quality means no meters and plenty of parking nearby. It's a pretty small bakery compared to some I've seen, so the selection is somewhat small, but they still have some good variety. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted and got a mini cannoli ($1.50), a s'mores cookie ($1.50) and a pineapple and cheese pastry ($3) which I thought was a turnover but rang up as a danish. The prices were really reasonable and they accept credit cards. She asked if I wanted powdered sugar on the cannoli. Um...yes please! The mini cannoli was nice and crunchy with a sweet creamy filling. The pineapple pastry was very flakey, with more pineapple at the ends but a surprisingly sweet nice mix with cheese flavor in the middle. The s'mores cookie I didn't get to until the next day and was worried it might be hard. WRONG. It was super moist and with a glass of milk was heaven with any bite. So despite the somewhat strange location, they have amazing sweets. If I were ordering a cake for an occasion, I would start here. read more

Got my sons wedding cake there strawberries and cream filling. Another for my daughter in law getting her green card, funfetti cake with chocolate mousse. Both were delicious. We also had her cake pops at the wedding. Would recommend highly. read more

A 2 star on execution. The taste of treats here are good, however I'm so disappointed to write this but I'm also extremely frustrated that my baby shower is reined pastry wise. I gave an example teddy bear cake for her to follow those exact colors and what she gave me is soo off color wise it would just look retarded to sit her pastries next to my cake. The pastries I placed with her ( cupcakes, cake pops and pretzels) were supposed to match this cake and you can clearly see , either she didn't look back on my cake picture ( the guide) or maybe she doesn't see color well I really don't know what happened. My cake was sage green. Mauve, cream, and baby pink. Idk where she pulled these colors from bc there there pretty much no pink on anything. And everything looks like it's for a Green baby shower. I love this place. The interior decor is very cute, bright and open. They change the decor a bit based on the different holidays I absolutely LOOOVEEE the red velvet mini cupcakes. The icing is delicious. The staff are very friendly as well. I do however wish they had more flavor variety of cupcake. Amazing bakery! I first found out about them through a fundraiser and I now look forward to that fundraiser every year. Each pie I've tried is outstanding (if you're a fan of coconut, you HAVE to get the coconut cream pie), loaves are amazing, and the cake pops are out of this world! Typically with fancy bakeries, you have to choose if you want your product to look good or taste good, but you do not have to worry about that with Sweet and Flour! They have amazing creations and everything outstanding. Your guests will rave about these treats for weeks! read more

They made a wonderful canoli cake for mg friends birthday on last minute notice. Was big and delicous...and beautiful! It wasn't those overly sweet kind of cakes too. A balance of the fresh canoli cream in between vanilla and chocolate cake. I ate much of it...yum. My friend was so stoked. I have driven past this place a million times and have only had their pastries once before and loved them! On my first visit I tried their mini cupcakes which are as delicious as they are adorable. However this time I ordered a birthday cake for my fiance. They were very helpful during the ordering process over the phone, I'm very indecisive and just wanted it to look good. Since they were booked up when I called to order they only offered a simple buttercream cake which was fine by me since it was just for the two of us. They offer cookie crumbs, gold dust, strawberry, chocolate drizzle, you have the choice of a more rustic finish or more polished finish for the outside buttercream. I opted for a 6 inch vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream, the strawberry, chocolate drizzle and rustic style buttercream for his cake to keep it simple. They also wrote "Happy Birthday Neil" on the top in very beautiful writing. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the look of the cake! Not only was the cake beautiful it tasted AMAZING! My mom is a pastry chef so I have had my fair share buttercream frosting and I can truly say this is some of the best I have had. I hate when places say its real buttercream and its so fake, but not here. The buttercream was perfect, not too sweet but also very flavorful and went perfectly with the vanilla cake. The cake itself was very moist and fluffy and tasted amazing. In my opinion, if you are looking for a local bakery for a birthday cake of a just a sweet treat, this is the place to come! read more

I called Sweet and Flour last minute for a "little man" mustache cake for my sisters baby shower. They were the most accommodating and most helpful bakery. They made the most beautiful cake for the shower I could not have been happier. They cake was absolutely delicious! They had the best customer service! I called them last minute as plans for another cake fell through, so less than two weeks before the shower I was scrambling for a cake. Most of the other bakeries I had called were either unable to make the cake due to time constraints - or wanted to compromise the design. When I found Sweet and Flour they exceeded everything I could have imagined. They were beyond accommodating and made a cake that was more than anything I could have imagined. It was also the most delicious cake eve! I chose a funfetti layer as well as a chocolate and vanilla layer! The chocolate cake was my personal favorite and was so moist! All the flavors were amazing. Sweet and Flour is full of deliciousness and exceptional service! I found the bakery through Yelp and am so glad I chose it for our gender reveal cake. Gina and Dilion were so easy going and pleasant to work with. I wasn't sure how this all works when it comes to a gender reveal cake, but Gina and Dilion made it as simple as possible and made us a beautiful cake working their magic. We're from Chicago and my husband is working in New Jersey. My girls and I were going to be in town for hubbys birthday, and I wanted to surprise him with a cake. I found Sweet and Flour here on Yelp, and am I glad I did!! I went in a couple of days before to order and had excellent customer service. I purchased some chocolate chip cookies and a couple of cake pops, and according to my family, they were really good. Hubby said the cookies were really good...almost cake-like...my girls loved the cake pops. The cheesecake (dulce deleche) was so smooth and not overly sweet. If I ever had the need for a bakery in Jersey again, I'd return in a heart beat.....And to all of you lucky people who live near here....go here, and go often!!!!! read more

Nice little corner bakery. Inside is nicely decorated. Chocolate chip cookie (4.5) was very good. Not too thick or too thin, just right. The banana bread (4) was also very good although it was darker then what I'm used to seeing. Then we tried a cupcake (4). They were small but that's one of the trends for cupcakes -small. My wife liked it but still prefers mr. Cupcakes. And lastly I ordered an (2) alfajor. I asked the girl where it was from and she didn't know. In the world of alfajores I know of two kinds- From Peru and Argentina. It was definitely not from Peru and it was thick like the ones from Argentina. Regardless of where it was from, I didn't enjoy it. The dulce de leche was overpowered by the amount of cookie that it's sandwiched with. read more
