The pizza was soaked in grease it went though the box. Could not even carry the pizza because the box was falling apart. A 60+ dollar pizza

Heard a lot of good things about this place. Paid almost 80 bucks (salad and large 3 topping pizza) and waited 45 minutes only to be let down. I could only munch off toppings because the pizza was so inedible that the grease leaked through the box n was all over my car seat. There was so much grease and moisture that the box was falling apart. I had to toss it because it was terrible. One good thing is that they load the pizza with toppings. Here are some pictures.

The service was great and the hostess explained all about the preparation of the pizza! All made fresh and it took 30 minutes. Mean while I ordered garlic/cheese bread and small salad. Well they said it was small. But it was size for two people to eat! Very good and I had blue cheese dressing and it was super fantastic and the bread was super good! After I was already full, my pizza arrived and I ordered sausage and pepperoni and I was amazed how filling it was and the size was small, but it was big for me! I bite into it and I was WOW! Great Italian pizza Chicago style and the owner isn't stingy on the toppings. Puts lots on the pizza! I give this place 10 out 10! I will be back again!

Rosario's had always been a staple for my family's Friday dinners for decades. I haven't been in years but they have always been consistent. The salad with Bleu cheese dressing is always a go to. The pepperoni pizza always is fire. They never skimp on the cheese or the toppings. You cannot go wrong for a Friday family dinner.

It's hard to tell by looking at it but this pizza is a monster. You pick up a box for a 12" pizza but the weight doesn't match what you see.

It had been too long and I had been thinking about Rosario's pizza. Now you shouldn't even think about Rosario's unless you are committed to doing some serious damage at mealtime. Huge chunks of sausage and generous amounts of mushrooms. Now if you find canned mushrooms an abomination, you'd better skip the shrooms but I don't have any problem with it. Reminds me of the pizzas I had growing up. You may wonder why they don't offer an extra large option. Lift one of their large pizzas and the answer becomes obvious. This is a heavyweight class pizza. Crust could be better and I won't criticize you for leaving the outside ring of crust but what's inside? 1 hour to bake one of these bad boys. 2 slices for lunch and I'm maxed out. The kids will be home soon. They can take their best shot. Just don't ask why I didn't order an XL!

    Inside.

Pizza was delicious. Some people might think it's pricey, but you get a lot more meat probably 4 times more meat than a regular pizza place.

Very thick generous servings of pizza, loaded with mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni and Cheese, my favorite pizza joint, in the South Bay.

Where do I even start about this restaurant?…read more The atmosphere? Welcoming and friendly. The food? Let's just say I was contemplating what dish I wanted to try next WHILE eating my meal- incredible and fresh! I ordered the Butifarra Sandwich, Lomo Saltado, and a PB&J Latte. Butifarra Sandwich: flavorful and super satisfying. It was tender and the bread was soft AND crunchy? Amazing. The yucca fries were a perfect accompaniment. Lomo Saltado: it just hit the spot. This felt like eating a home cooked meal in the very best way. Wholesome and flavorful and fresh! PB&J Latte: this was a cheeky choice for a weekend treat and I was NOT disappointed. Smooth and sweet without being overly sweet thoroughly impressed me. It was pure comfort in a cup. I've been dreaming about this restaurant since trying it for the first time.

It's truly a hidden gem. Once we sat down and placed our order, that's when the smell of the food started coming through, and it made the wait even more worth it. I ordered the pulled ham sandwich, and even though it sounds simple, the flavor and combination of everything, especially with the yuca fries, was really impressive. The spicy sauce they give on the side is also really good and ties everything together. My partner got the green chicken pasta (I can't remember the name), and that was just as delicious. Definitely something I'd order again. We also tried the arroz con leche coffee, which was amazing. I'll probably try it with caffeine next time since we came closer to closing for dinner. The space is ambient and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful when explaining the menu, which makes a big difference when you're not sure what to get. They also have free parking outside, it's handicap accessible, and there are restrooms available. One thing to note--it's a cashless place, so make sure to bring a card. I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu.

Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. The food is good, space is a comfortable neighborhood vibe, and all that. But truly the folks here are amazing humans. Always friendly, warm, and welcoming. If the management team is reading this, you all have a great group of people there! We will definitely be back (again and again and again) and you should too!

Located in the quaint Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, street parking was plentiful right outside the restaurant. We came around noon on Saturday, and thankfully despite their busy brunch rush we were seated immediately. Even though all of their seating is outdoors, tables are shaded by overhanging canopy and just added to the cute southern Italian bistro vibes of the place. The menu had a solid selection of both brunch and lunch items - I loved the Burrata di Campagna, which was flavorful with just the right amount of tart from the heirloom tomatoes. For my main meal I had to go with the Casarecce - one of their pastas that's made fresh in house daily. The braided pasta was wonderfully textured and soaked up all the pesto sauce without being overly oily, a perfect meal for a hot summer day. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. Perhaps I am a little biased, but the laminated dough was perfectly light and flaky, encasing a very generous filling of hazelnut chocolate cream. Our check at the end of the meal even came with a custom drawn postcard by one of the Nonna Mercato service staff - another present to add on to what was already a gift of a meal!
