It had a sloppy look and was challenging to hold, but it tasted a lot better than it looks. The chicken was served hot off the grill and the onions were sautéed perfectly. I wasn't expecting sliced tomatoes to be included, but it actually added to the flavor. There was a fair share of guacamole. You'll definitely need a fork and knife for this dish. Tornillos Chocolate: This pastry was served chilled, which is exactly how I prefer my dessert. The outer texture was very flaky. It may not appear to have a lot of cream, but there's definitely a large amount packed in! Although I didn't think the food was the most attractive, the taste superseded the display by a long shot. Seating arrangements are limited, so I would recommend take out only. #chickenqiesadilla #tornilloschocolate #harlem #eastharlem ##elchevere

El Chevere Bakery is very popular when you want a cake designed for a special occasion. I visited…read moretoday at the suggestion of a friend who buys their cakes. I wanted to see some samples of their designs. I didn't realize they have breakfast and more on a menu. It's like two businesses in one storefront. The best way to see how cool the cakes are is to look in the front windows. That's where the best designs are displayed. My window photos give you a sample. You really need to visit in person. I was welcomed as I entered and left alone to check out everything they have to offer. It was too early to eat lunch and I knew I wasn't ordering a cake today. They do have a lot of other sweet delights! For today I asked for their business card and was quickly provided with one. I am glad I have this resource when it's time to gather for a special celebration.

The employee was very friendly and even made suggestions on different baked items to try. I picked up a cake pop for my son and also tried their famous Brookie loaded with Oreo cookies. Everything tasted super fresh, soft, and delicious. You can definitely tell they put a lot of care into their desserts. They also specialize in corporate events, party favors, giveaways, and holiday gifting, which makes them a great option for special occasions. Overall, a fun and welcoming bakery experience that I would definitely visit again. Metered parking is available.

It was so much fun to see all my friends. Baked in Color provided lots of colorful chocolate chip rainbow cookies for the event. The event took place on time and the employee Elisa offered the guests cookies just as they arrived. She was so enthusiastic and friendly bending down to talk to the children. She was very friendly with me and the adults too. She asked to take my photo with the cookie. I'm not sure where she is going to post it! I in turn got her permission to post her photo on Yelp. I'm highly recommending you invite Baked in Color to your event. If you visit their website you can get a lot more information about their products and services. It definitely made our party fun and delicious. I would have given 5 Stars but I was concerned about the conflicting information between the ingredients and the nutrition information. To me they certainly didn't match.

You can get a large for $5.99 which I should have done. The ice cream is a lot creamier than McDonald's as my wife pointed out. But I like the chocolate syrup from McDonald's better. I know everything is expensive these days but it is not 3 times better than McDonald's. For the similar price, I think Rita's is so much better. I think I'll stick with the Cinnabon next time.

On a work trip to NYC I had to visit Egidio Pastry Shop on Arthur Avenue. The moment you walk in,…read moreyou're surrounded by the smell of fresh espresso and classic Italian pastries that have been delighting customers for generations. I ordered a cappuccino and, for the first time, decided to try the Rum Baba. I'm glad I did. The pastry was incredibly soft, perfectly soaked with just the right amount of rum, and had a light sweetness that wasn't overpowering. The service was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. The staff was happy to answer questions and made me feel like a regular, even though it was my first visit. The shop has an old-school Italian bakery feel that's becoming harder to find, making the experience just as enjoyable as the food itself.

I've always walked by Egidio Pastry Shop but now I'm on a mission. I need dessert to carry through out the weekend. Walking inside, it's nostalgic feels from my childhood. Freshly baked Sicilian treats that are proudly on display. I ask: Do you sell Italian bread? I'm told no so I'll gladly take a pound of biscotti. I zero on my favorite, almond biscotti. I ask for a few fruit and nut biscotti as well. Somehow a filler was added, it wasn't even biscotti?? It was a flat, flavorless cookie. I would have enjoyed sesame cookies but I wasn't asked. It was just jammed into the box unbeknownst to me. I don't have these problems in Brooklyn, uncool. There was a cute nonna in front of me ordering Italian pastries. She's directing the counterperson who's preparing her box: I'll have one of those, two of these, while eating a mini cannoli. First time here, I'd like to try the pastries on my next visit. I ordered a vanilla cake with cookies and cream filling and cream frosting on the outside. To my surprise I cut open the cake at the party and its chocolate cake with vanilla cream frosting. My mom does not each chocolate cake and most guests don't eat chocolate cake. I come into the bakery explain what happened the lady calls the manager and instead of resolving it over the phone and issuing a partial refund or even store credit he tells her to take my number and that he'll call me the following day. Following day no call, so I come back in the next day ask for her to put the manager on the phone he LIES and says he called me so I asked for the phone soon as he gets on the phone his tone is absolutely disgusting "I told you I would call you yesterday but I didn't have time I'll call you tomorrow" so I'm asking why can't it just be resolved over the phone at this point because it's an inconvenience me having to keep coming in I don't even live in the neighborhood anymore. To which he replies "well I don't know why you keep coming in.. I'll call you tomorrow" and hangs up on me. I will NEVER do business with this bakery again and I WILL inform everyone I know about this disgusting customer service. People are spending their hard earned money at your establishment and trusting you with cakes for their special events, YOU and your staff made the mistake therefore it is up to YOU to rectify it. I had to come in multiple times because their phone either does not work or they never pick it up. I am absolutely frustrated and disappointed
