I love supporting mom and pop restaurants and this looked like a proper old school pizza place. As others have mentioned it's about 25-30 minutes for a pizza if you call in your order so no big deal there.. a small pepperoni can feed 2 or 3 people as it's loaded with pepperoni and has a flaky lightly crispy crust.. it's delicious for sure. Wish I had seen the B health score in the window before I had eaten but maybe it was for the best. The pizza was great and the service was very nice. read more

I haven't eaten here in over 20 years because it's so darn expensive. I decided to splurge and after so many years, it didn't disappoint. Customer service: A+ Food: I ordered a combo that included manicotti w/ marinara sauce, minestrone soup & a small salad. Everything was hot and/or fresh. Pasta had plenty of sauce and tons of cheese. The homemade Italian salad dressing paired perfectly with the crisp salad. I don't think I've ever eaten minestrone soup but it was very good! Heard a lot of good things about this place. Paid almost 80 bucks (salad and large 3 topping pizza) and waited 45 minutes only to be let down. I could only munch off toppings because the pizza was so inedible that the grease leaked through the box n was all over my car seat. There was so much grease and moisture that the box was falling apart. I had to toss it because it was terrible. One good thing is that they load the pizza with toppings. So i finally had a pizza from here. The first time i saw this place and saw the prices i was like Damn. But i see why they are a little pricey, i got the everything pizza and lenme tell you, its as heavy as one of my arms, gotta hold that sum bitch with 2 hands. The service was great and the hostess explained all about the preparation of the pizza! All made fresh and it took 30 minutes. Mean while I ordered garlic/cheese bread and small salad. Well they said it was small. But it was size for two people to eat! Very good and I had blue cheese dressing and it was super fantastic and the bread was super good! After I was already full, my pizza arrived and I ordered sausage and pepperoni and I was amazed how filling it was and the size was small, but it was big for me! I bite into it and I was WOW! Great Italian pizza Chicago style and the owner isn't stingy on the toppings. Puts lots on the pizza! I give this place 10 out 10! I will be back again! read more

I grew up on this pizza! I lived in the Carson apartments in the 80's to 90's and my family would eat here. Still one of my go to spots! The house salad with the mix dressing!!! You'll thank me later. My wife and I usually order a small pepperoni and sausage! The crust is so good! read more

Pizza was horrible. It had lots of toppings but nothing was fresh. All the toppings tasted like they were out of a can and they were not even cooked. $64.00 dollars went straight in the trash. I don't recommend anyone ordering a pizza from them. read more

It has and always will put every other pizza to shame. The amount of toppings is mind blowing. The pizza is so loaded with toppings it literally is too heavy for the box. If you're taking it to go make sure you put a towel down on your seat or floor or back of vehicle. The price is a bit staggering but when you see it you'll understand why. Literally one slice or less could fill you up. The pizza tastes wonderful. The flavors are traditional American Italian old school. Even though I don't work by there anymore I'm still willing to drive the sometime 30 mins to get get this pizza. The people there are great and no nonsense. As someone who grew up near this place and never been until recently, I am amazed it was my first time trying it. The pizza is crispy, dense, and very large portions of toppings. I recommend getting one topping as the amount is quite extensive. Nonetheless, they will definitely keep getting my business and I hope you all check them out too! read more

Bomb. Can't go wrong with the pizza here. Hawaiian one is fire, that's what we usually order. Some say it's a little pricey but i'd say it's definitely worth it! It had been too long and I had been thinking about Rosario's pizza. Now you shouldn't even think about Rosario's unless you are committed to doing some serious damage at mealtime. Huge chunks of sausage and generous amounts of mushrooms. Now if you find canned mushrooms an abomination, you'd better skip the shrooms but I don't have any problem with it. Reminds me of the pizzas I had growing up. You may wonder why they don't offer an extra large option. Lift one of their large pizzas and the answer becomes obvious. This is a heavyweight class pizza. Crust could be better and I won't criticize you for leaving the outside ring of crust but what's inside? 1 hour to bake one of these bad boys. 2 slices for lunch and I'm maxed out. The kids will be home soon. They can take their best shot. Just don't ask why I didn't order an XL! read more

Expensive but if you are into heavy toppings it may be worth it. Personally I think it's over kill but it's a tasty pie even without a 2pounds of toppings. One slice each was enough for my family. I got the half and half $50. Service is good. Pizza always fresh. It's worth at least one try. See for yourself. read more

This fine Italian eatery was recommended to me many years ago, by a few acquaintances. My first visit was with one of those acquaintances, so I asked them to order what they recommended. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is what most people would consider a hole in the wall type of establishment, however, it has the ambience of a vintage Italian restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yes, the food did take at least a half an hour to arrive at our table, however, I will say that it was definitely worth the wait. The moment I took the first bite of the pepperoni pizza, I could instantly taste the high quality of products that were used to make this amazing pie. I will say that they are very generous with their portions, as it would be triple the amount of what your typical pizza would have. The staff is very friendly, and informative. I have eaten here several times, after my first experience, and have recommended it to so many people. My recommendation would be to call, and order ahead, whether you're dining in, or taking out. Also, my suggestion would be to order easy toppings, which is still sufficient. The price reflects the quality of the food, the love, and dedication that is put into preparing everything. I never overhype this recommendation, I just let the food speak for itself. Have not received any disappointing feedback from anyone who has tried it. Top notch pizza. Hands down. Rosario's is a no frills place; they know their pizza (and other offerings) is delicious. Since it is pretty far for us, we take any opportunity to pick up a pizza from there, so when we knew we would be in the area for a drive by baby shower, we ordered up a medium pizza (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and peppers). The pizza weighted about five pounds!!! Completely loaded with toppings and each topping was so freaking good! We sat in our car for about 20 minutes to have a slice, had another for dinner and then again for dinner the next day. And the pizza was still delicious. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. First of all let me start with the facts If you're on a diet, stay home! This is definitely not for the faint of heart. I've been here a few times and made the same mistake each time. We ordered too much food! If just two of you are going to eat, you'll have enough with a small pizza. I ordered the works once and there was too much going on. I ordered 3 toppings and it seems to be a good balance of topping but once again, too much food. The crust is crispy and the sauce is good. My 2 complaints; how can you serve canned mushrooms and salty sausage? Call ahead for reservations because this place is always jumping. It is not cheep so be ready .. One medium slice fills me up and is a great compliment to their killer blue cheese salads. The Rosario's Pizza is close to 2.5" thick and weighs nearly 20lbs for the 16" pizza. I was completely full -food coma full after 2 slices. ANY pizza you get will be loaded with toppings to fill the box and may even spill over. If you're a big fan of sausage pizza (like my brother) or are big on any of the meats, they have it and I tell you, it's insanely good! A bit pricey but worth it. I'll give the pizza 5 stars but we'll have to try out the other stuffs on their menu and update my review on that. read more

I ordered a pepperoni pizza and what I got was half the deli section's pepperonis covering the top of my pizza. Two or three deep in places. If I wanted to be eating baked pepperoni slices then I would've ordered those alone. Yeah, this is better than some places which are cheap in putting pepperonis on your pie. But burying the pizza under the slices is a bit much and destroys the flavor. I was literally picking off layer after layer of pepperonis until I got down to the cheese and pie crust underneath. read more
