    Ground Beef Tacos
    Sam B.

We visited Amigos 30A Mexican Kitchen for a late-night dinner, and the food was delicious! We didn't have a reservation, but wanted to watch some basketball game,s so we sat at the bar. The bartender was funny and quick to bring menus and our drinks. We ordered Lily's made-to-order guacamole, the veggie quesadilla, and the ground beef tacos. The guacamole was delicious with warm, freshly fried chips, and the ground beef tacos were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Seriously, do yourself a favor and order the ground beef tacos. They're wrapped in a hard shell taco with melted cheese and a flour tortilla --- plus they're drizzled with white queso. Absolute chefs' kiss. Next time we visit, we will skip the veggie quesadilla and order more ground beef tacos. Overall, if you're craving Mexican food in 30A, I highly recommend stopping by Amigos!

We tried the Mexican side of the restaurant after a few previous visits to the Italian side. I'll give 4 stars though more like 3.5 given the wide swing of good and not so good aspects. The environment and layout is well done with both indoor and outdoor seating/bar/TVs. Our server for party of 9 was also a mixed interaction. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable of the menu with recommendations, and responsive when asked. The opportunities were that we had to ask (for silverware and water refilled), and he did not follow up when all but one of the dishes were brought out together. The food offerings were likewise enjoyable or not. The salsa was good - with a homemade, tomato paste taste - with excellent sized and salted chips. Lily's made to order guacamole was delicious. The white queso dip was mild with a slight jalapeño flavor. Margaritas were just ok. Decent taste but little alcohol. Crispy rock shrimp tacos were fair with small sized fried popcorn shrimp. The Mexican rice was a bit on the spicy side. The Refried beans were middle of the road. The 5-star dish and highlight of our visit was the steak rice bowl with cilantro rice add street corn. What Excellent taste!

We sat at the bar, ordered some delicious margaritas and appetizers and were well taken care of by the bartender! The margaritas were great as were the homemade chips that I probably ate too many of. I loved the street corn along with the guacamole. It was a stop in our day perusing the little shops and a great way to take a load off for an hour during our retail therapy excursion!

Got the 3 stars for the great service and great tasting house margaritas! The tacos were just plain weird, not sure who invented these but they just did not work. Two (plus 2 stacked) corn taco shells, with a very small amount of lettuce and tomato in the bottom, lots of spiced ground beef (which was very good) then it gets strange instead of shredded cheese on top of both tacos they drenched them with queso (see pic). When you picked it up it was just a huge mess, I tried cutting it up (weird to do for hand food) but the corn shells were too hard (not crispy) so they didn't break, I had to "saw" on them with my knife to cut into them. It appears "they" tried to "elevate" the taco but for me failed miserably. Now my wife got a steak quesadilla that was excellent, so a "mixed bag" for Amigos.

Always a favorite when we're in town. So great for large parties (we have 13 with adults and kids) for our family trip. The food is consistently delicious and the staff is always incredible!

We started with the octopus ceviche, which was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced--tender octopus with bright citrus and just the right amount of heat. It was the kind of dish that immediately lets you know you're in the hands of a talented chef. We also ordered a variety of tacos, and each one brought something unique to the table. Every bite tasted thoughtfully crafted, with fresh ingredients and bold, well-executed flavors. It's rare to find that level of consistency across multiple dishes, but they absolutely delivered. What really stood out, though, was the attention to detail across the entire menu--even the kids' meals were clearly made with care and quality ingredients. It's not often you see that level of effort put into every plate, regardless of who it's for. The service matched the food perfectly--attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. All in all, an exceptional dining experience. Amazing food, top-notch service, and a chef who clearly knows how to create something special. We'll absolutely be back!!!

After roaming into a number of fun shops, we realized we were feeling up to a snack and drinks, and we happened across LaCo. The service and the food and drinks were good, and there was a nice ambiance to the place, too. The four of us immediately were seated at a bar during happy hour in the early afternoon when there were only a few people there. In fact, other than two people just leaving when we arrived, we were the only ones at the bar until just before we left. We arrived on a weekday afternoon just as happy hour was starting. Happy Hour prices included $2 off select wines and their house margarita, $1 off bottled beer, and discounted priced appetizers. My wife and I shared an order of Salsa Roja which included charred tomato salsa served with house friend chips. One of our friends ordered some blackened chicken wings, and both of our friends ordered drinks. Everyone was happy with what we ordered. LaCo stands for Latin Coastal as it is considered "30A's Latin coastal kitchen" with Latin-inspired lunch and dinner dishes with a coastal twist. The restaurant is located between Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach in Seacrest Beach. They operate on "beach time" and do not take reservations. Their published hours are daily from 11 AM to 9 PM with limited yet special priced happy hour menu from 3-5 PM and a full menu during the other times of the day. You can see their menu, photos, and more information about their restaurant as well as order online and sign up for news and updates at https://laco30a.com. While we do not head to 30A that often, if we head back to Seacrest Beach, we'll certainly consider another visit to LaCo, perhaps when the full menu is available. We recommend this restaurant to others wanting a unique taste and a filling snack or meal!

Very yummy and refreshing. Food: Steak Tacos, Carnitas Nachos and El Pollo Tacos, Queso and Chips Steak taco was a little bit chewy but the flavor was very good. The El Pollo Taco had great flavor and our friend who was eating this taco loves hot stuff so the owner brought over some hot sauce that they make in house and said friend said it was wonderful....I tried just an itty bitty taste and my mouth was burning...eeeeek!! My favorite was the carnitas nachos....so flavorful and I loved the pickled onions and black beans on the nachos. Queso was nice and thick and had a little kick to it. Chips came out warm and plenty in the basket for sharing. We ordered their Street Corn and Chips and ate that when we got back home and it was my all time favorite. Perfection!! First visit and we'll definitely be back…read more This was our first time at Shades Bar & Grill, and it was a great experience. We went with a group of seven and everything from the atmosphere to the food made it a really fun night out. The location and vibe are fantastic -- lively but relaxed, the kind of place where you can easily settle in with friends and enjoy a good meal. We started with appetizers for the table: calamari, onion rings, and volcano shrimp. All three disappeared quickly. The calamari was really good and normally comes served over jalapeños, but since I don't eat them the kitchen kindly put them on the side for us. The onion rings were fantastic, and the volcano shrimp had a little heat (which the spice lovers at the table really liked). For dinner I had the hibachi steak over fried rice with yum-yum sauce, cooked medium. It was excellent -- tender, flavorful, and a generous portion. Others in our group ordered the same dish and loved it as well. The chicken nachos were huge (normally an appetizer but easily a full meal) with really tasty queso that had a bit of spice. The burger and flatbreads at the table also got great reviews. We also tried the chocolate dessert bomb at the end (not sure of the exact name), and it was fantastic -- chocolate mousse and cake inside a chocolate shell with whipped cream. Definitely worth sharing. The drinks were great, the service was friendly, and the whole place had a welcoming feel. One thing we really appreciated as well: they offer a military discount, which was a nice touch. We're locals and this was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. Highly recommend if you're in the Panama City Beach / 30A area.
