Nice place to get hot cocoa. But there is no place to sit and drink, so you basically have to buy and go. But it was perfect for a cold day in NYC. Located in the Times Square area next to the M&M store. I would stop again if I needed something warm to drink around the Time Square area. The service was good too.

We ordered the Dubai Hot Chocolate that was advertised outside of the store. I asked the man at the counter if it will look exactly like the photo. He assured me that it would. I asked again before I paid for it and again, he told me it would look exactly like the picture. When he handed me the hot chocolate, I thought it was a joke. He actually said, "well it might not look exactly like the photo". I didn't want the ridiculous drink he made me but he refused to refund my money. See the pics below.

This is good hot chocolate, but very rich and thick. Almost too much so. They have an extra small and small. Only get the extra small. I didn't try adding milk or the marshmallow ($1.25 extra). The line moves quickly, they gave out free chocolate samples while in the line and the price seems fair for Times Square.

Hot chocolate was really good. It was a little too sweet for my taste, but was still delicious. It's near Times Square NYC.

Max Brenner was recommended as a must visit chocolate store by a few friends on our visit to NYC but left us a bit disappointed. It was a very small menu and they were out of waffles so there wasn't much left to try. We ordered hot chocolate, which was nearly $8 for a small size. The hot chocolate was good but nothing too different from what you'd get anywhere else.

We ordered hot chocolate and it was delicious! The service was great and the most important thing its Kosher. All the chocolate that they sell are kosher. Just like in Israel

So happy we got to stop by and grab a hot chocolate for our boys to try. We used to have a Max Brenner at the Caesars Palace in LV but unfortunately they closed. Our son LOVED their hot chocolate. My husband and I ordered the Oreo shake which was extremely delicious! Still thinking about it. The service was decent and this spot was small and cozy. If you ever have a chance to stop by and your hot chocolate cravings arise, check out this spot- you wont regret it

We stopped in the Max Brenner store in the middle of Time Square because I wanted to try their hot chocolate. It was rich and decadent...super sweet but delicious on a rainy, cold day in NY. The gentleman working there was very friendly and gave us samples to try. We did end up purchasing the chocolate covered pecans which were super good.

Of all of the premium hot chocolates we've tried in New York City, Max Brenner is by far the best! It has plenty of chocolate flavor without being bitter, and plenty of milky creaminess without being too dilute. It's a very nice treat to have on a cold day when walking around the city! The service was quick and easy, and there were lots of beautiful boxes and other chocolate goodies in the shop to look at while waiting for your drink. Would definitely recommend you check this out if you are going on a hot chocolate tour around New York!

Came here on a whim while on my way to dinner and ordered their Italian hot chocolate with marshmallow and it was pretty good. It was sweet but I truly enjoyed it. In a way, it kinda remind me of the hot chocolates at the Bryant Park holiday market. This place is small so it's more of a grab and go spot. 4.5 stars

First Impressions- came in the store in a whim for a cup of hot chocolate and to get a break out from the cold and crowds of Times Square... the store was pretty messy and had some trash on the floor, old receipts and napkins and leftover detritus. But there was only one girl in the whole shop, so I'll cut her some slack The Noms: I really enjoyed the hot chocolate. Not too thick, not too thin... it's the perfect consistency. I got it with whipped cream, and it was so creamy and delicious. Wish there would be something whimsical like chocolate shavings on top or some crushed peppermint... but honestly this was satisfying to get out of the cold after looking at the 5th ave light shows and seeing the Rockefeller Christmas tree. It really hit the spot. In conclusion - I would come back here for another cup of hot chocolate, it is pretty pricey at almost $7, but it was a nice treat, and I don't have it often. Would definitely recommend the hot chocolate here.

    Signature shake.

Was staying at the hotel above the Times Square location and decided to get a signature chocolate shake while I waited for my wife. I was the only customer in the store. The drink consisted of appx 4 oz of milk a scoop of chocolate powder and to the brim with ice. I commented "thats it for chocolate?" The blended drink was pale in color and had nothing but a hint of chocolate flavor. What a let down. $8.13 for hint of chocolate flavor.

Very patient gentleman at the counter. He was very busy but calm, even with a line forming outside after the Thanksgiving parade. He earns high stars. As for the store, it is small but with wall to wall chocolate merchandise. Hot chocolate was sold out so he kept telling people it's a bit of a wait for the next batch. Watched him pour a container of chocolate ganache into the milk. We didn't want to wait for it so asked for shakes instead. Generous amount of vanilla ice cream and scoops of ganache went in the blender. Granita shake was with ganache only, Oreo one was granita with cookies blended in. Looked good but we were disappointed bec didn't get the richer chocolate flavor. Their chocolate is just too sweet and reminded me of chocolate syrup.

One type of hot chocolate - delicious but very sweet. Two sizes, small or large. Small was perfect. No seating available.

My fiancé and I had a lot of fun looking at all of the choices they had. There were some regular flavors like Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate but there were also some fun flavors like Pumpkin Spice, Milk Chocolate Sea Salt. On top of all of this, there is an option of prepackaged Lindt chocolates as well as different chocolate barks by the entrance. Definitely a fun thing to do with your friends as well!

They're also across the street from a flagship Ghirardelli store, which they also own, if you aren't aware. In general, I find Lindt too sweet, but that is also coming from someone who is a dark chocolate lover. For this location specifically, the staff here are friendly and give samples, which is a plus. Anyway, if you're wondering why you'd want to stop here instead of just going to the literal CVS around the corner which sells their products, you can customize stuff better here, and there are many more options. Along with the standard truffles they are famous for, there are flavors available only at this location, as well as seasonal ones. Some current ones include shortbread, made with milk chocolate, as well as a snickerdoodle, which I didn't realize was made with white chocolate, or else I wouldn't have purchased that one (it was still tasty,) and others. The truffles are around 62¢ post-tax for a single one, so it's a little cheap and tasty treat. Outside of truffles, there are bars, some fancier chocolates, and bark, among many other things. Of course, there's a Dubai option like every other chocolatier in case you want to purchase a cheapo version here. Obviously, the chocolates in general are not as high-quality as Läderach, Li-Lac, and other spots, but they are at very different price points, so that's to be expected. The latter spots are more artisanal, while this is a step up from Hershey's "chalk-olate" and other cheaper brands. If you're looking to buy a gift without paying an exorbitant price but still want a step up from Hershey's or similar places, I would recommend going here.

The great reviews and overall rating along with the fact they had an emphasis on sour beers (my wife's favorite style of beer) made it a no brainer. Also as you have likely seen they are a women-owned operation so another positive. We did mistakingly walk by it at first but quickly found it. It's a beautifully designed space and more unique than your typical brewery space. Also speaking of they have lots of drinks other than beers, including wines, ciders, cocktails, coffee and a couple NA beers. Due to the impending storm they were closing early but my wife and I each got a beer. I got their New England IPA called Sun Up which was citrusy and juicy with a touch of bitterness/hoppy notes. Then my wife got their fruited sour Peach Berry Punch that definitely had a punch of pink guava and peach but the berry was more subtle. Two great beers with plenty of other styles available too. Service was friendly with a smile and took no time to get our beers. Such a positive experience we plan on returning to give their cocktails a try! An absolute must visit for beer lovers who find themselves near Bryant Park! (Also non-beer lovers since they offer so much more too.)

I am a devotee of dark chocolate, and have tried every dark offering it has. Each is superb, even flavor combinations I haven't historically adored (like orange and chocolate - I know it's popular, but it's just not my favorite). That said, my personal favorite is the Anastasia, a hazelnut and dark praline enrobed in dark chocolate. It is exquisite. Service is always excellent. I've ordered in person and over the phone, and have always been so pleased with the staff. The website is helpful when ordering a variety, but if you'd like an entire box of Anastasia, for example, you have to call the Rockefeller Center store and place the order by phone. They ship once a week, and I always have my box fairly quickly. Boxes make terrific gifts ... including for yourself. If you're walking in, I recommend sitting down to enjoy a few pieces of chocolate, then taking the rest in a box with you. There is a cozy but comfortable seating area in the back just for this. This area is also an ideal place to enjoy some of their drinking chocolate. Highly, highly recommend.
