Ate at LaCo Saturday evening and did not feel valued as a customer. Our server Cary rushed us out, never asked if we would like a second cocktail, dessert or even a box to take our food home. Food and drinks were acceptable but the service ruined the whole meal and experience. read more

Had a nice light lunch. Nice atmosphere and delicious skinny margarita. Son said it was the best French toast he's ever had (aside from the baked apples which had an odd flavor). Guacamole was a large portion and really fresh. Chicken taco was delicious - the flavor of the shredded chicken was awesome and had a little kick. Crab cake Benedict was also really good. Would definitely recommend! read more

Had great fish tacos and Margaritas !!! It had a fun sports bar atmosphere with tapas like flare.

Good was not good. Not hot, felt like I was eating bad leftovers. Service was ok but didn't really pay much attention to us either. Overall not the experience I remembered having last time. read more

Kids meals were decent for the price. The rest not so much. As someone who's been coming to La Cocina - now La Co - since they opened super disappointed. It's always our first stop once we arrive, and we visit multiple times during our stay. Fajitas were clearly frozen meat - complete with faux grille marks. Understand the area has become more crowded but this place is turned into a serve and flip style restaurant. Fresh has turned to frozen. Got our bill before anyone even asked if we needed anything. At least we were in and out in 30 minutes. read more

Amazing lobster tacos with great to-go service. Was with a large group of friends/family and we were in Seacrest and hungry. Took a chance to eat here after seeing the menu and we were not disappointed! The lobster taco was simply amazing! Large pieces of lobster meat with lovely toppings! We loved it so much that we ended up going back a few nights later! With Covid-19, there are many to-go options and it caused a little bit of craziness. Perla is a lovely employee with a great attitude, friendly service, and managed the chaos quite well. She assisted our group 2x and was such a pleasure to chat with. Will be back next year! read more

You can always tell how your meal at a Mexican restaurant is going to be based on the chips and salsa. Luckily, the salsa that was plunked down upon arrival was thick and laced with cilantro and chipotle. For my entrée, I ordered the seafood quesadilla. Wow! So delicious and such a huge portion that I took home half and ate it for lunch the next day. We sat at the bar and the service was ok. Bartender was a bit grumpy despite not seeming overly busy. He was attentive at least so not too much of a black mark. Everyone always talks about Hector so I guess I will have to look for him when I return. read more

LaCo - At least they are honest in their advertising! - Latin American Near Me - Seacrest Beach, Florida

Really disappointed in our food, the place. First and last time. Chips were awful, my shrimp tacos, were so spicy they had to make me a fresh order. My husband hates sending back food, they should warn you how "spicy" the food is. NEVER AGAIN, the place needs some ambiance, it was pretty empty , that should have been a sign to leave. And the plates they serve the food on, seriously? You have to revamp your restaurant if you want repeat customers. Not recommending. read more

All I must say is this food tasted great but it cost a pretty penny. $25 for a lobster quesadilla that gave me the worst food poisoning imaginable. Absolutely do not recommend read more

Not the best but not the worst either. Everything needed more seasoning. Salsa tasted like ketchup - needed more garlic, onion and cilantro. My chicken burrito bowl tasted like the chicken was cook days ago. Very dry. Ordered a pitcher a margaritas w patron and could not taste alcohol in it. The chips were the best part. My husband didn't like the steak bowl either. Probably will not be back with the other excellent places in the area. read more

Definitely try the La Bamba Queso Dip - it was amazing! The margaritas were great as well! Not as impressed with the entrees. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was so soggy from the juices it sat in that I couldn't eat it. Also the service was so-so. Once the restaurant started to get busier we were forgotten about and ended up with a different waiter at the end of the meal. read more

From out of town and wanted Mexican food. Just a nice big maragertia and a steak quesadilla that's it. Arrived at this place which was mostly empty. There was my first sign, I should of noticed... Sat down and asked for a large/jumbo maragertia. Well it's my fault I did not ask the price. The lady came back with a glass as pictured... I'm sorry folks this is not a large/Jumbo.. they said this is all we have. By then I had already stupidly ordered my 15.00 quesadilla.. Yes 15.00. While it was tasty they had all this fancy sauce and crap on it which I dont need... by this time I was like, whatever. Got the bill and that "jumbo" maragertia was 10.00. So I paid 30.00 for a steak quesadilla and a SMALL maragertia... I'm not loaded but I felt ripped off... The quantity for the price at this place blows.... read more

I am SO excited about this new find in one of my favorite lil beach towns, Seacrest! My family had been raving over the freshness, flavor, and atmosphere, so I just had to come see for myself! First of all, HOW CHARMING! The decor, the outside veranda, all nestled into the cozy little town square. So inviting you just wanna walk right in. Second, the margarita. If you know me at all I am forever questing to find the best. It was rumored that these sweet concoctions were the best in 30a. I am pretty sure they were! Not too tart, not too sweet! The perfect mix and the perfect drink! After that? The main event. THE FOOD. My favorite food is taco anything. So naturally I went with a ground beef taco and it was up to par with some of my favorite back home in Jax. I love the pick two and pick three options so you can mix and match and try a little bit of everything. My mom got the beef enchilada, and my word. So good. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the food was phenomenal. And the prices were excellent, as well! Cap all this off with solid service? Well, y'all have made a believer out of this girl! Cannot wait to come back! read more

This place is horrible. Dry chicken in my chicken fajitas, ten dollars for a bowl of queso, and forty-two dollar receipt for one person. This restaurant is an abomination to 30A and its reputation. read more

I would not recommend going to La Cocina. This restaurant was way over priced for the portions and flavor. The food was not good at all. Our waiter was very kind and responsive which was nice. The front desk people were very rude though. If you do want to go to this restaurant, do not go at happy hour. It was more expensive than dinner. read more

Last year we had such a good visit to LaCo we decided to go again for dinner our second night in town. After waiting for an hour (no big deal--there are lots of shops to explore before they text you for your table) we were seated. Our drink order was immediately taken and our quest dip appetizer ordered. However, as three parties who were seated after us, including a party of 12 teenagers, were served their food we started to question where our food was despite being reassured it was on its way. I kept seeing our waitress glance our way but she must not have ever followed up with the kitchen because after waiting an hour a manager came over and said our order (which was only two orders or chicken nachos and two kids meals) was lost. I was understanding and said I could tell they were busy. Our waitress brought us a comped salsa (which we could not eat due to dietary restrictions) and we waited 15 more minutes before our food arrived. Our nachos were cold as if they had been sitting for too long after being baked. By this time our children were melting down and only ate a few bites of their over-priced kids meals. I complained that our food was cold and they said they would comp them, but they had already said that when we waited over an hour. So we were charged $36 for a bowl of queso, a margarita (since I never got asked if I wanted another one in the hour we sat waiting for our food), and two kids drinks. We couldn't even eat the cold nachos. The manager came back over to apologize and said they were experiencing growing pains which was nice but we still didn't get to eat dinner. Honestly if our kids weren't with us we would have walked out. Never again will we waste an entire night of our vacation at this place. read more

Wow. First time I've been to a Mexican restaurant, particularly one with these kinds of prices, that charges extra for chips and salsa. Could probably overlook that if it wasn't for the fact that the bill for 2 kids meals, 2 regular entrees and a side of queso came out to $90. Sometimes it's the little things that really make a difference. read more

4.5 to be exact, but that's close enough to 5 for me ;) I enjoyed the hell out of this place first things first. I actually enjoyed it so much, that I really have no idea what all we ate or drank at this place. I do remember some super dope dranks, and some duper dope cheesy not even feel guilty about it mexican food. Throughout the week, I'd hear the little teeny boppers talking about, "hey man, meet me at la cocina", and I'd think to myself, yuppp, I be knowing what tf go down at La Cocina!!! Next time I'm in Rosemary Beach, my ass will definitely be back up in La Cocina!!!!! read more

While on vacation, my wife and in-laws were able to experience some otherwise unavailable (non-franchise) dining establishments. I'm not certain whether La Cocina Mexican Grill is a franchise but the fact they were able to revamp the menu lends one to think they aren't. Full disclosure - my wife and in-laws had been to this establishment before. For me however, it was my first (and second) time in three days with dinner on both occasions, the experience was noticeably different from the first to the second night. The first meal was fraught with problems. Although the quality of the food was "predictable", "acceptable" or even "typical", the service was by no means typical. It was abysmal. The wait staff was under represented as a whole, but what WAS there, tried very hard to make up for their short supply. It appeared to be like watching very determined and skilled tennis players playing tug-a-war with NFL linemen. Over their heads but struggling to stay afloat for the sake of the customers and just plain pride. After we left, I was certain we wouldn't be back. The in-laws had other plans. Two nights later we were walking to our dinner destination and I was surprised they felt like giving this place another shot. By now though, I had some preconceived idea what to expect, I could prepare. Long wait, average food and struggling staff. Nothing of the sort occurred. See, unbeknownst to us, that night was the launch of a new menu. With the new menu was specific staff changes. With the staff changes and the new menu came excitement and energy. Okay so here we go. Preconceived notions - out the window! Service, very attentive. Still some bumps but Patrick, the restaurants' manager, assured us they recognize the bumps and in due time, they too will be corrected. So for now, greatly improved overall service. But the food... spectacular! New chef is clearly an improvement. If you had gone prior to 6/12/2018, go again. For your sake. Bear in mind, there may be bumps. But the food, smoooooth and delicious. read more

When I arrived at this restaurant I wasn't feeling my best and I just wanted some nice food to fulfill my sorrowness. The restaurant took our order and we waited for 20 minutes before receiving our food. When the waiter came with our food they gave me a completely different order. I asked for two kids ground beef tacos with cheese and a side of beans and rice but when I got my food, they gave me instead two tortillas with only cheese inside and then for my side I was given french fries. read more

I was pretty disappointed with this place. The people are nice, but overall the service was subpar. Honestly I also wasn't impressed with the food. Chips and salsa weren't free, and they weren't great either. Food and drinks were way overpriced (Even for 30A) and just were not good. Restaurant itself was fine but service+food was just not worth what you pay. Much better off going to a real Mexican place. read more

Great spot, especially during happy hour 3-5pm. Best steak quesadillas & queso you can find around. Would highly recommend.

So sad to write this as I am a long-time fan of this restaurant but tonight was probably our last visit. On the positive side we were seated promptly and the service was GREAT! On the negative side the revamped menu and pricing is out of the ballpark, even for this area. I take offense at paying $3 to have chips and salsa at my table in a Mexican restaurant. My husband got tacos that looked like they were from Taco Bell - small shells with a couple of tablespoons of meat, a smattering of cheese, L&T for $5 each then had to add another $6 to get rice and beans. Taste was good but value for the money was poor. Same comment on my quesadillas - good taste but way overpriced and did not include any side items or even sour cream or guacamole. They have priced themselves out of my willingness to pay. I know this is a tourist area but the value for the money here is just unacceptable. read more

Pork Belly Tacos and steak burrito bowl was excellent. The bartender really knows how to make her margaritas.

We've been coming here for years and it's always been fine but the food last night just wasn't good. All of the meat tasted like it was leftover and had been reheated. My daughter couldn't even stand the taste of the "fish" in her fish taco. The chicken just didn't taste right. Not only did it not have very much flavor, it tasted old. The only positives from the meal were that we had a friendly server and the queso was good. read more

A pretty poor experience all the way around. The to go order for a whopping $100 was enough to feed the 3 kids and everyone else was stuck with left overs from last night.
