I heard about the Chocolate Expo through News12. It was a spontaneous decision to go on my part. There was no planning involved whatsoever. I literally saw that it was happening on the news, purchased the ticket through EventBrite, and drove to Secaucus. That's how much I freaking love chocolate!!! My GPS got me exactly where I needed to be. The signs (or lack of signs I should say) sucked. I drove around for awhile to find where I could park before I realized there are plenty of spaces, and the garage is attached to the Expo Center! The event itself was very nice. There were plenty of vendors to choose from. I went to every booth and picked up samples where I could. Then I did a second round, where I was more selective with the products I wanted to buy. Had I not done this, I would have spent at least a hundred bucks! The great part about the expo is that there were non-chocolate booths sprinkled throughout. I could see how this place could give you chocolate over load syndrome (even for chocoholics like me!) if there was solely chocolate and nothing else. Other products you can purchase include donuts, macarons, spices, oils, lotions, cheeses, etc. I've heard that if you go during the last two hours of the expo, vendors start slashing prices. I probably should have gone later, but I didn't want to drive in the dark. That's my own problem. To give you an idea of what I spent here: Ticket - $16.82 Goodies - $37.00 Samples - loads of them! Parking - Free Tolls and gas - $7.00 Total: $60.82 Time spent: 1.5 hours

Could this event be organized better? Absolutely. We arrived early, hoping to skip the lines to enter, however they were already huge by my arrival. At 11am they line started to move, but after a few minutes I heard the man at the entrance yelling that the line is only for people who pre paid for tickets and waiting to pick them up. If you need tickets just go up and buy them, there was like 5 people online to buy tickets. After I bought tickets I went right in, skipping everyone who was waiting to get their pre paid tickets which in sense were supposed to make it quicker but in reality resulted in unnecessary wait time. Anyway moving on to the actual event. Once inside the area was filled with chocolate vendors and all of them were very generous giving out samples of their products. The wait times and crowds were massive, but due to the large variety of vendors no one really waited for more then a few minutes to sample a product and to make a purchase. They all kept everyone moving. I loved the chocolate fondue, you could also mix the fruits and the marshmallows if you wanted to just had to ask them. The truffles were great there too, as well as the pickle and olive vendor. Also, toward the back the Gelato station with so many flavors was excellent. Entrance fee was a bit steep, but for the amount of samples and experience it was worth it. I stayed only a few hours, but it was enough to sample and purchase everything that I needed too. Also, parking is free which is a huge plus as that alone can run up to $20 for such events. I'll be back next year hopefully they would get more organized.

This event was a major disappointment and a wast of money. $20 entry fee to get hit with outrageously over priced food and products.

I've never eaten anything that I didn't like. My faves are: milhojas, breakfast croissant sandwich, and any and every cake with dulce de leche filling. I only tiny, minuscule complaint I have about this place is the lack of signage for the pastries and cakes. It would be nice to know what I'm looking at without having the ask. Absolutely zero gatekeeping here. Please everyone keep patronizing this establishment. I need this place to continue to exist in my hood.

So get anything fresh, like made to order cakes or things you see come out right when you're there. Otherwise you run the risk of getting old stuff, which sucks that they don't manage that at all. On a Sunday afternoon lines moved quickly and we were able to find seats. This is a cute cafe that offers plenty of savory items and lunches, plus drinks like matcha, cakes, pastries and cookies. There is also a bathroom! The women behind the counter were all nice and patient with my questions, they also kept the line moving and were quick. I had high hopes for the Alfajores as this is an Argentinian bakery but unfortunately the ones given to me were stale. The cookie was very hard. Also the Dulce de leche was too sweet and burnt tasting to me. I also got a chocolate covered one and the cookie in that was also hard and dry. The strawberry croissant was amazing. Never had anything like that before. Not too sweet and very flaky. It has a ribbon of red on the outside which gives it a unique look. I would love to come back and try savory items. I'll continue to stick with the cakes and croissants for desert and make sure it's fresh!

I tried the pistachio and rose flavor, and the sponge-like, moist texture was so good. It would have been perfect and super absorbent with a cup of tea. These are definitely specialty donuts that feel handmade and would be great for events like a birthday or a wedding, something with real significance. The service was excellent. The owner of the donut stand, when I saw her at Holi Seaport (downtown Manhattan), was very nice and humble. Even though she was working a packed station, she still took the time to serve me personally. She sold out all her donuts, which tells you just how amazing they are. The ambience depended on the event, since it was just a stand -- I didn't go to her actual shop in Weehawkens. Given that she does a lot of events between New York and New Jersey, the vibe will vary depending on which one you attend.

To make matters worse there was NO FLAVOR. NONE. how does something with pistachios and rose taste exactly like a mango lassi donut. There was no difference. Just dense garbage with no flavor. Tasted awful. I felt like I ate a nobake donut made in a EASY BAKE OVEN. it was awful!!!!! They purposely don't show the prizes and the check out lady compliments you and starts talking about the weather to distract you from what you're about to be charged. SCAM.

The levels are confusing in this mall because a lot of people assume level 1 is where the stores are at. But level 1 is just parking & cars. Second level is where things begin, and third level is Big Snow & Bang Cookies. It's a small booth, in the center. I was craving sugar after a really good snowboard day, which is my go to flavor after snowboarding any day xD, but I've been eyeing these cookies for awhile! I'm so glad I tried them! Definitely will return! There was a line to get these cookies, so they must be something special!! PRICE They're $5 a cookie, but these cookies are muffin sized! They're gigantic! Very worth the price. A lot to eat. You will not finish it in one sitting, especially more so certain flavors. Certain flavors are just over powering. I have a huge sweet tooth, and I did not and could not finish this in one sitting. They're super soft too, well baked, way better than Crumbl Cookies. Packaged well. They do have deals, for example I bought 4 and got 1 free. Lots of unique flavors to choose from. Many sell out before the end of the day! COOKIE FLAVORS I TRIED: - Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk - Snickerchurro - Triple Chocolate - Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk SEA SALT CHOCOLATE CHUNK Sea salt chocolate chunk was good but I didn't quite taste the the sea salt. It tasted like a regular chocolate chip cookie. A bit too sweet for my liking and I felt like I was gonna throw up a few times after eating it. Rating: 3.5 out of 5 SNICKERCHURRO Snickerchurro loveeeeed the gingerbread flavor. But it had too much filling inside of it. The taste of everything was amazing but the filling was just too much to enjoy well. It took me multiple times to finish it. Rating: 4 out of 5 TRIPLE CHOCOLATE Tasted more like a brownie, and probably my favorite out of the bunch. Probably because this was the only one I could finish in one sitting because it wasn't over powering. Rating 5 out of 5 PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHUNK This is an easily forgettable flavor. There's nothing that was wrong with it, and there was nothing that really stood out to me either. It tasted like a regular peanut butter chocolate cookie. Rating: 3 out of 5 OVERALL It took me the span of a full week to finish all the cookies. I gave my "free" cookie to my sister. Which she also ate one half one day and the other half another day. They are huge and some of the flavors can be a lot. But they're highly worth the money and will try to stop by at an earlier time to buy some of the other flavors! If I do, I will update my review.

I've been getting this sandwich for years. I'm not sure if they forgot to put butter on it but the sandwich is typically never dry. Not sure what happened there. 3rd attempt- At store. The new employees seemed frazzled and you need to repeat your order to them about 10 times because they keep forgetting what you just told them one minute ago. I love this place and I'm only giving this review so that it doesn't go downhill. There are a lot of new cafés opening up in the area and I would hate for them to be left in the dust. The owner is very kind and cares about her customers, so I know she will care about this review and do something about it.
