Crêpes are an ultra-thin pancake common in France that can be made sweet or savory, typically rolled or folded with a variety of fillings from jam or Nutella to ham and cheese or fruits. They can be eaten for breakfast, dinner, brunch, dessert, or even a snack. Situated on Riverside Avenue in Lyndhurst, this cozy, simple hidden gem establishment offers an array of healthy options on their diverse menu, to which my partner and I returned after 8 years. Upon entering 3rd Wave Cafe, we were able to get a booth along the wall in an upbeat, casual vibe as the music was playing throughout. We decided on the Tropical Crêpe and Avocado BLT Wrap. I started with a French iced coffee that was really strong and served in a glass mug. The crêpe was fluffy, and the texture was great. I could tell all the fruit in it was fresh because it was sweet. The crepe was decorated nicely with a Nutella drizzle and whipped cream dollops that made it visually pleasing. The food, on top of being good-tasting, had a great presentation. The price was reasonable and the portion a healthy size. The service was friendly and not rushed; our server was Am. We left feeling satisfied and content, and we can recommend returning to explore other menu items.

It would not have been such an inconvenience if it wasn't raining and there was no place to stand for 2 hours. I hopped back on the subway as my only option as I was hungry, cold and wet. After taking the wrong direction to Marcy Ave and getting back on track decided to come back. Got here and asked for the NY Cheesecake crepe with Carmel instead of chocolate and he said he has to CHARGE me for Carmel instead of chocolate. Huh! I explained that I took the subway twice $3 each way because when I got here, the food delivery truck was outside delivering boxes and the sign said opening a 1 pm. Mind you I already said it was my second time here today when I walked in. Really!?! Terrible customer service!!!!!! I'm from out of town but yikes! I left Times Square to visit this small business in the rain. The $19 crepe was decent.

Being only a few blocks away and rated fairly high, Creperie popped up on my search so I knew I had to stop by on one of my evening walks back from the office. Although a rather tiny little shop, Creperies manages to still have some very limited seating right outside. As well as counter space inside the shop if you don't mind standing and crowding with other people waiting for their orders. I ordered the Strawberry and Banana crepe as it seemed to be a popular option. Size-wise, this crepe is pretty hefty and filling. Comes in an aluminum container so it's much less messy to grab and go. Although sweet, I felt the crepe itself was just ok. Nothing about it really stood out nor made it particularly memorable. They offer both sweet and savory crepes here if you want to make a meal out of it.

You order at the counter and the staff will bring your order today you. It comes in packaging ready to go which is convenient for leftovers. The staff was very nice. I ordered the omelette and customized it with egg whites, a berry crepe, and my husband had a breakfast crepe. The food was delicious and came out perfect. The crepes are huge and stuffed to the max. Definitely worth the value! Can't wait to try more crepe variations in the future! A couple of notes: It can get a little cold with the door constantly opening so dress warm if it's cold outside. Also, when they are busy, the kiosk constantly bings with new orders.

I ordered the 3 eggs omlette with spinach, Swiss, and bacon with a large cappuccino. The cappuccino was large, so I'll order the small next time. But my omelet came with a butter crossaint, mixed green salad with a half slice of pineapple, and strawberry jam in a recycled brown cardboard container. The food was fresh and delicious. Service was prompt and courteous. I'm definitely adding this on my go-to list!!

They offered two little slips to each customer - one for a savory crepe and one for a sweet and you can build you own. Great concept but it would be beneficial if the server confirmed the order because we asked for nutella, banana, strawberry, and ice cream and got 2/4. We were in a rush to leave so forgot to check the receipt to see if we were charged for the others; however it was $48 (w/o tip) for 1 panini, 1 crepe and 1 latte so a bit overpriced for the quality of food, in my opinion. The sandwich and crepe were both just okay, nothing to rave about. The drink was aesthetically pleasing with the iced Bear and tasted great. We asked for whipped cream on the latte but our server forgot that too. She also forgot to provide us water until we asked and it came at the end of the meal.  Outside dining was not optimal as it's right next to the railroad tracks and quite loud. There is a kids play area which I thought was a nice addition to the space, but I do wish it was gated off for the younger kids as it's so close to the road! Overall, I found that it was a bit overrated and underwhelming... there are so many restaurants to choose from in the area that I wouldn't opt to come back here.
