Restaurant was really cool. In a really great location to all the shops, beach, and live music. All workers were really nice and quick. We got tacos, chips w salsa and queso, and caesar salad. We thought the food was really good especially the massive plate of chips with our queso and salsa which was probably our tables favorite part. Happy hour deal on drinks was great! Only giving a lower review because there wasn't a wide variety to the menu - but nothing specifically wrong with the restaurant. We would definitely come back! read more

When recently visiting 30A, my wife and I joined some friends to visit some of the shops along Seacrest Beach. After roaming into a number of fun shops, we realized we were feeling up to a snack and drinks, and we happened across LaCo. The service and the food and drinks were good, and there was a nice ambiance to the place, too. The four of us immediately were seated at a bar during happy hour in the early afternoon when there were only a few people there. In fact, other than two people just leaving when we arrived, we were the only ones at the bar until just before we left. We arrived on a weekday afternoon just as happy hour was starting. Happy Hour prices included $2 off select wines and their house margarita, $1 off bottled beer, and discounted priced appetizers. My wife and I shared an order of Salsa Roja which included charred tomato salsa served with house friend chips. One of our friends ordered some blackened chicken wings, and both of our friends ordered drinks. Everyone was happy with what we ordered. LaCo stands for Latin Coastal as it is considered "30A's Latin coastal kitchen" with Latin-inspired lunch and dinner dishes with a coastal twist. The restaurant is located between Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach in Seacrest Beach. They operate on "beach time" and do not take reservations. Their published hours are daily from 11 AM to 9 PM with limited yet special priced happy hour menu from 3-5 PM and a full menu during the other times of the day. While we do not head to 30A that often, if we head back to Seacrest Beach, we'll certainly consider another visit to LaCo, perhaps when the full menu is available. LoCo in SeaCrest, Florida - Worth a stop. Stopped for lunch and tried their Latin-inspired ceviches. The Scallop Aguachile (Mexican-style chili water) was fresh, bright, and nicely spicy. The Seacrest shrimp ceviche (Peruvian-style) was equally fresh and delicious but milder and distinct. Guacamole with freshly fried crispy chips was excellent. Visited Laco Mexican Restaurant and loved everything we ordered. I got the veggie quesadilla which was so good, plus the chicken and veggie tacos with a side of black beans -- all super fresh and flavorful. We started with the queso (really tasty with a little spicy kick) and the salsa, which was super fresh. Portions are big, so the dips are perfect for sharing. The staff was friendly, attentive, and even helped us navigate around the city, which was so nice. It is a little pricey, but makes sense for the location. read more

The ceviche had a perfect balance of sweet and savory with rich, deep flavor and a touch of heat. We had lunch at LACO today and every time in the past that we have visited the most amazing part of Florida, the 30A (in my opinion), they have been awesome! This Mexican restaurant is special because of their menu, friendly service, and its location. They have a large dining room and a full bar. They serve Topo Chico and they have Coke products, including Coke Zero- my guilty pleasure. To start, we had the guacamole and their calamari rings, so good every time. I had a salad with pepitas, tomato, peppers, pomegranate, avocado, topped with tuna - cones with a light vinaigrette and my husband had tacos. The throwback and the Pastor are his favorites but there's also pork belly and lobster. Just so good. I've had their ceviche with leche de Tigre- pretty authentic. Everything at this place is great and their consistency in quality, freshness and friendly service is why we keep coming back. They are part of a restaurant family here in the Panhandle, of which we have tried several and they also do not disappoint, ever! Love you, LACO, see you next time, soon. Tomorrow? We stopped in for lunch on a rainy beach day and were absolutely blown away by how delicious the food was. We started with margaritas and chips with salsa--both fresh and flavorful. I ordered the crab taquitos while my husband had the braised chicken enchiladas, and we shared street corn and black beans. Every dish was outstanding. Normally, we don't gravitate toward elevated Mexican food, but this meal completely won us over. Terrible all the way around. Waiter came to our table a grand total of four times. The food tasted okay, but the portions were very small! We went out to eat multiple times over the last week and this was the only restaurant we left hungry and the most expensive meal. We had our children with us and were clearly set in the "child" section. Which I can understand but the table behind me had 6-8 teens with no adult. I was hit in the head with a backpack while they were being seated. Then they were using profanity so loud and repeatedly I asked them to stop. I understand this is not in the restaurants control but what they could have done was not set us back to back as I was facing three empty tables all the same size. Overall the food was fair at best. Service was a joke, and then you add in the rude teens behind us... we will never be back. read more

We are on vacation and tried this place out for dinner as it was close to our air-bnb. Monday night, not real crowded, and we got seated right away. Then we waited... and waited... and waited. Ten minutes after being seated someone came by and apologized for us not being waited on yet. She took our drink order and assured us our server would be right with us. He came by after another 5 minutes and apologized that we had to wait. We ordered the empanadas, hot queso, and shrimp ceviche. The queso came out with a basket of chips, but had little to no flavor or spice. Another person (manager?) came over and asked how things were and I told her the "hot" queso had no spice. She apologized and said it should have been served either a side of hot sauce that could be added. She quickly brought out the side of sauce and apologized saying that she knew we had to wait longer than we should have to be waited on and that they would comp the queso (which they did). The ceviche and empanadas arrived soon after. The ceviche was a bit watery, but very tasty. Chunks of shrimp, avocado and pickled red onion provided a great flavor balance. It was served with a basket of chips. The empanadas (3) were served on a large bed of chopped slaw that paired nicely with the empanadas. The empanadas were a little too greasy for my taste, but had a nice tasty filling. They were also served with a very tasty avocado sauce. I asked for some additional hot salsa and we were brought a small bowl of a pineapple-habanero sauce that had nice heat and was quite tasty. All in all it was a satisfactory meal, but they need to focus a bit more on ensuring folks are served in a reasonable amount of time. The menu is a bit limited, but we would like to return and try some of the other dishes. Overall: Service - 6/10 Food - 8/10 Ambiance - 8/10 Value - 8/10 It's worth a try. We likely just had a less than good experience just from luck of the draw. read more

I love LaCo. I come every time I'm in Seacrest. Their queso is my absolute favorite queso of all time. I love the service, specifically Salina, she is the best. She is very attentive and always quick with all of the drinks and food. They have changed the ambiance a bit over the years, and I'm not a fan of the more modernized look that they have going now, but I do love how clean it is all of the time. They do a great job maintaining a clean space- bathrooms included. Oh- and they now serve La Crema fondues AT LaCo because they are owned by the same people. Talk about a perfect combo. Queso and margs for my entree- with chocolate fondue as my dessert?! It doesn't get much better than that. read more

From beginning to end my friends and I enjoyed everything. There was a group of four of us and I don't feel that we had to wait long at all the food was great and the drinks were even better. My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch after arriving in Seacrest Beach. We were tired and hungry after a long drive, and it wasn't yet time to check-in. To start, we ordered chips and salsa. My husband became obsessed! Best salsa he's ever eaten! He then ordered 2 tacos - 1 lobster and 1 shrimp. Rave reviews, especially for the shrimp! I had an order of their Brussels sprouts - so good - and a chopped salad. We loved it so much that we went back the next day for dinner. Hubby informed me that the fish tacos are even better than the lobster ones! He can't wait to visit there a few more times during our stay. read more

The food for lunch was not that great, the shrimp tacos say they have slaw - it's lettuce basically. Very bland compared to our experience 3 years ago. The staff also was kinda of rude. Our drinks were not good and when she added sweetener she said that's a true Fresca but any I've ever had didn't taste like old carbonated water. Would not recommend and will not be back. read more

Mid food my 2 quesadillas were 77 dollars because they auto gratuity us 20% for only 4 people PLUS they wanted more tip by also saying "suggested tips" on the bottom wanting me to tip more money than my food cost. This food was not worth 77 dollars and with 4 people there should be no auto gratuity especially without saying anything. Rip off. Adding on... I'm sure you all can read the comment from the manager I would like to address a few things. First, the manager blatantly just admitted that we were treated differently with a different service because we "look" younger. We were NEVER ID, we are all 21 just because we didn't want to drink we had an added charge because we look younger? I'm sorry I wanted to enjoy an alcohol free lunch but instead was priced differently because of my looks. Oh also... so sorry I did forget the 9 dollar strawberry lemonade that was not worth 9 dollars, and my friends 5 dollar Coca Cola that was from the fountain (could've gotten a cheaper drink anywhere else). We were craving some Mexican food so we decided to try this popular beach spot called Loca. It was located right near our Airbnb and it was only a five minute walk away, so it seemed extremely convenient. Upon entering, we were sat, however we did not see or waiter for almost 30 minutes. When we finally saw our waiter, we were able to order everything: drinks, the queso, a chicken, quesadilla, a steak burrito, and some chocolate fondue. The food did nothing to make up for the lack of service. It was holy. The queso did not taste like anything spectacular, in fact, I think it might be a below average queso. The steak burrito my request, so nothing to complain about there. The chicken quesadillas was a little plain. The chocolate fondue might have been there best offering!! It was a huge portion of chocolate with lots of dippers!! Although the food was average we gave a low rating because issues with the waiter persistent throughout the whole meal. My water was never refilled once and it was impossible to even find the guy to pay the bill. Thankfully, the owner did stop by to clear some plates when we finished our appetizers and meals, since our waiter did not. Our experience in the area was that the restaurants tended to feel like tourist traps, but LaCo provided a legitimately good experience. We were so happy to come across this restaurant on our first night in the area as the staff was friendly, the food was delicious and they had an extensive cocktail menu. We had apps and drinks while we waited for our to-go food and it was such a perk to be able to take our cocktails to go as the 30A beaches are open container friendly! The guac 30A style was so flavorful and the hot queso was the perfect amount of spice. Their tortilla chips were thin, crispy, and salty which was perfect. Everyone loved their entrees and we ate the leftover dips throughout our weekend. read more
