We made the mistake of ordering our toddler a bean burrito.. it was huge and full of whole black beans which she could not eat a $15.00 mistake on our part for not making ourself clear). This place is so amazing I'm reviewing it 3 weeks after our vacation sadly ended ... and I'm still missing the shrimp tacos (what is that sauce?!), the nachos, and whatever you call the frozen drink margarita-with-Sangria thing that I never got enough of. But the best part is the SERVICE! We went twice and were treated wonderfully both times ... NIA was a sweet smiling delight and needs a raise! She is awesome. Remember the name: Nia! And we also had another wonderful server whose name I tragically have forgotten but he also deserves mad props. I remember this: he lives in Santa Rosa Beach and had like 7 nieces and nephews move in with him thanks to Covid. Wish I remembered his name, but I bet he remembers the tip we left. Not good. We ordered the salsa off the bat and it tasted like tomato paste. Yes kid friendly but not good. Ordered the spicy margarita and skinny margarita both of which tasted like they were made with Cuervo margarita mix and nothing else. Both of us ordered tacos and the tortillas were not great. The chips and salsa were incredible- flavorful, crispy, and absolutely delicious, but the rest of our experience here was disappointing. FYI- happy hour is from 3-5 and the menu is very limited during this time; you cannot order from the regular dinner menu until after, which we were unaware of until after asking our server because it's not clearly stated anywhere. They did still make a kid's menu item for our son which was appreciated. The service was slow even though it wasn't busy. We started with chips, salsa, and queso and it was at least another 15-20 minutes before she came back to take our order. Our server did refill our chips without us asking though, which was nice of her. My husband got the fish tacos, which were not worth the $16 price tag. They looked impressive because they were loaded with toppings, but there were maybe 2 oz of fish total between the two. He said it was bland and tasted like it was frozen fish. My quesadilla was a decent size and had a generous amount of chicken, but I also thought it was kind of bland. We only had 2 table settings for 4 people and were not given more. Overall, the food was mediocre for the price and we won't be returning. I'd consider coming back only to snack on some chips and salsa and to try some margaritas between meals. read more

Really good menu. Vegetarian options, which I always love, but the grass fed beef taco immediately caught my eye. Rare to see dining out. I'll choose meat options quicker if they are organic or grass fed, indicating the animal was likely treated humanely. :) Great margaritas too. We chose the Strawberry,Basil and the Pineapple. Our family of 8 stopped here for dinner. One family member has food allergies and our waiter, Dawson, could not have been more accommodating. He got the manager, Brad Weaver, who came to our table and asked and answered a lot of questions about their food. He told us about their stringent guidelines the minute a staff member hears the word "allergy". The food proved to be delicious! Dawson was above-and-beyond attentive! We have been coming to the 30a area for over ten years and this place has consistently been going down hill. WHAT Mexican restaurant charges for chips and salsa??? That is absolutely ridiculous. They seem to be trying a more upscale approach, but it's not working. The food is quite greasy and bland. This restaurant was just a quick walk from our Airbnb so we figured we'd try it out tonight. We were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress, Justine, overheard us talking about our daughter turning 2 tomorrow, and she surprised us at the end of our meal by going out of her way to buy her a cupcake (instead of the usual sopapillas they have on the menu since she's so little) and have it dressed up with whipped cream and fruit and sing her happy birthday. It was the sweetest gesture and truly made our night. As for our meals, I had the taco salad with shrimp and it was really delicious. My husband enjoyed his burrito as well and it was a very generous portion. The pina coladas (both kids and adult) were tasty. Waiter came to our table four times. One of those times I had to walk inside from the patio. Food is okay, drinks are good. I ordered the lobster shrimp quesadilla. It was the worst I ever had. All of the meals and sides were mediocre actually, but what really made the experience here was the filth all over the floor and children running wild. Just don't look down, don't expect clean food, don't expect that you can sit anywhere where there won't be a million kids, and don't expect Mexican cuisine. The restaurant was crowded, and looked to be winding down from a busy Spring Break lunch crowd. I was worried when I saw the front as I wondered if it was a tourist trap place wtih poor quality food. But I was dead wrong. Once I walked in, the place was modern and renovated, and the bathrooms were clean and smelled great and were renovated. The food though was AMAZING! I had the shrimp ceviche, and then the lobster taco and shrimp taco and fish taco. The taste was clean and fresh. You can tell the person in the kitchen knows what they are doing in terms of flavors that go together. My kids had the rice and beans and fish bites, which were also good. My friend had the really large taco salad bowl, and that was probably the least exciting dish, it was a typical American salad and had nothing exciting in terms of taste. I can't wait to go back to this place, as the service was also great. But I can't get the taste out of my head. My friend and I both commented that it was the beset ceviche we had both ever had. read more
