    Bulgogi Sub
    Baato M.

I am a fan of the bulgogi calzones. Heads up if you get it to go careful because it will leak some juices. This time I tried their bulgogi sub. It was amazing had to order a second one for later.

Ambiance: it's located at the corner spot in the plaza, a hidden gem in the area Service: super friendly and patient with questions Food & Drink: plenty of choices for pizza, and you can choose to do half and half for certain toppings Manager's Special - **** Pepperoni, Onions, Sausage, Basil, Jalapenos, Bacon Bits, Mushrooms and Garlic Powder on top, bold flavors, recommend Hawaiian - *** Smoked Ham, Pineapples, Onions, Bell Peppers and Portuguese Sausage, sweet taste Sprite - *** canned drink Price: very affordable prices and decent quality, expect $15 per person for a very fulfilling meal

I ordered the cheese pizza 7.99 add bulgogi price is 12 dollar they threw in like 4 pieces for 4 bucks...... too much crust. Not a good pizza, rather go to little Cesar's (also taste burnt)

I've had this place bookmarked for quite sometime. Really curious about their menu because these are the kinds of pizzas you wouldn't typically find at regular pizzerias. But I'll admit, they kinda fell off my radar for a minute until GodDaughter and her fiancee decided to come over for dinner. They have this "we'll have the usual" cuisine for whenever they come over, but one night, they kinda decided to get off that track and wanted something different. I shot 'em a few links for a few eateries (this was #2) and low and behold, this won out the rest. Once they made up their minds as to why they wanted, off I went to put in the order for pickup. Walked in on a late Monday afternoon, and boy, they are busy! So busy that although I was acknowledged when I walked in, it took a couple of minutes for someone to get to me. Put in the orders and "20 minutes" they said. No biggie, I wanted to go to Tokyo Central next door anyway. Came through close to 20 minutes and they seemed even busier! Lots of pick up orders, phones were ringin' off the hook for both pick up and delivery orders... man! This place is popular! I'll admit, it took another 10 minutes before my food was ready. Didn't mind it so much, I wasn't really in a hurry. The drive home was almost like torture, my car smelled so delicious! I wasn't even hungry, but the aroma made me kinda drool! MEXICAN PIZZA: They asked if I wanted jalapenos or banana peppers. I asked if it was possible to get both. "Sure!" Generous toppings and distributed evenly. Each slice got the same amount of everything. Flavor profile was on point. Delicious! BULGOGI PIZZA: There was a lotta work (and a lotta love!) put in this pizza. The ribeye was the very center and star of this pie. Marinade was fantastic, meat was tender and the other toppings did their job of being great sidekicks. Highly recommending! SPICY WINGS: This needed work. It was dry, almost overcooked and seasoning needs some kinda umph. They were also smaller than what I'm used to... might just skip this next time. (Also got an order of garlic bread, but I didn't get to try it. I was told it was okay, though...) FOOD: 4.5. The pizzas were certainly a huge saving grace to the disappointing wings. And I have to mention: the dough, is what makes them. I might try thin versions next time! SERVICE: 3.5. Not a lot of interaction and later than the promised time, but they were busy, so... I'll most likely call it in next time. VALUE: 4. More quality than quantity! PARKING: Located in Pacific Square, shared with many other businesses. Lots of spots open anytime of the day. Not an issue. OVERALL: 4. Great first impression! Looking forward to that second visit to try their meat lover and pastrami versions! So if you're out to try an out-of-the-norm, different and unique pizza, this place might be a good start!

Nostalgic place for me - i have been coming here for at least 45 years ( giving my age away ), and it is that good!! My friends who moved have asked me to pick up a calzone for them whenever I'm coming to visit....because it is that good!

    Large Manager 's Special
    Jason L.

Tucked away in the back corner of the plaza, this place got my attention when I saw that they serve up a bulgogi pizza which is definitely unique. After finally checking this place out, I was pretty disappointed with my experience. We got a large manager's special pizza which basically comes with every topping you can think of. While I was happy with the amount of toppings it comes with, the pizza itself was terrible. The pizza was overcooked to where the cheese would just separate from the entire pizza with each bite. When you think of biting into a pizza, you think of the cheese being super stringy but that doesn't happen at Pizza Machine. There's no semblance of soft, stringy cheese. Needless to say, the crust was rock hard and tough. No doughy crust here! While I'm glad I supported a small business, I'm not sure I'll be going back...

We're already big fans of Aunty Maile's, so we were excited to support this business and drive from South OC here. We love that they expanded the menu to include plate lunches and all the familiar goodies from Aunty Maile's. We came at 3 pm, and it was crowded. There was a band playing - 4 uncles playing familiar, great music and harmonizing so beautifully. An aunty got up to do a beautiful hula dance. It's almost as if we're back on the islands at a family luau. For the first round, we ordered 2 large pizzas (one for to-go), and 4 plate lunches for the 6 of us. A couple new dishes for us here are spicy miso tofu and char siu chicken. For the tofu, I substituted rice and Mac salad for a garden salad. Oh, my goodness! Their salad dressing is amazing! It has a hint of sweetness and tartness and then bam!..the fresh garlic! Yum! Tofu was good, too! Hubby had the char siu chicken with all rice and no Mac salad. It came with a side of hot mustard. Truly onolicious! Only ask for next time is extra hot mustard. For dessert round, we got a dozen malasadas - 6 "simple kine" and 6 "filled," and a shave ice. Everything was great - food, service, and atmosphere. Oh, I forgot to mention that they hosted a pet adoption outside. So, on top of that, they're people with great hearts.

Those are probably some of the best and most consistent items on the menu. Two other items that I've had that I'd recommend improvement are: - garlic cheese tater tots. The flavor is bland and really missing the lemon/citrus accent. Both times I've had them, they mostly just tasted like oil, almost nutty in flavor. Service here is okay. The staff is friendly and constantly moving around. Sometimes it can be hard to get a hold of someone, especially if they're in the back where customers can't see them. It's a small to medium sized restaurant so expect it to be busy and packed on nights and weekends. Also keep in mind that the parking lot is shared in a plaza, but they also have an underground parking garage too. Overall, would come back, but for only specific things.

I've eaten fettuccine Alfredo at Italian restaurants all over, and I can say without hesitation that Lomeli's makes the best I've ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right--she couldn't stop talking about it. The service deserves its own spotlight. Nancy and Adam were outstanding--warm, attentive, and genuinely kind people who make you feel like family the moment you sit down. Restaurants can teach technique, but they can't teach heart, and Lomeli's has it in abundance. And then there's the ambience. If you enjoy the timeless voices of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole, you're in for a treat. Their music fills the room and creates the perfect backdrop for an Italian meal. The place is small so if you want to do a walk in be prepared to wait, but the wait is honestly so random. One time I got in 25 minutes later and next time 45 minutes. First time, I got takeout and was honestly disappointed. The pizza got cold during the 12 minute walk back to my apartment and it just didn't hit the same because it wasn't fresh. Second time, we did a walk-in on a Sunday and somehow got really lucky. Waited about 20 minutes at a nearby coffee shop because of cancellations. We got the Margherita special and Ruti's pizza, and both were out of this world. Especially the Margherita special... this is hands down my favorite pizza i've tried in LA. I tend to gravitate toward classic flavors and they did everything right with this one. The crust alone... probably the best Neapolitan dough I've had in my life. It's pillowy, soft, slightly chewy, and just has that perfect structure. Only thing to note is their pizzas are VERY floppy. Like... really floppy. So if that's not your thing, you might not love it as much. Ruti's pizza is a white base with soppressata, fresh arugula, and hot honey. The sweet and spicy combo worked really well, super balanced and not overwhelming. We also got the tricolor salad which was a great starter. Very fresh, bright, and tangy from the lemon dressing. It cuts through the heaviness of the pizza perfectly. Third time, we did another walk-in on a Saturday around 2:30 PM and got seated within 30 minutes. At this point I'm convinced I just have good luck with the wait times!! We ordered the mala lamb sausage, diavola, bianca, and tiramisu. My favorite this time was the bianca. It was lighter and acted as a really nice palate cleanser between the heavier pizzas. You can actually taste the lemon in it, which surprisingly I loved on pizza. Only thing is you have to eat it fast because once it cools down, the cheese solidifies pretty quickly. The mala lamb sausage is definitely a crowd favorite, but not my personal favorite.... It leans heavier and the lamb flavor comes through pretty strong. If you like bold flavors you'll probably love it, but I personally prefer something more classic and clean like the margherita or the bianca. The diavola was solid. The soppressata brought the right amount of spice and everything felt really balanced. And the tiramisu... I will always get this if I have room for dessert. It's a good portion size!! The three of us shared it after already eating three pizzas (and still had 3 slices leftover) and we were completely stuffed. I would come back again for the Margherita special and the tiramisu alone.
