We stopped by my favorite chocolate store this afternoon, and I was so happy to be there! This store just has that effect on me. Alexis, who was assisting us at the counter, was warm, attentive, and welcoming, which made our visit even more pleasant. We used to visit their Boston location whenever we were in Boston, but unfortunately, it was closed when we visited last September, and I was so disappointed. So when my husband took me to this location during holiday last year, which we've been shopping at for a long time, I was super happy and definitely went a little overboard! I ended up getting quite a few boxes of chocolates for family and friends. Today, I picked out just 12 individual chocolates and got to choose a beautiful green box and gold ribbon. During the Christmas season, the store gets so busy and packed that they don't usually have time to ask which color box and ribbon I'd like, so I especially enjoyed being able to choose them today. We were also gifted two pieces of their chocolate champagne truffle, which were absolutely delicious. Needless to say, I couldn't resist! I ended up purchasing a box of nine chocolate champagne truffles to take home as well. I'll probably stop by the store again tomorrow to pick up some more chocolates to bring back and gift to family. That's just how much I love this place! A very happy visit today to one of my favorite places! read more

Teuscher - Chocolatiers & Shops Near Me - New York, New York

I wanted to purchase some high-end chocolates to give as gifts, and champagne truffles came across my suggestions. Teuscher seemed to be an obvious choice in New York City. This was easy to find, as it's right in front of the Sak's Fifth Avenue light show and the Rockefeller Christmas tree. During the holidays, it was very difficult to get through the sea of people. On my first visit, I paid $4.25 for a single champagne truffle so that I could try it. Later, after doing some comparison shopping with other chocolate stores, I came back here to purchase boxes of mixed champagne truffles (classic and dark). The Teuscher staff are SO NICE! They ran out of the boxes for 4 champagne truffles, but they were so kind to custom-make me the truffles in cute boxes that they stuck "truffle" stickers onto, and also tied them with ribbons. They even gave me a sample of 3 jasmine truffles!!! That is SO NICE OF THEM. THREE??? I ate one, and it was divine, even though I don't even like chocolates anymore and lost my taste for chocolate over the years. I saved the rest of the samples and ate them at breakfast over the next two days. Yet, most people are not like me and love chocolates, so if you have the means, this is a great place to purchase elegant (and very pricey) chocolates as gifts! read more

Quality of service matters and they are the best!!!!! Customer for over a decade, joined membership and have ordered chocolates to be shipped several times. No issue and packing is great with ice. UPS messed my last delivery for Father's Day and both Manage Alexis and Membership Angela made good on UPS's mistake. Arrived late for this special day but they threw in a bonus. Really appreciate this level of high quality service from the Manager of the store. Will remain a customer forever. My entire family love Teuschers. read more

Do you ever get the feeling that they're charging more for the chocolate just because they can? It's good, don't get me wrong - but it's not as good as $6.42 for two very small pieces of chocolate would suggest. For these prices, you're much better off at La Maison du Chocolat less than a block away. At least you can taste the superior process and higher quality ingredients in their chocolate. read more

Three and a half. The only reason for that are the prices. I do appreciate Swiss chocolate because I grew up there and ate this but I don't recall having spent that amount of money for it. I do remember pretty stores and they changed them for the seasons as I recall. I decided to come in and grab a few items for the parentals since they introduced me to it and didn't go all the way to nyc. So I did and enjoyed the experience! read more

We went here when it was freezing out and needed to get hot chocolate! At $10 a pop, you would expect it to be excellent which it was! I know I"m in Rockefeller Center so that's the price you pay! The chocolates are gorgeous as is the store! They have a great selection of chocolates, truffles and more. You feel the richness of the store which is nice! It is perfect for special occasions or when you need to warm up! read more

I have purchased Teuscher chocolates several times this year through the New York City shops ( Rockefeller Center and Madison Ave ) and am very satisfied with the service , which is always extremely courteous , and the delicious truffles. The chocolates were delivered to my residence in New Jersey in a most timely manner and packaged in such a way that they couldn't possibly be damaged. I am so happy I've ' discovered ' Teuscher in New York and intend to use their services regularly. They make great gifts. Thank you for your courtesy and efficiency and, of course, your fabulous chocolates. Jo Mc. read more

Chocolates were delicious and packed nicely as wedding favors. The staff at the Rockefeller Center outpost were very friendly and helpful.

Teuscher is well known for their champagne milk chocolate truffle. Flown in daily to the chocolate shop in the heart of Rockefeller Center. It truly is an experience to visit the quaint little shop. Maybe you're stopping in to get a gift for a friend, and you simply must get a single truffle for yourself. On my recent visit, I noticed that they had a digital point-of-sale system, and that truly was the only modern thing in the shop. Visiting teuscher is like visiting a place that transports you back in time. The current price for chocolates by the pound is $118/lb. For the chocolate lovers out there it's definitely one that you want to try. Teuscher understands chocolate like the way you would expect good traditions to be kept. read more

Amazing store with beautiful chocolate. You might be wondering why only 3 stars if that's the case. That is because as good as the chocolate was, it was not worth $8 for a couple of tiny pieces of chocolates. Not to mention they hand it to you in a tiny plastic bag. With that price, can I get a box for my chocolate? Maybe that would be overkill and a waste of trees. I love chocolate and I've eaten a lot of chocolate in my life but for this price, I'll probably stick with See's or something similar. read more

Went in the day before thanksgiving to buy chocolate. The young girl working there didn't understand a word. I kept asking her questions that she gave the wrong answers to. I tried to get a 1/2 lb and when they weighed it was only .20. I got so annoyed I paid and got another box of prepackaged champagne truffles. I would be more beneficial to train your employees. read more

Super adorable (and flamboyant) chocolatier right by Rockefeller Center. Very interesting and extensive selection of all sorts truffles, pralines and just chocolates in general. I've been on a chocolate kick since Valentine's Day. Since my beloved GK chocolate is taking it's sweet time opening a store front, I needed a quick fix during my shopping moment on fifth avenue. A former friend received chocolates from her boy friend from here and was raving about it so I thought why not. Another dear friend of mine only buys chocolates here so it was time to check it out. The chocolates have a high price tag if I may say so myself. For someone like me to say that means a lot because I am a chocolates snob and GK is not really "budget friendly." I am not all that mad about the price if the quality backs it up. In my opinion, not really that impressive. However, they have cookies that are pretty good. I go here now to get their cookie assortment. Try the cookies! The chocolates are okay too. Just not worth my while. read more

My family used to go to their Philly location every year around Christmas. We were so sad to see it was closed this year! I decided to stop by here to surprise my sister with some chocolates before heading home for Christmas! The store is super small but it has the most fantastical decorations. When you step inside, you automatically feel the Christmas spirit! My sister's favorites are the solid chocolate animals. They are super cute and they taste great! The only thing is everything here is pricey. It is perfect for special occasions though! read more

Beautiful chocolate shop. Dropped by to try their Champagne Truffles. The employees are quick. The shop can get crowded. It is right in the middle of Rockefeller Center. I love the decor and festive colors throughout the store. After taking my first bite, I was quite impressed. The truffle has 3 layers. The outside is a thin layer of light milk chocolate. The 2nd layer is a smooth and creamy dark chocolate ganache. Finally, there is a Dom Perignon Champagne cream center. The champagne center is light. The truffles are then topped off with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar. I appreciate that the truffle was light, not too sweet and prepared with quality ingredients. At $8 for 2 pieces of truffles, I can't say that I'll be dropping by often. However, these chocolates would be a wonderful gift for that chocolate lover in your life. A definite treat. read more

I checked out this place while walking around Rockefeller Center with my family. I read on Yelp that this place had really tasty chocolate, so my sister and I walked into this chocolate place. It wasn't what I expected. I thought it was big, but it was just a dinky little space. The inside was very colorful! This place really reminded me of the Christmas season. I bought some truffles. Truffles: Rose - $2.80/lb Lavender - $2.80/lb Wine - $3.92/lb Lemoncello - $3.92/lb All of these truffles' prices are around that price range. Sorry, guys.. I don't quite remember since the girl (cashier) didn't give me my receipt. Chocolates: Milk Chocolate (red foil) - $15.95 for the medium size Mocca Schokolade Coffee Chocolate (small size) - $4.95 ea Milch Schokolade Milk Chocolate (small size) - $4.95 ea Lactosefreie (lactose free) Milch Schokolade Milk Chocolate - $4.95 ea Just realized that I bought a lactose free chocolate. Oh well. All the chocolates are made in Switzerland. read more

I come here every time I'm in Manhattan. I am developing quite a list of favorite places that must be repeat places, and Teuscher is one of those. I have always dropped in (to this location) even when Teuscher was in California, but now, I think they have completely vanished back in my home state, much to my chagrin. More than ever now, though, I make it a point to find my way to the Rockefeller location. Especially at the holidays. Everything is so festive and beautiful. I love, love, love it !! I always buy the milk chocolate champagne (that Oprah introduced me to), and I add in some Bailey's Irish Cream chocolates, as well ! My husband loves their candied orange wedges dipped in milk chocolate. I admit, those are fast becoming a favorite of mine, too. This place, as with most high-end European-based chocolatiers, is NOT cheap, but I am not adverse to spending more for the quality given...... and this is AMAZINGLY GREAT quality chocolate. read more

I love chocolate, thus I loved this store! The chocolate is simply wonderful and smooth and sweet and bitter and everything you could want in a chocolate. Of course, all depending on which chocolate you get. I had the coffee truffle and dark chocolate variety. My brother had a milk chocolate bar and devoured it in minutes. This was crazy because he thinks Hershey's chocolate is yummy, and tends to be pickier about fancy chocolates. I was so proud of him, lol. The employees were friendly and very helpful. Thanks for a great experience! My only problem was the price of the chocolates- be prepared to $pend $ome money! But, in my opinion treating yourself on vacation (and in general) is important. This visit was so worth it. I would have no self control if I lived closer. Probably a blessing that I don't! read more

Walking down 5th to the subway, I noticed the sign chocolatier and the sweet tooth of my mine said go in. Tiny shop and expensive chocolates. Not usually my thing but I was already there so why not try. With the recommendation of the woman in the shop who was super friendly, I selected a baileys truffle and champagne truffle for $7.32. I said I hope they were worth the price and she said trust me they are. She offered me a complementary walnut truffle as well. I tried the walnut immediately and it was DELICIOUS. (My first time having a truffle). Later I tried the baileys which was literal heaven. I want another. The baileys ganache takes over everything. Later i tried the champagne which was pretty good but baileys won. Just wish they weren't so pricey read more

Located conveniently right on Rockefeller Center is Teuscher Chocolates and wow their chocolates are amazing. Prior to my trip to NYC my boss had raved about their chocolates and I knew that I had to go and give it a try. I went in with a mission to purchase their Milk Chocolate Champagne Truffles and low and behold I was not disappointed. I went on a Tuesday afternoon in the winter time and it was quiet, we were the only ones in the shop at that time but when we were leaving a few others were trickling in. These truffles are not cheap and will run you around $5 a piece. If you are willing to shell out for chocolate, I'd stop by and give it a try. 4/5 stars because of the price. read more

Just for everyone's benefit: I called their phone line and found that their hours are Mon-Fri, 11 am - 4 pm. Not open weekends. In my humble opinion, it would have been better to open for part of the week (e.g. Tues-Fri), and open for one of the weekend days. Truffles don't do well when kept overnight in a fridge, and is we have a weekend event, due to the store hours, that's what we are going to have to do. So my advice: don't come here until they change their hours. I'm just so glad there are other great truffle shops poem during the weekends in NYC. read more

The absolute best. The people here are so friendly. I needed help to pick up some tasty treats. They let me sample some and made it all cutesy wrapping it and dressing it with a bow and all. The Champagne truffles are cool. But I'm all in for their pistachio marzipans. YUMMAY read more

I just ate chocolate and lost weight! Oh, maybe that's because my wallet is a bit emptier after indulging in some of Teuscher's delicious dark chocolate. This tiny shop is so whimsical; no detail is left unattended to. Even though I was having an awful day (hence why I found myself in a chocolate shop), I could not help but smile. Chocolate is not only packaged in colorful boxes and foil wrapping, but is included as part of floral gift sets and sets that feature all sorts of cute animals and insects (puppies, ladybugs, kittens, etc.). After browsing the many varieties of chocolate available, it was time to make a decision. Did I want a small bar of chili dark chocolate? Champagne truffles? Marzipan? Something in the case caught my eye - a solid dark chocolate owl. He was almost too cute to eat. It did not come cheap (at almost $5), but this little owl was rich and slightly bitter. For dark chocolate, this was a bit "creamier" than I would have expected. After indulging, I felt slightly calmer and at peace. Chocolate seems to have that effect on me. If you're in need of a pick-me-up, a little bit of Teuscher chocolate should do the trick. read more

Holly chocolate heaven with a price tag. That's all I need to say, chocolates taste like heaven with a price tag that hurts the pocket. Not exactly sure how it's charged but I payed $9 for two small chocolates. The guy who helped me out was an angel, as he helped me pick two great chocolates of my taste. It was my first time here, he also had an amazing personality. What attracted me the most about this store was their amazing fall window decoration and then once I was inside I was hooked. This is not the best chocolate in the world as other yelpers have stated in previous posts. I stopped in yesterday and purchased a small box of Champagne Truffles for my wife. These truffles were a nice size but the quality of the chocolate as well as the Champagne (which tasted like cough syrup) was not the best I've ever tasted. When I bring home chocolates, if they are so good, so decedent, we are hiding them from my teenagers! These chocolates have been left out in the open for everyone... Now that we have that out the way, this is a fun shop for tourists who visit Rockefeller Center. Their product is a notch above Godiva and other mass produced chocolates. From what the counter person explained to me, these chocolates are shipped from Switzerland every few days. Enjoy something different but back it up before you say OMGAWD, Heaven, the best ever! I dare you to walk one block up to taste greatness... (La Maison Du Chocolat) read more

This place is chocolate HEAVEN! Our favorites were the champagne truffles and the pistachio truffles! They have seasonal front decorations and once you go inside you have an overdose of color, scents of chocolate and beautiful chocolate arrangements. Disclaimer: We did come on American Express Small Business Day so we were more than happy to go at it on the chocolates and choose as we pleased without heavy considering of cost. We ordered about 10 pieces of chocolate for $27. Yes, premium chocolates but this is probably the most smooth, melt in your mouth, mouth watering chocolate I've EVER had. I would definitely go back again to buy another bag of chocolates as a gift or house party! Actually, maybe just a treat for myself too...haha Go try :) read more

We happened upon this little store and when I saw they import their chocolates from Switzerland weekly, I made a beeline for the front door. I can still taste a Bailey's truffle I had in Zurich years ago and was hoping to rekindle that food porn moment. Hoping my husband wasn't paying attention to the $92 a pound signs they had discreetly placed around the small space (he didn't), I zeroed in on the case. Sure enough there was a Baileys truffle along with orange marzipan, pistachio cream (I don't remember the exact name post euphoria) and a lemoncello truffle. To say the chocolate is sublime is a huge understatement. Eating European chocolate puts the chocolate experience on a whole new level. The flavors are subtle and nuanced while melting deliciously in your mouth. Thank you for taking back to a former life in Europe! read more
