Tonight with the revamped menu we spent under $50. New menu has a la carte tacos which are really affordable. The food at LaCo was so good! I have a gluten allergy, and everything GF was clearly marked on the menu. The service was great, our waiter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the food! I was here with group of younger kids, and the waitress tacked on a 20% fee for seemingly no reason. I brought it up and she said it was for "not having any adults at the table" and they promptly offered to remove it. Obviously trying to get those not checking their receipts. Average to subpar food, nothing special about it. Atmosphere fits the beach. LoCo for LaCo! There's nothing like a long day of traveling to Rosemary Beach, arriving, and hitting up our favorite casual spot in Seacrest before resting up for the beach. This spot has incredible drinks and Latin-Coastal inspired dishes. The Crab taquitos, which were new to us on the menu, were insane. Probably one of our new go-to's. The chicken burrito is topped with a deliciously spicy red sauce and was satisfying and full of flavor. All of the tacos are delicious so you can't really go wrong choosing any. Start off with their chips and salsa (which is amazing, we get 2 salsa's to go for snacking during our stays) & the queso is very good as well. read more

I was so disappointed in the staff at this restaurant. I understand there is an employment problem however the hosted that sat us was so high he had trouble walking between the tables. Our waitress then made us wait 20 mins to order and when the food came I was very disappointed. I took one bite out of our meal and could not finish it. I haven't been here because last year I read the reviews were not good. But we decided to give it a try being tired of seafood! Apparently they changed chef and management recently and the food was very good and we did not have to wait for a table or food. I had a veg quesadilla and it was very good. We ordered guacamole dip and it was also very good. Husband got a steak enchilada that it was also very good. I love this place! We visit La Cocina every summer while staying in Seagrove. I love the chips and salsa. The chips are fresh crisp and so good! I have tried many dishes here but my favorite is probably the lobster quesadilla and the snapper Vera Cruz. The margaritas are fantastic! The laco Rita is amazing! It's a frozen margarita swirled with sangria. The Mexican street corn is my favorite side! If you are in the seacrest area, check this place out! We went on a Thursday night and sat outdoors. There was not a wait. Our server Serge was very kind. The guacamole was pretty good. It needed a bit more salt and I like mine with a hint of spice. I am not one to leave a poor review but I am super disappointed by my experience here. I try to give servers the benefit of the doubt in all situations, but our service was so unfriendly to the point that we all felt uncomfortable. The food and drinks are good, but I cannot justify spending $40 on two items when the service was truly so disappointing. We were so excited to try this restaurant out, and I quite honestly wish that we went elsewhere. We received mistreatment as tables with older women got better service, even though we are 22+. I get that this town is known for a younger scene, but we were going to be good tippers as we all work in the restaurant industry. This is our first visit since they renovated and I can't remember if they changed the menu. The food was odd and unappetizing. My steak burrito seemed to have been made with very low quality stew grade beef, floating in a bath of some kind of salsa that just wasn't good. My wife had the chicken quesadilla that was also adorned with terrible sauces. We didn't eat much. Mexican food should be easy to do well, and this place seems to be trying too hard. La Cocina is my favorite Mexican restaurant on 30A! To start off, their chips are amazing-- and the queso is even better. The menu has a ton of amazing options- you honestly can't go wrong! On my last trip, members of my party and I had tried the queso, guacamole, tacos, steak quesadilla, lobster quesadilla, chicken fajitas, taco salad, and nachos. All of these dishes definitely pleased! In addition to the great food, the wait staff and manager were extremely kind and helpful on our last visit. They mercifully took them off the final check. I also had fajitas which featured overcooked, tough beef. There's nothing to recommend this place unless you have no other choice. The menu has been somewhat scaled down from years back, but still quite adequate for a good Mexican meal, Rosemary Beach style. Fish tacos should be ordered according to hunger condition: one is not enough for a standard appetite. Fajitas are very large, however, so prepare to share. Brought us a check without asking if we wanted another drink or maybe dessert. He then never bused our table but instead rushed to grab his signed receipt. We felt rushed out. I sat at the bar and asked the bartender what they recommend, he suggested the steak Taco so I got that and the barbacoa Taco. I really liked both tacos!
