I recently tried the Margherita pizza at LA Waterfront Pizza in Wilmington, and it was fantastic! The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, the tomato sauce had a bright, fresh flavor, and the mozzarella was wonderfully melty. Definitely a must-try if you're in the area! Best pizza in Wilmington, great mom and pop restaurant. The service is great, it cozy with a setup to play record

Decided to celebrate Pi Day by getting takeout pizza pi(e) from LA Waterfront Pizza. We had seen this new spot pop up on Yelp and gave it a shot. Husband called in the order and picked it up about 30min later. The Spicy Honey Detroit was really good! I loved the whipped ricotta on top. The PSM (pepperoni sausage mushroom) was super thin, yet held up! Good flavor and nice crust. The Korean BBQ wings were tasty too! The ranch was just...okay, but I think we are ranch snobs haha! Peep the flyer with the 20% discount code for your first order (Code: LOCAL) Wishing LA Waterfront Pizza the best of luck and hope they get more buzz 'cause they deserve it!

Ordered the Detroit style super sport to be delivered. Delivery driver was courteous and followed instructions to a tee. The pizza was thick and crispy. Loaded with fresh ingredients. Just the right amount of red sauce without drowning it. Every bite that char crisp taste. Highly recommend this place.

Wow! This is absolute gem of a pizza place in the San Pedro! If you're into deep dish Detroit style pizza you gotta check this place out. They have one of my favorite pizzas of all time! To start off they actually use a huge wood fire outdoor oven to cook all their pizzas and that already puts a good aroma out into the air. Then the actual pizza is full of flavor! I always go with the spicy honey deep dish pizza the crust light, fluffy, and crispy and all the other toppings are fire.

Got the Super Sport Pepperoni pizza. Pretty good. The sauce was tart followed by sweetness. The crust was soft but not doughy. Service was very friendly. Only waited about 10 minutes for the pizza.

I'll preface this by saying I got their pizza delivered so did not eat it fresh--yet, I have no complaints! I can't speak to what the restaurant is like in-person unfortunately but the food has definitely made me want to go try it fresh. I was looking to try a new pizza place and LA Waterfront popped up local to me. They had some pretty yummy looking flavors and whipped up personal-size Detroit pizza so I gave it a shot. Firstly, the Spicy Honey detroit pizza was delicious--it had a great balance of flavor and big (cute, swirly) dollops of Ricotta on top to add an additional texture to the doughy yet crispy crusts. I've had plenty of Detroit pizza from other places and this place hits all the checkmarks. The dough was a bit less tall/fluffy than others I've tried but they still capture the right feeling and have the crispy cheese on the crust that really makes detroit style what it's known for. This might not have been intentional, but the honey seemed to also coat the bottom of the pizza which made for a really interesting "caramelized" texture at the bottom. We also got a build your own small pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni. The crust was nice and thin--exactly what you expect from artisan, woodfired pizza. It held up really well and was the right balance between crispy and chewy (it held up the fold test!). The sauce was just flavorful enough to stand out. I'd say a small pizza could definitely feed a single hungry adult, or be enough for two slightly-hungry adults. The detroit pizza comes in 4 slices and could definitely be 2 meals for an adult too, but I don't blame you if you want to finish the whole thing! Overally really quality pies here. Definitely will be back to try some of their other flavors.

Amazing pizza! Hands down this pizza was delicious! I ordered the spicy garlic pepperoni pizza, the favors, and the way the pizza presentation was top-notch. It looked so good, I didn't want to eat it. But nope I enjoyed every last bite. I will definitely be back. This is my new game day spot for pizza, wings, and a cold drink

Found this hidden gem in my area and decided to go and try it out. They have two main types of pizza. The Detroit style and a thin slice. I ended up getting the thin crust which was amazing and was crispy. It's a small place with street parking which was hard to find even past the dinner crowd. They do have outdoor seating. The owner Jerry was very nice to us and telling us about certain events they host like a live DJ.

This place is amazing me and my coworkers stopped by after an event. It's the best choice I made all day! I ordered a Blanca pizza and it did not disappoint! They had great music playing and the vibe was immaculate. The cashier was very sweet and I would definitely return.

Saw some reviews on yelp and decided to check this place out As you can see from the photo we couldn't wait till we got home to start eating it . Great crust and flavor for both pizzas. Would definitely recommend.

Make sure to double check the hours on google or yelp because chances are, they're probably open! The fried chicken itself is really good. If you're doing pickup or delivery, I don't recommend getting the chicken tossed in sauce because you'll lose that great crispiness by the time you get home. The move is to order the regular fried chicken and get the sauces on the side instead. Just a heads up, sauces are about $1.50 each. The habanero garlic sauce is a good one -- they're veryyyy generous with the fresh habaneros and it has great flavor. One thing that surprised me about the chicken is the batter. It's not the typical Korean fried chicken style with a thinner coating -- the batter here is thicker, more like an American-style fried chicken crust. Honestly though, it's sooo good. The crisp on the chicken is great and really satisfying. I do wish they offered a spicy powder or dry seasoning option without sauce though. That would be amazing. The unexpected highlight for me is the Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Wow. The flavor is so good -- really aromatic, creamy, and well balanced without being numbing. It's honestly delicious, and dipping the fried chicken in the sauce is next level. What really brought me back to this place after my first try was the Mala Rose Ddukbokki!! I CRAVE IT!!!! They also have a kimchi fried rice side option which is a nice addition if you want something extra with the meal. I really appreciate the side of mac salad they have here too since they use the big elbow macaroni!!! I'm all about textures! Overall, really solid fried chicken and a standout Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Definitely a spot I will keep coming back to. Already salivating thinking about the Mala Rose

I had been here a few times before, so I knew what I was getting into. I ordered the 8 piece soy garlic bone in chicken wings. At first I thought the price was a little steep thinking all I would get is the chicken. To my surprise, it came with a side of coleslaw, macaroni salad and seasoned brown rice. They fry the chicken when you order so it's about a 15-20 minute wait. The flavor the soy garlic is delicious. It's not overly garlicky nor overly sweet. It's so crispy and even a few days later the chicken was still yummy. I'll definitely come back!

Customers can also find Shlap Muan Chicken Wings at Smorgasburg at ROW DTLA every Sunday. [Parking]: Easy and free strip mall parking. [Atmosphere]: The shop has indoor tables but no TVs, so don't come here expecting to watch sports games. [Ordering]: I placed an online pickup order and my food was ready 5 minutes before my specified pickup time. [Menu]: For wings, there are pan sauces and wok sauces. Their popular Dirty Elvis flavor falls under the wok sauce category (wings tossed in a sweet and smoky caramel sauce). Each order of Dirty Elvis comes with a minimum of 10 wings, but customers can choose a split-flavor option with 5 pieces of Dirty Elvis and 5 pieces of another selected flavor with online orders. For Shlap Muan Wings (pan sauces), customers can order a minimum of 4 pieces per flavor and two highlighted flavors are Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper) and Water Buffalo. *** Dirty Elvis (10 pieces total - Split Flavor on Cambodian Dirt - $16.00): Those 5 Dirty Elvis wings were absolutely amazing - crispy and saucy. The Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper) wings were solid, but in hindsight I probably should have just doubled down and gone with all 10 pieces of Dirty Elvis. Shlap Muan Wings (4 Pieces - Water Buffalo, $6.50): The dipping sauce had a good spicy kick, but it definitely will not be everyone's cup of tea especially for people who (1) are not fans of Buffalo wings or (2) cannot handle a mild version of Sriracha spicy level. *** S-tier for the Dirty Elvis wings and A-tier for the Shlap Muan Wings. For anyone who is a fan of Korean fried chicken or even Vietnamese fried chicken like Mama Hieu's, then Shlap Muan Chicken Wings is definitely worth trying.

I will warn you that the buffalos is a bit spicier than expected, and tasted a bit different than what I had at their Smorgasburg booth. Nonetheless, I loved my meal. Overall, I love Shlap Muan's chicken wings. Service was also A+. I'll definitely be back

Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I ended up just eating some of the fries and threw the rest away. Before tossing it, I tried drenching the fries in their Cajun sauce (which is over $1 per sauce, btw), and even though I really wanted to like it, it had a weird aftertaste. On top of that, I just couldn't get past how hard the chicken was. The Thai tea, fries, and mozzarella sticks were just decent. I'd also like to mention that when I was placing my order over the phone, the man said my total was $67 and some change. When I paid in person, the total somehow jumped to $83.69. I assumed that included the Cajun sauces I ordered over the phone, but it actually didn't. I ended up paying a second transaction for the sauces, which was around $8. Had I possibly been charged for the side of attitude I was also served? To reiterate: the service here sucks. Overall, I won't be back as the quality doesn't match prices. You'd think that a joint that specializes in fried chicken and wings would serve fresh chicken but on the contrary, my chicken was inedible, gross, and clearly old. I love supporting local businesses, but I refuse to support a place that exhibits rude customer service and serves subpar frozen food that I could throw together at home. I don't recommend this spot as there are much better establishments in the area.

Our group of four had a chance to stop by for an early dine-in dinner, and found the chicken to well prepared and tasty. Originally founded in 1976 in Los Angeles by a enterprising franchisee who wanted to create his own fast food brand, Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken soon became very popular with LA residents. As sometimes happens with immigrant communities by word of mouth and 'paying it forward', the burgeoning Cambodians began to be the majority owners of franchisees, until it resulted in the brand being sold to a Cambodian in 2009. Considering the largest concentration of Cambodians outside of Cambodia is in Long Beach, California, I wanted to try this particular location. They also sell donuts here, and my credit card bill actually listed the donut shop as the vendor...this for me is not a selling point, but was not noticeable during our visit. It's a walk-up set-up, where you order/pay for your food through security windows. We ordered a 12-piece family combo for $35.45, which included 3 pieces of breast/thigh/wing/leg, 2 small orders of fries, a coleslaw and 6 rolls. They also sell fried catfish and shrimp, so got a 4 pc shrimp ($3.85). They only sell drinks by cans or bottles, so got 4 cans of Coke/Pepsi/Squirt. It is clearly stated that each order is fried fresh, taking about 20 minutes. Our order was ready in 15 minutes, and we decided to dine-in (a small makeshift outdoor dining area with temporary tables was set-up). The chicken was well brined and had been fried well (leaving plenty of space between the chicken), with the outer coat being crunchy with a little bit of spice. For me it tasted very similar to the popular national chain, but with more consistency. The 'small' fries were not that at all, but very large...with one being enough to feed the four of us. The fries looked underdone, but were not. There were no condiments available, so the saving grace was the thin hot sauce that you could dip your fries and chicken into. The rolls were forgettable, and the coleslaw was grocery store quality (which I actually like). In fact, the chicken and sides reminded me of what you could get at a grocery store deli, except always getting the chicken fresh, instead of ones that have been fried too many to a basket and sitting too long under a heat lamp. Freshness definitely matters here. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us, with us taking half of the meal home. It reheated very well, providing us a good lunch the following day.
