I inquired about the process of placing an item on consignment. She explained that the store keeps 50% of the sale. And quickly and defensively added "I know what I'm doing. Hello Ladies, I have been intending to write the owner a thank you letter since July of this year my husband,niece,and I had googled consignment store while staying in Reno at the Silver Legacy my sister n law is a gambler we are shoppers so we found your store on the net saying it was within a couple of blocks from the Cal Neva casino so I had a bright idea for us three to walk down to the store even if it was closing at 4 or 5pm so we set out to walk it was about 100 degree outside by the time we got there we had about 15min to look around.As soon as we walked in the clerk approached offering us cold bottles of water my husband had to grab a seat almost passing out.MY niece and I started to browse she quickly tried on some things unfortunately I didn't find anything. So she purchased her items so was so happy her first time going to Labels ever hubby and I shop in Berkley and Walnut Creek Ca all the time, we shared that with the wonderful clerk she shared that she was the owner of this store.We headed out the locked door she offered to drive us back up town to the Casino in her own Suv hubby blown away she didn't know us from a can of paint not to mention we are from another ethnic background. I have been going there for two years now and I have to say this is the best place to find great deals and the most friendliest service , the fashion is soooooo not out of style the people whom say this have no idea what fashion really is. I was visiting Reno for the first time last weekend and while my hubby was working a convention, I walked the streets looking for shops. I happened to stumble upon Labels, walking up the place is beautifully lit and you can see all the gorgeous things from the street just beckoning you. When I went in immediately, I was greeted by Blythe the owner and offered a drink of water, tea or pop. Her smile was magnetic and I felt as if I were at home among family. The atmosphere of the store is charming, warm and inviting. Even if I did not find anything I would have returned for the company. But finding something was not hard at all. In fact I found to many countless gorgeous pieces and so reasonably priced. Their selection is massive... From evening gowns, suits, gorgeous designer shoes, handbags and jewelry and much much more. I found two stunning dresses that I just could not live with out. I was not planning on spending much, not thinking I would find much so I was not properly prepared! But leave it to Blythe and the amazing staff to have lay way and be able to make all my hopes and dreams come true! Even when I tried on the dresses, I felt at home and I had to walk out and show Blythe and her assistant to get their approval. I LOVE THIS STORE MORE THEN ANYTHING!!! And I will never forget the kindness and love I felt from these two ladies. I am so grateful and happy with them and hope to return to Reno, even if its only to go back to Labels to shop and see my amazingly loving new friends. I recommend if you are ever in Reno or if you live there you should go, visit and shop! It is a store you will return to over and over and again. You will never be disappointed. I used to love this boutique. However, last February or March I purchased an orange vintage Louis Vuitton bag. When I asked the clerk how they verify that the bag is real, she swore up and down that they knew how to authenticate these bags and had many years of experience. Since I have never had an issue with labels before, I purchased the bag with full confidence. Imagine my surprise and embarrassment when I sent it in to a renowned Louis Vuitton repair shop who informed the bag was not real, but the dust bag was. Sometimes mistakes are made so I got the professional opinion of a few experts who all asserted that the bag was fake. I spent $500 on a bag that's worthless. I recommend before you buy, take some pictures and send them into to some authenticating sites (in person is better, but you can't do that). Unfortunately I do not have my receipt any more. This was a severely disappointing experience and I will not shop here again; lesson learned the hard way. I know Louis Vuitton bags are hard to authenticate because they are the most replicated bags and the fakes are good, but don't guarantee a products real when you don't know. read more
